Bob.The.Wrecker, Nea.Caisa, and Tratto.Fax have been sanctioned for:

Quote:1.3 Every player must have one ID equipped on their ship. Player should follow the restrictions and allowances listed in their ID and their roleplay and conduct must match the actions of their characters. In cases where these restrictions and allowances conflict with the server rules, the ID overrides the rules.

Consequences:

So a Lane Hacker is flying around doing Lane Hacker stuff. Makes sense. But when two Freelancers starting attacking said Lane Hacker? Then a pirate joins them in attacking him without a demand? That really doesn't make a lot of sense. See, Freelancers can't attack someone whenever they want. If there was a bounty? Sure - if you claim it is a bounty, and claim the bounty within 3 days. Neither was done. Also, pirates can't attack without a demand, nor can they assist pilots whom are not the same affiliation.

I.. I must be be going crazy, cause nothing makes sense in your actions. I needed to speak someone who could make sense of it all, and they're not cheap. So I used some of your money and sold some of your equipment to get the funds needed. I left a note in your hold though. Hopefully things will be clearer in the future in regards your actions.

If you post in this sanction and are not directly involved or a leader of the accused person's faction be advised that you are consenting to be subjected to the reprisal of my choice which may involve in game repercussions up to a ban. Blaming members of your immediate family, neighbours, friends, pets, and assorted Orcs, Trolls and any other legendary creatures may result in the use of Admin Right #CTE 750AE

Well I guees the hacker got grumpy he did not get his blues. But it is right , I for one ( don't know about the others, how they came to be in a fight with the hacker and the lsf guy) did not follow my id restrictions. Although I do have a question, is merely saying "engaging" considered an attack? I'm asking because of this : 3.1 An attack is any hostile action that drains shields to less than 50%. I don't mean to get all technical, but I for one did not drain his shield to less than 50%. Just wondering.
Also I find it weird that if a player is being abused, let's say, by other/s player/s in a certain situation, and he knows they are in the wrong and will report them, but he still feeds that situation. For example, when I attacked the hacker he did not run or try to dock or anything to stop this and report me. He kept on fighting which leads me to think that if he managed to shoot us down and get his blues this report and sanction would not have existed.
Anyway, I know I was in the wrong and I'll try my best to not let this kind of thing happen again.

P.S.: I would like to see some evidence also.

I would like to see evidence also and I think the mighty admin team find this OK

Quote:[02.10.2014 18:27:02] LH~Vladimir.Scorpius.: Fax, shut the hell up
[02.10.2014 18:27:15] LH~Vladimir.Scorpius.: Your voice is insufferable.
[02.10.2014 18:27:44] LH~Vladimir.Scorpius.: Do you have any idea who I am that you are suggesting it?
[02.10.2014 18:29:19] LH~Vladimir.Scorpius.: I guess you are just Rorgue's bitch.

But I suppose this is OK, since this was before the actual engagement, there this rule apply that admins said a lot and I quote the ruke

Quote:1.2 Trolling or harassing other members of the community

and now I quote Garrett Jax

Quote:Additionally, there are more examples of players developing OORP hate toward specific factions and making it their goal to kill off the hated faction.

this can be "the hated individuals"

And the most important, this one

Quote:Still more examples are of those that bait others into rules violations. These players know very well the rules of the server and are very careful not to violate them. However, these players either take advantage of the ignorance of others, or annoy them so much that in their frustration they break a server rule. This leads to a Sanction report for the rule violator and the one that baited them in the first place laughs and does the same thing to another unfortunate victim.

So in this light, everything was OK from the hacker side, at least from the Admins' perspective.

Quote:[02.10.2014 18:39:00] LH~Vladimir.Scorpius.: Problem is that he always runs away with cloak

This is the final proof that he has OORP hate for me and the others, which is not OK.

He annoyed and cursed us a lot before the engagement started. He already knew what we did multiple times (because if you are ganked by 20 liberty ships at once, of course you run with cloak, that is the only thing you can do to stay alive). But him, in RP, as a hacker, had no way of knowing that.

In conclusion, we were trolled by the said lane hacker, making us mad because he trolled us with OORP methods.

I bet he was a lawful liberty char in many many fights against us and he was upset that he did not get his blue messages, so instead, he made us mad by OORP methods (logging in a lane hacker ship), in order to get a sanction so maybe we will stop playing.

And he succeeded.

Maybe the admins will be more careful in the near future regarding what Garrett Jax once said into a community post

And I quote

Quote:Therefore, if the Admins discover that a player is engaging in disruptive behavior detrimental to the server, we will break them off quickly, even if there is no evidence of a direct rule violation. As a warning, they will find themselves in Probation, possibly without significant game assets. Another incident of disruptive behavior will leave them banned indefinitely.

Our hope is to create a positive, fun environment that will draw people to the community, not have them leaving in disgust. The Staff cannot do this alone however. We need each and every one of you to do your part. By playing with a spirit of fairness and good sportsmanship, you can help make this a place that will be welcome and inviting to both new and old players alike. We encourage you to be mindful of Rule 1.2.

Thank you very much and I wish you all a good day

PM Sent to both of you.

I looked over the chat logs just now. It appears that everything the accuser said to you was in RP, which is fine. He was acting like a typical Lane Hacker.

I don't know whether you were the Freelancer with the Rogue IFF, or the Pirate ID player attacking without a demand, but regardless, both were acting against server rules.

Bounty rules require an actual bounty to be in place, or made in game with all parties made aware of it. Without that bounty, Freelancer ID'd players may not attack. Pirate ID requires a demand being made prior to attack. There wasn't one according to the chat logs.

I know it's frustrating to get sanctioned. The knee jerk reaction of many is to point the finger at the other player and try and justify their actions. However, I would focus more on your errors and fix those.

The Admins will determine whether someone is violating Rule 1.2 to such an extent that it warrants removal from the server. Personally, I don't see anything even remotely close to that here.

I am Nea.Caisa

Which means neither the Freelancer ID with Rogue IFF and neither the Pirate ID ship.

I was a ship without IFF and with Freelancer ID.

I see that I wasted my time posting what I already posted and I will do what you already said in the community post.

Quote:Our hope is to create a positive, fun environment that will draw people to the community, not have them leaving in disgust.

I will just leave in disgust and stop playing in Liberty with that char, at least for some days.

Clearly the hacker is friend with the admins, since you said what you just said. Cursing and developing OORP hate, knowing things that he cannot in the normal way

Quote:[02.10.2014 18:39:00] LH~Vladimir.Scorpius.: Problem is that he always runs away with cloak

I suppose that this was a joke which is written directly on the id

Quote:Can attack any ship in self-defense or to protect an allied or neutral ship.

I arrived to the fight scene, I saw Tratto fighting a lane hacker. So I DEFENDED an allied ship.

But I don't expect to admit that you made a mistake here.

Tratto.Fax here

In-rp or not, nobody calls me a b.i.t.c.h... that's why I hunted down and shot that lane hacker, in-rp action as well ...
I really don't get it, why I was sanctioned ? For what exactly ?

Despite giving clear reasons above why you all were sanctioned, you keep arguing the point. Except for Gondoros. He accepted it, and moved on (PM incoming btw). InRP behavior does not justify breaking ID rules. Case and point. Closing this.
