Konnichiwa gentlemen. I am Nagate Tanaka, head of the Paramilitary Division of the Gas Miner's guild. The reason I am contacting you is to inform you of an event that appears it may be of concern to you.

We understand that Rochester base in New York has a "No fire zone" correct? Well, a Helium 3 convoy from Okinawa came to New York today, and was accosted by pirates. The escorts, myself included pursued the assailants until they fled to Rochester base. Being somewhat aware of this "No fire zone" we respected it and were about to retreat and rejoin the convoy... But then an outcast gunship undocked, and both the pirate (Whose comm ID was "Toast") and the gunship opened fire and attempted to prevent us from leaving. My ship sustained heavy damage, however the convoy reached its destination successfully.

Seeing that we sustained no significant losses, and that we have adequate insurance policies to replace a damaged fighter we expect no compensation from your organization. We simply wish to do our civic duty and inform you of the incident which happened within your territory, as I'm sure you would return the favor should something happen within ours.

Enclosed is the evidence of the aforementioned event, should you wish to pursue the matter further with the pilots in question.
