I´m sending this message openly in attempt to solve little problem. To explain the situation - Shuri Base is focused on storing and selling helium-3, however after we took it over, we decided we should offer better services for all those miners and crews of trade ships which are looking for some relaxation after long workday or flight. And - of course - earn some more money this way.

One of ways how to achieve it is to improve station bar and enlarge the drink menu. And here comes the problem you could help us with - we have some difficulties to obtain rum. To be precise - it´s not hard to obtain rum in Sirius, but it´s really hard to obtain quality rum not produced by Corsairs what is very important for us for certain reasons.

However, after having some brainstormings about this issue, we reached the conclusion that there might be rum producers in Gallia, because if we understood it right, sometimes the brown sugar is used during manufacturing the wine if so called chaptalization is used. And where is brown sugar, there could be also a rum. At least we think so.

Anyway, to cut the chase - we will be interested in purchase of original rum of Gallic origin. Is there anybody to offer it?

Now lets move to the business. You mentioned that your rum is too expensive. What price are we talking about? But I will be honest with you - if your rum is worth the price, we have no problem to pay it. We will rather go with quality expensive rum with guarantee it was not made by Corsairs than something cheaper what can cause us problems with our partners from Gas Miners Guild.

Also, when we speak about price - did you mean high selling price itself or transportation price? Because if it´s the latter, we can reduce this part of price significantly by delivering by our ship. For your understanding - this company is doing minor business in Gallia for quite some time. We even managed to get license for export of restricted commodities and we also export Gallic wine to Sirius from time to time. For this reason, we have enough business contacts already in Gallia so we can send our ship with some goods there and on the way back it will bring not just wine but also your rum. All we need to know is location of the base where we can pick it up.

Last important question is related to amount of available rum. You mentioned that l´On...l´Unine...that your organization produce small quantities of rum for your own demand. I understood that this means your production capacity is kind of limited. Thus we need to know how much cargo units you can sell us now and later per every month. We need to be ready for option that customers of Shuri bar will be interested in your rum and there will be significant consumption of it and thus need to keep our supplies of it stored in enough amount. It´s important for us because we would like to create bar with reputation of place which offers literally all available drinks from whole known universe.

I thank you for your interest in our product. As I said, it is an expensive drink, both in terms of production and delivery. Typical costs put it at over 1,400 francs a standard unit, which is certainly not inexpensive. The opportunity costs for sale outside of our own market are also rather low due to the inexpensive nature of the competition we would face in the Sirian market.

However, if you truly desire to import an exceptional rum, we believe that situation can be amended to allow you to obtain it. As production is limited by costs, having an additional cash input to offset them would help us to expand production to meet additional needs. You would also be obtaining license to dock at our facility and take the product, thus lowering your own overall costs of delivery. We believe that an agreement of 20 million francs per month would be sufficient to cover production increases and the associated storage costs at our facility. If you think that a sample is in order before making this commitment then a small amount can be delivered to mutually agreeable location for exchange and evaluation. I will directly say that at this moment we can´t sign contract which would include expenses of 20 million francs per month. This is too much for our business plan, especially considering we don´t know sales. If it would turn out that there will be consumption big enough for such investments, then we can start thinking about this.

For this reason we would like to order smaller delivery instead of sample, to see how successful your rum will be, and then we can modify our contract accordingly. We are talking about amount of 300-500 cargo units. Can you deliver such amount to Okinawa? And for what price?

I understand the necessity of testing your market before committing to such a large contract. The suggested sample run at 250,000 francs would have been for 100 units of rum. We'll simply triple that cost to 750,000 francs for the minimum delivery of 300 units of rum. The account remains the same if you wish to make the wired transfer, though if you've given the appropriate instructions to your cargo master on Shuri the exchange can be handled in that fashion as well. That manner would also allow for an anytime delivery if you find that more convenient. Please let me know your intentions and we will make the appropriate arrangements.
