Today while leaving Huston orbit with a load of Food and Water I was violently attacked by a vessel called SFMC|Scylla after he decided to "play cop" and stop me for my Synth Weed; which is prescribed to me by my Cryer Representative. After coming to a stop I tried to explain to the playing Freelancer that I have a prescription and be on my way, but then he just opened fire on me!
Luckly I manged to get back to Huston with only a little damage, but I demand repayment for said damages! Otherwise I wish to press charges for assault, I refuse to let Freelancer Bullies run around Liberty pretending to be cops, what is the purpose of LPI if they let these thugs run around hassling honest traders.
I have attached a report showing the events and showing the cost of the damages, which I have also broken down below.
I am more than happy for the good people of the LPI to investigate this "complaint" and to pay restitution if they deem it to be appropriate.
I would however like to draw attention to my report to the LPI about the aforementioned encounter: Criminal Registry Report
As far as I have been made aware, the Laws of Liberty do not allow for the possession of synthetic marijuana by any private individuals for medical, or other, purposes. If I have my facts wrong, again I am more than happy to make amends for my actions. Opening fire upon this vessel was only resorted to upon its attempt to escape with its illegal cargo.
If I can offer any further assistance in regards to this here matter please do give me a holler.
I read over the report you submitted, and I am shocked to see how you skewed the events to make it seem as if I was running from you, and yet I was doing nothing more than peaceably trying to explain my condition to you when you opened fire on me for no reason while I was sitting still. You aren't LPI you shouldn't be trying to strong arm traders.
I would also like to point out to you that beside opening fire on a non moving ship, you also opened fire over two, yes, TWO units of synth weed, I'm sure you are proud to call in this "major" drug bust. Tell you what, go visit Denver some time and bust the Cryer ship there that's distributing it, since you wanna play cop so bad. Oh, and if you were trying to confiscate it to smoke yourself, go get a doctors note like the rest of us.
I have been made aware of your complaint against my pilot.
Having read your complaint and seen the report submitted by Mr Ryder, I am happy that my pilot has acted in good faith and within the bounds of the law.
Your cowardly and disgusting attempt to turn your wrongdoing into a smear upon my employee's character is a pathetic farce, one which I will personally take an interest in from this point onwards.
Aside from this, you have told a blatant lie to the Liberty Police, unsubstantiated by evidence, that my pilot attacked you whilst you were cooperating with his lawful stop and destruction of your contraband cargo. I am sure you are aware that this is a serious crime in itself.
I also note that Mr Ryder refrained from noting that you opened fire upon his vessel in his report, an action that I personally think was too forgiving of him.
If you wish to make an apology to Mr Ryder, he is available on this neural net account.
Yours sincerely,
Fabius Libertus, SFMC|Starswine

I'm sure LPI will find it interesting that the story surrounding this incident changes every time your company tells it. I would look into Mr.Ryder's conduct if I were you, especially given how the story he has told you is vastly different from the one he told LPI, which is markedly different from the assault he committed on me and my vessel a few hours ago.
Regardless I recommend that we both wait until LPI responds before digging yourself a deeper hole.
I am more than happy to wait upon a response from the LPI, and just to note, I see no discrepancy between Mr Ryder's report to the LPI and the one provided to myself.
I have had the pleasure to have Mr Ryder as chief engineer upon my ship for a long time and his exemplary conduct (despite a bit of Texan "cowboy" roughness in regard to his social etiquette) is the very reason I put him in charge of the Scylla.
If you wish me to conduct an investigation into the actions of one of my most trusted employees you will need to provide more than unsubstantiated conjecture which, may I add, seems to be merely an attempt to draw attention away from your illegal actions.
As far as I am concerned you are a blight upon the name of "trader", and am sure that the LPI will draw the correct conclusion from your underhand attempt to distort the workings of the Liberty legal system.
Good luck to you with your endeavor, however transparent your poor intentions may be.
Yours sincerely,

I have read over all reports of all parties involved. First off Synthetic marijuana is a contraband commodity even in small amounts. However if it is the case you have a "legitimate" prescription from an "authorized" Cryer Pharmaceuticals representative then please send evidence of this prescription to Liberty Police Incorporated immediately. Otherwise you will be considered a smuggler when you have contraband on board.
Now as far as the legality of the stop. Gaff Kingston Ryder, Callsign: [SFMC|Scylla] is an authorized contractor for the Republic of Liberty and as such he has the authority to stop ships breaking the laws of Liberty. However I am disappointed in how quickly you turned violent against this trader. It was not a appropriate response for such a small amount of contraband. We expect more from our contractors then this.
Our investigation has shown both parties to be at fault in this incident and as such no restitution will be required from either party. I consider this matter closed
Safe Skies,

I am sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the conduct of one of my employees, you have my apologies and those of Mr Ryder.
I believe my pilot acted in good faith and within the bounds of the law by firing upon a fleeing criminal, whatever the charge. I will however have words with Mr Ryder to the effect that he make greater efforts to resolve this sort of situation through diplomatic means in future.
