It took no more than a few days when small crew of four people, on-board of FKS "Ronin", became rather disinterested into piracy on the Bretonian account. Captain of the vessel was not even impressed by the advantages offered by Bretonian letter of marque, because the flaws of flying under Bretonian flag caused more problems than flying without that.
"Head me," he said to his friends. "Our Bretonian employers do not look at us with respect, as they regard us as somekind of abnormality. Yet they are not happy with our Mission that takes the priority in our Hearts."
The crew members looked at him, then at themselves. Indeed, being Privateers brought more harm than good, binding their hands as the Crown did not want them in Kusari space. In Nagano and Kyushu, because it was their own goal. To maintain endless propaganda and crusade against Gallic puppets in Kusari.
"We must severe our ties with Bretonian Privateers, yet we cannot give away this vessel. It has proven very useful in combat..." Hide pondered. They were currently in Taus, where they were waiting for making report to the Bretonian officer. "Yet I do not heed war with Bretonia..."
After all these thoughts and lack of further fruits in this discussion, the message appeared on the console. It was the Armed Forces freighter with VIP on board. It was the Bretonian officer, however, more like a civilian scribbler than a true soldier.
"Ah, here he is..." started Hide, but the pilot cut his sentence in half.
"It's a her... Jessica Smith, Privateer."
"Ah..." The Kusarian smiled to himself. "Let her in."

"I am impressed by your score, Kusarian..." the lady in the BAF uniform sat in his usual place. "Ronin became a very useable vessel for the Crown. The Queen herself is very impressed about your doing in Taus... except for that incident in Cortez with Liberty Navy," she glared at him.
"It was the pure incident, you see," Kusarian smiled. "You see, we were protecting our dear Junker..."
"The Bretonian Privateers cannot help criminals, petty captain," Jessica exclaimed, looking around the logs of the ship - what infuriated him a bit, because she would eventually trace the...
"Omicron Alpha?" Bretonian lady stopped at the log. "When the hell you have been there, Privateer? Do I need to recall you that this is a system off-limits for all Bretonians?"
"We are not Bretonians."
"But you are under Bretonian protection!" Jessica stood up and glared again upon him. "Kusarian, Outcast, even Gallic, if you'd like, but... Under. Bretonian. Protection. Understand?"
Hide said nothing, challenging her glare with his own. The other Kusarians looked at themselves, yet they were to be cautionous what was going to happen.
"Moreover, you are just a Privateer! What have you been doing there?"
"It is not your---"
"WHAT have YOU been doing THERE?" Officer almost growled upon him. "This is time of war, you violate your orders to stay in Taus. Moreover, you go moved your damn arse straight into Omicrons, yet into the Outcasts' homeworld itself! I would shoot you for that, because Bretonian---"
"Enough!"
She stopped. Hide had walked to her and did unthinkable. Jessica fell down as the, she thought, "loyal" Privateer stroke her down.
"You son of a whore, you will hang for this!" she stood up and just looked behind him. "What are you trying to..."
Before she could finish, BAF freighter acquired the critical hit straight into the cockpit, with shields down. Even if it was only one hit, cockpit of the freighter broke and the void of space made the rest. Jessica looked how pilots and crew from her vessel were just sucked away into space, with no suits on.
"You WILL hang for THIS!" Bretonian lady exclaimed again, attacking the defector, but Hide was faster. He held her up and immobilized in no time, pushing her then to his comrades. She tried to pick up a gun, but the holster was empty.
"Do whatever you want with her, then kill her." It was the Kusarian, who had her side-arm.
"You... YOU CAN'T!" The girl's eyes became wide opened. "You... you don't mean..."
"Yes I do... I'll light up my Marijuana in cargo bay. Have fun, boys..." He left the bridge slowly, not wanting to think about what would happen to the Bretonian lady. But he knew what will happen, before she would be dead. As he left the bridge, he heard her screams. As the doors closed after him, he smiled to himself, grimly.
"Greater good of Kusari is our priority. Everything else is expendable."
