Greetings AFC I have review your race wars and found them pretty great so I would like to talk to you about upping it. So I see you race back an forth in small area and have many rounds but that is great for beginner's. If you want to go pro racing try interstellar racing system to system. Yes that's right many systems one big race now this race would be dangerous and long you may have to have checkpoint zones for refuel and rearm to survive the race but it would be worth it for those looking for a challenge. Anyways I will get this channel open so we can hear your ideas on this.

Anyway... Thank you for your feedback and the idea is quite interesting. We have been getting quite a few of those typoes of ideas in the past actually.
My only issue with this idea is the use of trade lanes and jump gates / jump holes.... but moselty the lanes.
As you may know, if you drop a mine before entering a lane you can disrupt it and therefore the racers at the back will not be able to catch up to you ever. This would just lead to an automatic win unless the lanes ahead go pop for one reason or another. If a route was made without lanes... then i guess it can work although it would take too long most of the time.
And there will be points where light fighters will just outrun one another and the rest of the races are just playing catchup.
BUT there have been good attempts at this idea. The [TAZ] have held a race where they jumped everyone to a random location and they had to find their way back for instance and pick their own route on the go. I still in that race used the kill lanes trick and yeah... it worked well for that situation for me.....
The issue is the balance to make sure that you can have the possibility to catch up potentially.
Anyway I would like to hear your thoughts.

I hear what your saying about the lane and different ship classes well theres a way around that. For the lanes make it a rule no use of lanes for some races, now for different ship classes make races use only one type of ship class and you can also make races with different ship classes. Best for long races with no lanes is the use of light fighters an using jumpholes instead of gates. Also another idea is you can have more then one route for racers to choose from like a race with 3 routes they can take to make it interesting. Hope to hear your ideas on this.

Hey,
What I was thinking more or less would be maybe to not allow mines or guns.
This would mean you can take the lanes but there is no way to really do damage on them yourself.
The 3 route thing is cool... but there is always the fastest way to get somewhere.
I would rather have it so that the route would be announced at the race time but it would be a far distance do there is more than one way to get down to the finish line.
There were also suggestions from other people to have a sort of smuggling/trading race done too on freighters using the same concept but like a scavenger hunt.
The point being... some things would have to be not allowed in terms of ship set-up in order for the race to be fair. ... becasue it is too hard to monitor if someone used a lane or not in that large span of a race.
