If you want me to be honest, Gaians and Planetform never had an event even remotely related to their causes or war with each other, but that's not suprising consirdering the huge activity both sides have... If there somehow would be enough people to set up one, I guess it would be a Gaian raid on Methyr-Tudfill Mining Facility in Poole or Planetform raid on Islay/Holmfirth.
Other than that, I'd like to see more pews like Dundee, maybe snub-only pews in Omegas, or something like the nomad material convoy event we had few months ago. I generally don't like to participate in Conn events, I find them way too "artificial". I'd also support attempts to inject some more life into OC/Sair war.
the planetside -> gaian thing is a pretty fair point, neither faction has really ever had any love given to it.
but like do people even have gaian or PF ships? I had actually forgotten that planetform was a thing.
going a little deeper into that though. why would planetform risk an attack on a gaian base? I cant even remember the last time i saw a planetform NPC nevermind a player character. (i think i saw a player PF character back in 2010, one time, and then never again.
Just wondering what your thought would be on that. also many people immediately errect their 'im not good at pvp so i cant take part, let people that are good at pvp do the pvp' which is frankly one of the worst attitudes to have in a game about shooty spaceships especially with the player count as low as it is.
what about a purely text based RP event? the epic problem with these is again that it is VERY difficult to honestly role play in a huge group.
I had somewhat of a idea while back.
Something like a detective/hunt game.
Lets say,
A "package" has to go from point A to point B. Not a short distance trough. Something like 10 or more systems.
Now this package has to be something not very common, like a gun, armor or a cargo hold of goods. Prehaps 10 units of X, 10 unit of Y and 10 units of Z.
The package will have to get to it's destination, while transfering couriers(players). Like every few systems the package changes hands.
Now we come to the core of things. A group or players, bounty hunters, detectives, whatever, have to get a hold of the package. They will have the possible name of the 1st courier and no more info.
So how are they going to find the package? Either by interogating a courier or asking the locals (if they have seen the package).
It's still a rough idea and I think I'll need more thinking, but I'd like to see a even like that.
hm, itd be very difficult to moderate an event with so many variables. not everyone would understand every aspect of the game, people would get confused, accidentally break rules. etc
Main thing is the hate between Gaians and Planetform, and the constant Gaian raids on Cantenbury and PFI convoys. With BAF being busy in Leeds and BPA trying to hold off Sair "invasion" of Cambridge, the Planetform would most likely take the matters in their own hands. Also, mind that current CEO of PFI is... mentally unpredictable and their employees are far from being entirely sane either. This mix gives us a nice background for some fights, doesn't it?
As a side note, Planetform NPCs like to swarm Cali Minor.
A text based RP event was hanging around my mind for a long time now, but there are very few things in Gaian - Planetform war that could be played forumside. However, there's a place that holds quite a potential for some interesting stories, namely planet Harris, but I think that exact specifics on this are for a separate thread.
Overall, those two factions, at least in my opinion, offer some nice "secret war" RP, like raiding each other, mutant-genetic mess and stuff like that. However, to have RP, we need people, and people seem to not be very interested in those two factions, which is an odd thing for me.

Yeah. There are too many things that could go wrong.
Anyway, just though i'd share.
well i tried to organise a cap event, sure it was in conn, but conn is the easiest system to reach for everyone that plays, and the turn out was disapointing.
Maybe AI vs nomads
Nomads vs corsairs
Ai vs corsairs
AI vs gammu apes. (lol?)
