Just out of random curiousity, how do the Gaians feel about and react to the Nomads?

Yes, I know the two rarely cross paths, but surely the Gaians are aware of the Nomads existance and have some empathy toward them. Question is, is this positive or negative?

How do Gaians feel about Human agression toward Nomads, and vice versa.

How do Gaians feel about Humanity overruning the Nomads apparent intended 'home'?

Given, I rarely encounter Gaians with any of my RP characters, and have only a basic understanding of their background. But it could make for an 'intresting' discussion.

All that begins must end.

Marburg is the person to answer, he has some RP going on it, but to paraphrase him, he seems to think a Gaian would be fascinated by nomads, and want to learn about them and place them among the other lifeforms in Sirius.

Well you could consider what would happen to a gaian who walked past a man eating plant. Same thing I presume.

Been here since Discovery 4.77 (lurk mode engaged)

Zapp Wrote:I have recently met and discussed with Atalawohisdi the trader that flies the Caribe. Just so everyone knows, I engaged in Sigma 13. He flies through half the system before going back to New Berlin, where he cruises from one side of the system to the other, hugging the sun as close as he can. All the while, he flies near Battleships trying to scrape me off. I finally send out the white flag, and move back to Sigma 13. However, it was a ruse, and he bit. Knowing his trade route, I interdicted the trade lane and the chase began anew. It ended, an hour after it began, with me retreating, out of Countermeasures and getting very irritated.

He kept boasting how he has never been caught; I'd like to see him beat until he begs to pay, then beaten some more.

- Best day ever. Cool

Wow check me out being all flattered that anyone would consider me a 'go to guy' about this:$

Anyway, I'm no authority on Nomads, but speaking from the mind of my character, I'll say this:

Nomads- I hate 'em cause I fear 'em...& I fear 'em cause I don't understand 'em. But, I DO understand that they share a symbiosis with us humans within the grand scheme of the Universe.

I ain't a genius, but I can figure out by knowin' the little I know of 'em that they have an advantage we don't...& THAT is what scares me.

Since Nomads have a connection with Nature that both facinates me & makes me drop biscuits in my britches, I went & took it on myself ta get in touch with some people I know in the Order & got ahold of some of their adapted biotech.

my goal ain't to co-exist...I don't have the kind of lifespan to see that kind of thing through...but what I can do, is my humble little part ta try & help the Gaians take the first steps to learn how the jellyfish grow their technology.

Even if it kills me

Marburg is definitely the guy on the matter, but I can see some reasons why they'd not like them.

First, the whole trying to kill them thing. Second, the Outcasts seem to like them, and the Gaians aren't too friendly with the Outcasts. Certainly would put things atleast on the downside of neutral.

But mainly, they're cavorting with these dyson sphere building types. That could be seen as a sort of terraforming on a giant scale - changing the whole solar system to suit life.
