"They released me from medical leave at Lisbon Station today. Breathing normal air is a bit rough, after having been on a helium-oxygen mix for almost two months to heal the plasma burns in my lungs, but they say the breathing pain will fade fairly quickly now that I'm active again.
Upon full release from the recovery ward, I was contacted by Order Guard Command with a request to return to active duty. They had arranged for a shuttle to transport me to the Battleship Apophis, where an awards and funeral ceremony was being held for the few surviving crewmembers of the Pakhet.
I received a promotion from Sub-Commander to Commander at the ceremony. It wasnt something I expected, not after losing such a valuable vessel in the Order's fleets. How crude is it that those who survive are praised while those who died are pitied? Commander Eisen would probably agree with high command's outlook on the situation, but I certainly dont. Eisen and his men deserved better, they died fighting deceptive bounty hunter dogs that the Order shoudlnt even have to deal with, there's no honor in that.
Regardless, the promotion I was given means little as of yet. It's just a title, they have no ship for me to command, not yet. The Order's resources are running thin, but a new generation of warships is being constructed at Evora to bolster our defenses against encroaching bounty hunter aggression. Further, the Wild and Nomads have been increasingly hostile as of late.
Apparently during my leave of absence, some kind of peace treaty was forged with liberty, a cease fire or whatnot. I know it wont last, but as far as I'm concerned at least it gets liberty off our backs so we can focus on the larger threats at hand. The less ships we have to throw against those liberty tools, the more we have to fight off real threats.
I dont know what ship I'll be given command of, at this point I dont think I'd be surprised to find myself piloting a waste disposal transport, the Order's resources seem to be running thinner by the minute. I probably shouldnt be so skeptical... we've got the best engineers and scientists in Sirius, just no money to pay them with and no material for them to work with. *sigh*, I suppose it will all work out eventually.
In the meantime, The Admiral of the Apophis has allowed me to requisition a Nephthys-Class fighter craft for personal transport. I'm being relegated mostly to paperwork and operations overseeing until I can be given command of a ship again. Not the most exciting job in the galaxy, but at least I get to relax for once..."

"On patrol in Omicron 100 today, I encountered - of all people - a Molly intruder into Order Space. I engaged, rather carelessly, taking my fighter against a gunboat that I knew I couldnt beat. Order reinforcement fighters from Apophis assisted.
After a short skirmish, the Molly retreated from order space, claiming that he had been unaware the system belonged to the Order, and was merely 'exploring'; Fortunate for me. These Nephthys fighters, advanced as they are, are sorely lacking in powerplant supply, firepower, and shielding when going up against larger opponents. Even the numerous smuggler transports that appear in Order space are difficult, if not impossible, to deal with. I'm really beginning to miss the Pakhet's weaponry.
I've sent a message to Order Guard Command requesting a more appropriate vessel for guard and patrol duty. I somewhat doubt my request will be accepted, but I'm hopeful - a bomber would be much more efficient in dealing with intruders to Order space."

"Today was interesting, to say the least. Upon entry to omicron minor after a patrol around 100, I encountered a Phantom fighter. This Phantom seemed to think that the order and they held neutral relations... Luckily Black Squadron's Battleship, the Asar, was there to help deal with the situation. The Phantom left without a fight.
How could they ever think we are nuetral? The phantoms exist to destroy the Sirius house governments, while we exist to protect them, however much those house governments may hate us in turn?
Shortly after, I got word of an 'ex' bounty hunter who had landed on Toledo, claiming he wished to become an Order pilot. I immediately sent command to Toledo docking control to impound his ship and take it's crew into custody; The Asar overrid my command, allowing the bounty hunter to 'explain himself', and shortly after recruiting him into the ranks of the order.
I dont trust this guy one bit. Once a bounty hunter, always a bounty hunter - those honorless dogs are responsible for destroying the Pakhet and her crew, how could we ever accept one of them into our ranks? Regardless, I tried to make the best of the situation. I have toledo's repair crews tearing apart the bounty hunter's ship at the moment, figuring out how their technology works. Hopefully that ship will enlighten us, and give us some leverage over the hunters in combat."

"Paperwork, Comm calls, more paperwork, errands to run, more comm calls... this is madness! I'm an Order Guard Commander, not a damned desktop secretary! Guard Command has me filing reports on every patrol, repair, fleet movement, engagement, and construction project going on in Order space, and now they're having me deal with new recruits as well? This is just too much.
After dealing with resource allocations between Mora station and Evora Shipyard, and being pestered by this science expeditionary group that wants to go nomad hunting, I had to spend several hours in flight tonight helping a new recruit get situated. At least he seemed to know most of his basic flight combat skills, I grow tired of saving the rookies from mistakes a child could avoid. Anyhow, this recruit seems fairly talented - but confused at the same time. He doesnt seem to know what he wants, and doesnt seem to understand our chain of command here very well. For some reason he insists on commanding a gunboat, but doesnt want to have to go through officer training academy in order to get it. *sigh*... he'll get it beaten into his head by the flight instructors tomorrow.
My request for a more appropriate vessel was answered by Commodore Forrester today. I dropped off the Nephthys at Evora Shipyard and picked up one of the newer talon prototype fighters. She's a bit sluggish in handling and seems to have some power capacity issues, but the ship is a technical marvel. Sensor jammers and comm scramblers allow it to mask it's presence outside of visual range for stealth reconaissance operations, and from the ship files it would appear the Talons are being used to test this technology for application on larger ships, particularly the new Light Carriers being designed for extended operations in hostile space. Conveniently, the Comm scramblers allow me to block incoming transmissions from all the rookies that have been pestering me with chit chat lately."

"Went out on patrol with the rookie today to check through Omicron Unknown and the Dyson sphere, and afterwards went on a solo patrol through omicron 99 and iota to monitor nomad movements. The stealth systems on this Talon are amazing, I had no problems staying out of visual range of the plethora of nomad battleship groups in Iota.
I found two unlucky individuals who had been killed by the nomads in that part of space, and managed to salvage some of their sensor logs, communications data, and weapons for return to Order Researchers.
It would seem that the Wrath of Furia, an Order Osiris-class battleship, has been operating in conjunction with a bounty hunter battleship recently. It's captain doesnt seem to believe this is a problem, but I'm requesting personnel surveillance be dispatched to the Furia to ensure that it isnt a threat to Order Security.
We encountered three Keepers in Omicron Delta today, all of them bomber-class organisms. I was forced to flee the engagement due to being severely outnumbered and outgunned, I do not know what became of the Furia as it stayed behind to fight and ensure my escape. It likely managed to escape as well, but I wont know until it gets back into Order space. The Keepers are becoming increasingly aggressive as of late, and with so many of our forces having to deal with the bounty hunter plague in the omicrons, we're finding ourselves unable to fight them off. Evora needs to speed up production on our newer warships if we're to survive much longer against the nomad onslaught."

"This treaty between Liberty and The Order is causing no end of trouble. Several personnel on both sides seem to be misreading the specifics, as we've had to kick Liberty fighters and warships out of Omicron Minor constantly and several Order captains have caused incidents within Liberty space when they shouldnt have been there in the first place. *sigh* Why cant people just follow orders?"
"Regardless, I've got too much on my plate already to deal with them, I'll leave the rest up to High Command. I've been commissioned with putting together a training manual for new Order recruits as a supplementary to standard training courses, to better prepare new recruits for their duties as an Order pilot. It's taken most of my time for the past few days, and I've been unable to record personal logs because of the work; to explain the gap in files. Thankfully, it's almost finished now, I've been up nearly 48 hours straight, I could use a decent night's sleep. Speaking of which..."

"I've been working with the engineers at Evora for the past few days, helping with the design of the new-age warships being developed for The Order's fleets. During my service aboard the Zoner Destroyer Pakhet, I developed a feel for the layout of zoner vessels, and High Command feels that it would be more efficient to use a Zoner design for ship layout in our own warships. Comparatively, Zoner vessels use available interior space much more efficiently than the Osirises we've been building - Liberty ships are designed to look good, but arent the easiest things to get around in a hurry."
"So far, the vessel design teams are doing an excellent job, and Evora should begin production of the new Light Carriers and Recon Cruisers in less than a month if things go according to schedule. They've put me on the head design team for the Light Carrier as a command advisor, in order to help figure the best possible layout for efficient crew movement. I look forward to commanding one of these magnificent vessels once they roll off the production lines."
"We've had increasing nomad activity in Omicron Minor and Delta lately, with no apparent reason why. If things continue as they are, the Nomads may soon have regrown to the point of moving against Sirius once more. Hopefully this time around the war wont be as bloody; now we know how they fight, and we know how to kill them - information we lacked during the first war."
"Officer's Note: There have been several incidents of insubordination from new recruits in recent weeks. Perhaps it's time to start looking more closely into who we recruit."

"All of this political bull is starting to give me a headache. We had three Order Captains with Osiris Battleships, escorted by two confirmed Order Fighter Pilots, invade new york today and wreak havoc on the local populace, killing an unaccounted for number of civilians in the crossfire while engaging liberty forces in close proximity to stations and planets within the system. This is getting out of hand, what are they teaching recruits these days? We're supposed to be protecting humanity, not wiping it out for mere vengeance against a few intrusions to our space from the navy and LSF. If things continue as they are, all of Sirius will have us declared terrorists, we wont be able to work with anyone."
"I've put in a request to speak with the Admirals, hopefully we can get this resolved. There have been far too many Order personnel ignoring our diplomatic relations and attacking people they shouldnt be lately. I've tried sending apologies to the Liberty Government for the actions of these rogue personnel, but all they seem to think about is striking us back. More death, for nothing - when is it going to end?"
"I dont think I'm cut out for this desk job at all. How am I supposed to stop insubordinate captains from acting like this when my only weapon is a damned pencil? I need a ship, I need a Command... it seems the only words that are listened to in Sirius today are those spoken from the barrel of a gun."

"Had to chase down someone trying to sneak into Omicron 100 today. I have no idea how he did it, but this 'junker' had gotten ahold of one of our Talon-Class fighters and made it past our defenses in both minor and 100. The Legacy assisted me in destroying the intruder; unfortunately we were not able to capture him in order to find out how he had gotten so far before being detected."
"We also had an outcast defect to The Order today. Amazingly enough, she isnt addicted to cardamine, and wished to join after being exiled from outcast space for retaliating against nomads who were responsible for the deaths of her parents. Well, we accept recruits from all other walks of life, why not them... she seems to hassle a bit with rules and authority but I think she'll make a fine addition to the order's squadrons, especially if we can get her flying a bomber."
"During an engagement with overwhelming numbers of Bounty Hunters in Omicron Minor today, my Talon fighter was crippled and I was forced to eject. Order rescue teams retrieved my escape pod, but I'm back to flying a Nephthys for now; and High Command is fussing up a storm about me going on the front lines and being too valuable to lose. I guess my vendetta against the Hunters is a bit reckless... I'm still convinced that every one of them deserves to die for what they did to my captain and crew. Regardless, Command has asked that I remain off the front lines whenever possible until they get me a new ship."

"High Command had me lead an Order strike group into the sigma systems today to assist the GMG with wild attacks in the area. We only took an Osiris and a single wing of nephthys fighters for the task. Upon entrance to Sigma 13, we encountered and engaged a Phantom ship that was harassing GMG forces in the area. It would appear that the C'tan are taking a more active interest in Sirius space, sending the phantoms deep into house territory for recon and attacks against government leaders. Unfortunately, the nomads and keepers are no less aggressive lately, and we still have the bounty hunters, wild, and liberty navy to deal with; I'm not sure The Order will be able to survive trying to fight on four fronts by itself."
"The Phantom eventually ran from us, outnumbered and outgunned. We chose not to follow, as his escape lead through dragon space. Soon after, we jumped through to New Berlin to investigate reports of two wild craft in the area, while our Osiris stayed behind in Sigma 13. Sure enough, there were two wild ships in new berlin near the Sigma 13 jump hole, we werent able to get accurate scans due to interference from the asteroid field, but I believe they were flying bombers. After we initially picked them up on scanners, several more wild fighters de-cloaked at close range; we chose to retreat through the Sigma 13 jump hole where we could fight on more even ground, but the wild forces did not follow. After several minutes, we returned to New Berlin and were unable to detect the wild ships anywhere in Rheinland Space."
"I'm going to submit reports to High Command on this matter, we need to expand more of our forces into the omega systems to deal with the wild threat, and we need to start sending scouts further up into the Omicrons to try and gain intel on the Phantoms. We dont know enough about them right now to fight a full war against them."
