Seeing how all the houses exept Gallia have an Intell ID, i wondered why the gauls dont have one.
You could create it similar to the BIS, MND, KPT or LSF ID:
Gallic Royal Intelligence ID Wrote:The Gallic Royal Intelligence is the intelligence branch of the Royal Navy. They specialise in sabotage and covert operations outside Gallia.
Pilot carrying this quasi-lawful ID is a member of the Gallic Royal Intelligence (GRI), the Gallic Royal Navy intelligence agency, who :
- Can demand contraband and levy fines within their Zone of Influence, and attack if ships refuse to comply.
- Can attack ships which are in violation of Gallic laws in Gallia and the Tau's only.
- Can destroy ships affiliated with enemies of Gallia within their Zone of Influence.
- Can defend allied or neutral lawful ships and bases within their Zone of Influence.
- Can attack ships which belong to a house or organisation considered hostile by Gallia outside their Zone of Influence. Can demand transports which belong to a house or -organisation considered hostile by Gallia to drop all cargo and attack if they refuse to comply.
- Can ally with unlawful factions.
- Cannot participate in unlawful actions except as described above.
- Cannot use any transports with more than 4,300 cargo.
- While using cruisers, can only attack in self-defense when outside their Zone of Influence.
Zone of Influence: Gallia, Gallic Border Systems, Tau's, Leeds.
This Galaxy is vast; its wonders and beauty are almost unfathomable. But the galaxy also hides dark secrets, some of which have lain dormant since the beginning of time itself. There is a danger in secrets, both in seeking and in knowing. Some things are meant to be hidden from view. Some mysteries defy understanding, and sometimes even the things we think we know are untrue. Some secrets should remain untouched.
I don't know why there isn't one now, but weren't the Gallic Junkers the ones, who gathered intelligence on Sirius before Gallia got "discovered"? Or rather all "Junkers" since if I recall correctly Junkers originate all from Gallia by the Gallia lore or something like that and they split up afterwards.
Might be something interesting for a Gallic Junker faction to do and also maybe to find their own niche compared to Sirian Junkers.

If that's the case the ID and faction description which are currently ingame need to be updated at some point since those still state that they collected the intel for Gallia and that the Sirian Junkers used to have Gallic Junkers in leading positions and were connected.
Other than that, seems like the rephacks got better than they used to be when I played one (or I am just imagining things - it was quite a while ago).
Anyways, right now it would actually be possible to look for business-partners/allies amongst house criminals except the Kusarian ones and to build something up from there maybe.
