So, GMG has a 4x Kishiro and Kruger have a 2x and Samura has a 3x under this assumption each faction (theoretically) would have the following rates:
GMG
Okinawa: 6 ore/mining laser ( Kamome as two) ~12
Sigma 13: 4 ore/mining laser ( Kamome as two) ~8
Sigma 19: 6 ore/mining laser ( Kamome as two) ~12
Hokkaido: 6 ore/mining laser ( Kamome as two) ~12
Kishiro:
Okinawa: 3 ore/mining laser ( Kamome as two) ~6
Sigma 13: 2 ore/mining laser ( Kamome as two) ~4
Sigma 19: 3 ore/mining laser ( Kamome as two) ~6
Hokkaido: 3 ore/mining laser ( Kamome as two) ~6
Samura:
Okinawa: 4.5 ore/mining laser ( Kamome as two) ~9
Sigma 13: 3 ore/mining laser ( Kamome as two) ~6
Sigma 19: 4.5 ore/mining laser ( Kamome as two) ~9
Hokkaido: 4.5 ore/mining laser ( Kamome as two) ~9
Kruger:
Okinawa: 3 ore/mining laser ( Behemoth as four) ~12
Sigma 13: 2 ore/mining laser ( Behemoth as four) ~8
Sigma 19: 3 ore/mining laser ( Behemoth as four) ~12
Hokkaido: 3 ore/mining laser ( Behemoth as four) ~12
GMG and Kruger excel at He3 mining and while I agree that it makes sense Inrp but the problem is the rates are not nearly as good as other mining rates. Could it be buffed at all? Maybe the drop rates. I feel this could be useful for discussion.
*all rates are based on client side files as well as rough mathematical calculations as well as based on the assumption you are using the max forward mining turrets
What about we raised Kruger's drop in Okinawa? They have to fly over the practical enemy territory and are likely to shot on sight by GMG, if found with Helium-3.
As you can see... Kruger has almost same drop rate with 4 lasers. Making it even better for KRUGER might kill GMG completely + GMG has only one mineable ORE and Kruger can mine at least 2 of them.
I beg to differ on the matter. Kruger have plenty of mining in the omegas, He-3 mining is supposed to be something they can do, but far less prioritized.
If anything, I would like to know as to why exactly Kishiro mining was nerfed? It used to be 3.0 bonus as well. This is again a nerf to Kishiro against a seriously overly buffed Samura. This is basically killing the faction, slowly, as they have less and less viable sources of activity.
The bonuses are really that dependent on number of mining turrets?
I always thought that there's small chance to get twice amount of ore when you're hitting rock with 2 lasers at once. And nearly zero chance for 4 lasers.

It scales almost perfectly.
The easiest way to test is to use a small mining ship with good hardpoint positions. Like the Surveyor with its 5 slots.
It's much harder to accomplish with a Hegemon and the likes, as hitting the rocks with all lasers at once isn't easy with a large ship.
The H3 mining system looks like it roughly follows the original plan layout which loosely orbited a concept of primary and secondary mining resources.
When approaching the issue from a perspective of cursed roleplay it's generally acquiesced that some companies handle multiple "ores". However you end up with an issue of over saturation of bonus' based on some infocards that don't really give a toss about the idea of player flow and regional population balances. So to balance that out you give the IMG a 'normal' mining bonus for the ore types that are primarily represented in their backyard and a reduced bonus for ores that they technically have access to but are in someone elses backyard in favor of the group that uses that mineral as their primary.
An example of this would be IMG having a reduced gold drop rate, as opposed to BMM, in order to recognize IMG/Molly risk/reward and the importance of making sure that the BMM remains viable.
Another obvious example would be what you see in the OP. The good rock busters with Kruger have a ton of good stuff to snatch up in their own backyards that is intended to give the locals something to worry about, leaving the GMG to do the same in their own backyard. Ideally there would be a nod to some kind of hopped up RP nonsense that enables some kind of drop bonus out of recognition for the fictional backdrop, but it should pale in comparison to that of the locals.
I don't know how much of this remains true. Given the nature of discover and the general theme of responsibility in the development team when I walked off I can only assume that certain faction values are all over the place and likely crafted to be hilariously self serving.

Theoretical values are worth nothing.
Do the following:
> shoot 10 rocks. Note value. Jettison. Shoot 10 rocks. Note value. Jettison.
> Do it with: 1 laser only.
> Do it then with: maxxed mining outfit.
> Do a few runs of 10 with open trade window to check whether you hit "0" often.
How about instead of using the Kamome with like 2 adjacent turrets that are useful for mining you use the GMG freighter that can have 4(?) adjacent mining turrets. There you go, problem solved. Kamome = GMG Hegemon, ofc it isn't going to be good for mining.
Also another thing, it doesn't quite double the drop rate when you have more lasers.
I will make a GMG freighter and post back the results here for you.
