SUBJECT: Let's do business
Guten Tag, meine Damend und Herren!
Allow me to introduce myself; I am a Rheinländer buisnessman known simply as "Der Schakal." I believe you already met some of my friends, the Unioners, including my lovely Kapitän, Alla Siegel and her second in command, Ilza Schneider, flying the warship Alsterblut in Sigma-13.
Kapitän Siegel reported that her meeting with you was so to say, very pleasant. Your organization, the Hogosha, basically represent what we represent in Rheinland. She reported that we have mutual friends as well, the Corsair Empire, our greatest allies.
I'll be very straightforward, as I wish not to take your time: We intend to take over the Sigmas from the Outcasts and their allies and wish to divide it among us and our allies.
In order to be successful, we need to present a capable fighting force. One that matches the opposition we face in the region.
We need friends for this endeavor and I believe that we can work together.
In light of that, allow me to propose a meeting between our two leaderships. The Sigmas might be a suitable place, but I can offer you increased security on Leipheim Base, one of our outlying installations in the Munich system.

Konbanwa, "Der Schakal", and well met. I am Hebishima, of the Takarabune Conglomerate, one of the pilots your members met the other day.
We are interested in a renewed contact with the Unioners. We had some past attempts with some previous management of your organization, but time and resources did not allow for great progression. I have been instructed by my boss The Fisherman, with the consent of the esteemed Lady Black, to start the talks with you.
The elements that you mentioned are of great interest to us. We have seen your military capabilities of fielding larger than standard vessels on the field, and we are sympathetic it the goals of attaining a hold on the travel and market of Sigma sector, together with trusted partners. Not only in keeping the Outcasts far removed and the Corsairs close, but also in suppressing the more local flavor opponents to our businesses.
We would be glad to perform a meeting with your party, as you suggested. Munich might be an ideal place, although we have to take measures so that we don't get trailed by GMG, as it was in our Takarabune last attempts.
We would like to hear more about your plans, about your recent cooperation with the Corsairs, and how we at the Hogosha Association can partake in the endeavors of this axis.
Do tell me of an appropriate time and place. With the good weather, perhaps my captain may even take the helm of the negotiations, instead of this humble follower of his.
May the Fortunes provide you with bountiful wealth and vigorous health.
Hebishima, Takarabune Conglomerate.
Our meeting today has been extraordinarily fruitful, I believe. Me and my associates have very enjoyed both your presence and the gifts you gave us, meine Herren. Your visit was truly pleasant and an honor to the Unioners.
As per the request of Herr Fischermann, my 'lawyers' have formulated a contract based on the details regarding which we agreed to follow:
Quote:Starting from 822 / 06 / 22, the Hogosha Association and the Unioners enter into the brotherly bond of a friendship an alliance, incorporating the following promises regarding the two factions' collaboration.
1) The Unioners and the Hogosha agree to assist each other in the Sigmas as comrades and brothers in arms, defending the assets of each other and fighting the enemies of the two organizations actively.
Such enemies include: Outcasts, Blood Dragons, Golden Chrysanthemums, Bundschuh, The Order, Gas Miners Guild, Rheinland Law Enforcement and Corporations.
2) The Unioners and the Hogosha establish a trade alliance between each other, enabling free trade between the organizations based on the principle of demand satisfaction, the two organizations also agree to lower prices to a friendly limit.
The two organizations exempt the supply vessels of each other from extortion, taxation, piracy and assault; instead, the two organizations provide protection to each others' assets from any common foe seeking to undo the integrity of said supply vessels.
3) The Unioners and the Hogosha agree on the continued exchange of information between each others' factions.
The Unioners seek information on any trade convoys heading towards Rheinland, especially ones with a continuous schedule. The Unioners also seek information on the relations of other Rheinland actors to Kusarian groups and organizations, and their movements around Kusari space, which the Hogosha agree to provide.
The Hogosha seek information on foreign trade convoys heading towards Kusari (with Bretonia, Bowex enjoying a special highlight), as well as the movements of the Junkers, Bundschuh, LWB and Red Hessians, which the Unioners agree to provide.

For now, these will do.
As I told Herr Fischermann, if our collaboration is deemed successful... and I'm sure it will be, we intend to make our relations deeper to the point of dividing the Sigmas between ourselves and our Corsair allies and possibly exchanging spacefaring tech.
Tell me what you think about this contract, meine Herren, tell me if there is anything to amend.

Subject: Collaboration terms
Guten Abend, Der Schackal and the rest of the Unioners. I'm Tokiomi Katagawa, a representative for the Hogosha Association.
Let me first of all thank you for providing our associates of the Takarabune Conglomerate with a reception worthy of ambassadors, and for expressing your reliance on the Hogosha Association for your needs in terms of commerce and cooperation.
The agreement you presented has been distributed amongst the oyabun of the Association, and has generated a great deal of interest and planning.
There was a concern expressed by many of the leadership however, regarding one of the terms, which we would find hard to follow up upon.
It is mentioned that the Hogosha, in the combined efforts to "fighting the enemies of the two organizations actively", would be facing elements of "Rheinland Law Enforcement and Corporations". I believe that this is an oversight that was not addressed by our representatives, no?
A potential conflict with the Rheinland forces would put us in a obviously disadvantage. It would cause us, the only party amongst the three forces of the Unioner, Corsair and Hogosha with access to the legal markets of Rheinland, to lose that advantage, in exchange of gaining an enemy that, by your words, is virtually inexistent in the Sigmas.
While there are some that would gladly take up arms against the Rheinlanders should they be found to be harboring interests in the Sigma region, we believe that it's not a term that can be gladly enforced upon All of the Associates.
We would like to suggest the following:
- The Hogosha Association reserves the right of not engaging forces of the House of Rheinland in defense of the Unioner forces, should that action be against the interests of the HA
(and in return)
- The Unioners reserves the right of not engaging forces of criminal organizations of Rheinland (Red Hessians, LWB, Bundsuch and other "native" organizations) in defense of the HA forces, should that action be against the interests of the Unioners.
