I watched the demo of voice commands for SC, and was excited about its' potential. I didn't see why it couldn't be applied to Freelancer. So, after my investigation and experimentation...Success!! The program is free for 21 days and about $8.00 to purchase...so without delay. First, go to Voiceattack.com...you will have to train your PC to know your voice with Voice Recognition (Window program on your PC already). The only sad feature is you only get 21 commands with the free version until you purchase the game and then you get unlimited; I used them all up quickly. Once you train your PC, the rest is simple. Just tell Voice Attack what you will say and what key to push, hold or turn on. You can design Macros to setup a series of actions with one command...example "Guns" to turn on just your guns...and yes, this program can be applied to many other games..I am waiting for the full program to apply it to MW3. I am including a YouTube instructional video to help out..Have Fun!! Big Grin

I'm pretty sure 3rd party programs are prohibited under the rules.

Like he said. This is against rules, I believe.

The Voice Attack program has nothing to do with the FL game, it is all about your PC.

Even using Macros which you mentioned too are considered as using 3rd party program to change gameplay and thus cheating...

I like the creativity and underlying idea of this though. I don't think such a program should be considered cheating as I do not see how one could gain any pvp advantage with it over regular mouse commands.

So that means if I have a disability (which I do), then I can not set the game up to Accommodate my disability. Hmmm....be very careful, in USA that is a Federal Crime under the disabilities accommodation laws.

Nobody has to care what is crime in USA because server is located in Germany so it´s under German laws.

Anyway, without details it´s hard to judge. But I´m just informing you what is valid and several people were sanctioned for using macros. So be careful for what you use them. Nothing more.

As this is not similar to the "implementation of ingame voice for RP" thread, I guess this could go.

Running programs for Freelancer outside of its flhook plugin wouldn't work out as I believe, and another problem is the Freelancer's very limited engine. Not much can be done , unless the Devs could consider this.

Players who have disabilities should find it easier to command the ship with "voice", depending on the disability the person has. although, I cannot say if this will be implemented ( 50% chance that this gets implemented in the flhook , depending if its possible ).

Even if I can't use this program in disco, wow it's amazing and cheap. I'll certainly be buying it.
