As you might already know, rumors are spreading about these Cultists staging attacks all over Sirius. In order to detect and deter them, I joined up with Premier Selim on the CPW Lithuania to make a system-wide scan of New Moscow.
As we reached Mykolaiv, the space around the station was breached by Cult bomber drones, which were disposed of quickly. However, soon after those appeared, multiple contacts appeared - a full raiding fleet of Cultists! We did also detect their staging depot, a small way from Mykolaiv itself - which was promptly destroyed without hesitation. We managed to recall to New Moscow all the ships in service in order to counter this threat. I managed to identify several signatures, listed below:
- Bomber drones: packing multiple antimatter cannons, they resemble the common Roc civilian bomber seen everywhere in Sirius. Easy to deal with with fighters.
- Heavy drones: equipped with multiple 'Manticore' Cult beam cannons, these are a danger to snubcraft dur to the cannons' long range and high refire. Heavy assets required.
- Support gunboat: Resembling the common Condor civilian gunboat, these are even more deadlier than heavy drones. Heavy assets strongly required.
- Drone Carrier: the height of Cult dangerousness, these ships resembling the Bustard civilian carriers are extremely armed and dangerous. Capital heavy assets with long-range weaponry is required in order to not enter range of its long-range beam turrets.
As an added note, all Cultist ships are heavily armored, so much that even bomber drones can withstand the heavy firepower of a Typhoon destroyer. We should make our R&D research some of the remains - perhaps we can discover what makes them so resilient. Back to the battle - in the end we managed to obliterate all ships, with the help of our SCEC comrades and of all the comrades that rose to fight. Yet, many brave comrades facing them were killed in action (//NPCs) - we honoured their sacrifices as the highest form of service to the Motherland. Premier Selim, from the CPW Lenin he took command of, allowed me to transfer the spoils we obtained to TOR-TWO - it is the only image I managed to save from my camera as the rest have all been lost.
