' Wrote:3. Corsairs : do they smuggle cardamine? do they smuggle marijuana to any house systems ? May we be more advanced than the harvester ?
Gaians : Do they exists ? (sorry for NLH but that's true, your are one of the less active faction)
No, they're just known as one of the most notorious pirate groups in Sirius. You know, throatcutting bloodthirsty "yearrr" piarates.
And you saying "we don't attack the Corsairs cause they could beat us" just smacks of PvP whoring.
Also, this is a RolePlay server, I suggest you try Roleplaying. You know, leaving personal fealings when you log in.
PRIMARY TARGETS :
The T2B units will engage on sight and without warning the vessels listed below.
All Outcast vessel classes.
All Liberty Rogue vessels class.
All Lane Hacker vessels class.
All Molly vessel classes.
All Dragon vessel classes.
All Golden Chrysanthemum vessel classes.
All Red Hessian vessel classes.
Corsair Cruisers, Battleship vessel classes.
Order Cruisers, Battleship vessel classes.
Undientified "Nomad" vessels.
Simply put, there is NO role-playing justification for this conduct.
You're a bounty hunter - act like it. If you're ticked off because your Corsair character keep getting attacked by the Search/Destroy agency - and yes, I saw that in your note - then be prepared for the consequences.
A blanket KoS faction description means one thing - PvP whoring. Pure, plain, and simple. The description you have is not a bounty hunter.
Quote:One other, relatively minor detail...
This whole server is about Role Playing. This does not mean that in a PvP situation, if it arises, that you are going to be in a fair fight all of the time, or even SOME of the time. It may mean that you end up getting your butt kicked. It may mean that when you decide to undock from a planet that someone VERY large happens to be there. Welcome to combat, people. The reason he's called the enemy is that he's going to (make a mess of) your nice battle plans.
Sure, this is a game - but it's a game based on a reasonable (!) extrapolation of what could happen. Those of us who have or had military experience know that there is, or never should be, anything remotely like a fair fight. You should be going into combat expecting to either kick the living snot out of the other guy - or expecting that you're going to get smeared so badly that it's not even funny - and hopefully if you've planned properly, you'll be in the first group.
Bounty Hunters as quasi-police, quasi-military, and quasi-mercenary. They're not officially police, because they don't work directly for the government. They work for pay. At the same time, in Sirius Universe terms, as a guild there are some organizations that are KoS. Everything else is subject to negotiation.
--
Read the description of a REAL bounty hunter organization:
The nature of our work means we are effectively allied with the police of all Houses. We do NOT engage individuals unless they are valid bounty targets. We reserve the right to defend ourselves.
We consider ourselves at war with the Order and will engage on sight any Order tagged and i.d.'d vessel.
All vessels shall carry a BH tag.
Core operatives must carry a BH Guard tag.
All vessels shall carry a Bounty Hunters' Guild identification card.
Allied (our principal clients are the lawful police factions of Sirius, although we may not always be contracted to work in their space) - RFP (no current contract); KSP (no current contract); BPA; LPI
Friendly (our secondary clients and associates are primarily the lawful military and trade factions of Sirius as well as independent factions that are neither strictly lawful or unlawful)- TAZ; RM; QCRF; CR; BMM; Synth Foods; RepEx; Gateway; LN; LSF; DW; SSO; IND; KOF; UOG
Neutral (Factions we have no reason to interact with yet or whose attitude is subject to negotiation, including all Kusari factions.)- KNF; AFA; Angels; JG; MM; TAZ; HG; Kishiro
Hostile (We are prepared to defend ourself but we do not initiate hostilities unless there is a contract open) - All unlawful factions and criminals - LR; XA; LH; HF; TBH; OPG; Benitez; Harvesters; holders of terrorists i.d.'s; SCRA; NLH; 101st; Phantoms; RoS; RHA; VF
Belligerent (We will attempt to destroy when a target of opportunity presents itself) - Bs; any Order I.D.'d ships; Das Wilde; Keepers; all bountied targets
--
In other words - guess what? If you as a Corsair or Hessian - or anyone else EXCEPT the Belligerent - if we see you in Liberty or Bretonian space, we'll fight you for the bounty. If we see you in the Omegas, we'll be HAPPY to just wave and say hi, because there's NOTHING IN IT for us. We don't like you, and we'll cheerfully kill you if we're getting paid for it - but out in the boonies - live and let live.
The minor detail that you've left off Corsair fighters, bombers, and gunships says two things.
You want to fly 'friendly' with them, and potentially act on their side as pirates.
You cannot actually step back from your Corsair character, and role play, so you're going to try to ruin things for legitimate bounty hunters by acting like pirates with bounty hunter ships.
All you want to do is engage in combat and do PvP. That's fine if you're in Connecticut - but since this is first and fore-most an RP server, then this so-called 'faction', based on it's description, has no business being here whatsoever.
The rest of us are here to play, interact, and have a good time doing so.
And, while I've got my soapbox out - since this thread is supposed to be about faction formation - then you should be prepared for negative comments. This is not flaming - this is an attempt by mature individuals to help the server as a whole grow in a positive manner.
The key thing is that you have to have RP justification. Just saying you're a robot bounty hunter and you're going to attack a lawful - not likely, friend. Those are the actions of a pirate, pure, plain, and simple. Take your ships up to Tokyo system and hang out - with those tags and ID's, you'll get all the action you want.

1st : You asked us to do not continue and state our business in bretonia.
2nd : I answered we where searching S/D hunters in order to trade with them (it was part of an RP building) and i continued to say we were late (they all logged off) and we would continue to the rheinland (i may have said Omega 15 but at least I've said "rheinland")
At the same time, my mates were killing corsair npcs (YES YES THEY ARE RED FOR US !). Did they really menace you killing corsairs ?
3rd : You asked us if we were the hunters who cause the last trouble to outcasts, here i answered affirmative and that "outcast units are set as PRIMARY TARGET"
4th : Here is the funny part. You were like asking to stop outcasts destruction because they are helping you (maybe about corsairs yes) and asked about corsairs.
5th : I answered "corsairs units are set as SECONDARY TARGET".
6th : Here a trader (I don't know really but it might be a trader) was claiming help due to corsair attack. All trade lines were disrupted by your forces. We might be more important than a rich trader giving goods to bretonia
7th : You started rebooting menace on us.
8th : You asked me something i didn't understood (sorry but I'm not english) and told you i didn't understood what you were talking about.
9th : Serious rebooting menace => engagement !
The apologize you are waiting will NEVER come since YOU started the menace.
PS : That guy in high priority list is here for using a tizona + salamanka. WOW I LOVE ENOUGH CORSAIRS TO DESTROY THEM !
Now, that's funny. You said that the unit didn't understand when I asked you to help us against the Corsairs. And I thought you just didn't understand why you would do something against them...
Edit: at the time there was a wall of chat... maybe there was some other hard sentence at the same time.

An advice, Grimly. May I remind you that this is your own faction's presentation/feedback thread. While all the people that are "flaming" you can just walk away in the end of the day, you are bound to it. If you become part of the force to turn this upside down, you're only hurting yourself. I'd suggest you keep a resilient stance and demonstrate through sound argumentation that the claims and accusations thrown at you are wrong and unfounded. If you can't do that, then either they aren't wrong and unfounded, or you're not yet ready to support this group.
You can use this feedback as a basis for improvement instead of assuming an immovable stance. No wonder people are applying an ever increasing force against you.
For whom it may concern: Try and confront the ideas, not the person.

I know control myself thanks. Here half of what i see is against me (cause i got corsair chars) and not my group, I do not appreciate, I'd prefer get flames in private.

I understood you were asking us how we see corsairs. I answered like i understood it. We were ready to engage the corsairs if you didn't send that hack menace. I also asked to lower your aggressiveness (lower the power suppling to your weapons).

I'll say what I said in the skype chat;
[9/13/2008 9:12:51 PM] Evan Sondgerath (Dab) says: I was just so ****ing fed up with the BHG cap whoring
[9/13/2008 9:13:01 PM] Evan Sondgerath (Dab) says: It makes it worse when people try to JUSTIFY it and make excuses
[9/13/2008 9:13:10 PM] Evan Sondgerath (Dab) says: If your going to do it, at least be ****ing man enough to admit it.
I apologize for the language, but its a copy+paste from skype.
Justifying has never been an equivalent for 'fine.' It simply means that you just try to hide what your doing, rather than owning up to it. In my mind, thats even worse. If you ever hope this faction to be liked, or even tolerated, you better fix everything you have wrong up there in your first post. That means a completel overhaul of about 90% of it.
Grimly, shame on you, and shut the hell up. It's bloody obvious you're trying to get revenge on Outcasts. If I see you anytime soon camping outside of Malta I'm going to turn you into a real moronic Corsair as you are.
<span style="font-family:Comic Sans Ms">Left 4 good. 8-|
We're not flaming you here, we're telling you what is wrong with your faction. We may not do it in a polite manner, but thats because of what we've seen in this. It ticks people off, so we're going to be very blunt in what we tell you is wrong.
