Kishiro Technologies have refused to send an engineering team to Bretonia and proposed to proceed with the engine integration on one of the facilities owned by the Keiretsu.
I found it logical to first have a word with Kishiro Technologies, since the Keiretsu is manufacturing those engines and several of their subsidiaries are well known for their knowledge in spaceship engineering.
I would certainly have taken the option to rely on Hogosha to perform that task if I had good contacts within their syndicates. I'm afraid I can't say I trust these syndicates much either, especially regarding the skill of their engineers; Interestingly, Gaians seem to have quite a different opinion about them.
My request to Kishiro Technologies is certainly close to be agreed upon, but I'm not opposed to let Hogosha work on integration studies and proceed with the engine integration itself.
That is, granted Gaians request such task to Hogosha syndicates themselves, since you appear to have very good contacts within their organization while I do not.
The alternative would be to send an engineering team - perhaps even Greenlee-san himself; I'm convinced he would be delighted to - along with the newly constructed Anaconda to Kusari, so that they can assist Kishiro Technologies engineers and ensure the Keiretsu wouldn't steal your hard earned secrets.
What say you, Clarke-san?
PS : Please note I also sent a request to Omicron Supply Industries for material transfer between Bretonia and Kusari. I will link you both transmissions for clarity.
Though I see no issue with letting OSI handle the shipment. Frees up our own ships to do more productive tasks. I will obviously have someone keep an eye on the ship during transit, possibly someone who can act as a liason with the Hogosha as well. However, I'm not sure if the latter will be necssary.
We already have official channels established with the Association. I can grant you an authorisation to use them to request their support. I'm sure they will do so gladly, requiring only a small favour in return.
You never mentioned asking Kishiro Technologies some help would be such an unacceptable move. I can understand your reasons though.
But hell, Clarke-san.
Not exactly helpful, are you. It almost sounds like you're just too lazy to handle these talks with Hogoshans... Too much work as of late? Unless you met somebody recently monopolizing all your time..?
But fine, I will sort it out myself. Already took steps to have the ship moved to Tottori system. I will probably move to Kusari at the same time, so if you want to send someone to watch over the engine integration process, let me know.
I also have to inform you I may be in trouble regarding Kusari authorities... My sabbatical ended over a month ago, and I had the unpleasant surprise to find a summoning order for active duty reintegration. Guess the Republic is really in need of veterans right now, with this civil war. No matter, I'm late. Horribly late. The message was mentioning the Naval secret police, which is never good.
That's why I will probably try to keep a low profile in Kusari, and perhaps even not leave Tottori system. I have a few people to see back home, though...
We shall see how things go.
This entire engine replacement is a whim of yours. Needless, if you ask me. But since you're keen on having it, we're leaving it up to you to handle it. There's nothing the Hogosha doesn't know about Anaconda's internals, so if you don't need a liason we will not be sending anyone to watch over the process. Unless you feel like you need some company.
As for your issues with authorities, handle them as you will. As long as it will not be a headache for us I'm not the one to tell you what to do about it.
Give us a call if you'll need a lift back to Bretonia.
It would appear that the forces of the Crown are desperate enough to request our aid. Taking into consideration how essential it is for us to have Bretonia survive, we decided to agree. It is from this point onwards that all combat operations against the forces of Bretonia are coming to a stop. Your assigned commanders will brief you on your new assignments in the coming days. Those that are not manning essential patrol routes should expect a redeploy further north.
Our very existance might depend on the result of this conflict. Keep that in mind and do your best.
That shift in your priorities is acknowledged.
I really wonder what Corsario Empire will think of this though. I very much doubt they would be so kind as to cease hostilities with House Bretonia, hm?
No matter, operations against Gallic Royal Navy began. I personally headed to Leeds system this morning with an Anaconda to gather some Intel about Royal Navy deployments in the system. I found one of those annoying pliers super heavy fighters along the way. That was quite a pain to duel but I made the girl retreat to a battleship in the hiding in East Leeds Smog Cloud.
That girl was quite suicidal though and then attempted to destroy me using Nova torpedoes. I shot the ship until it was sparking nice little flames all over, and let her go.
Guess that will be good enough for a message to Gallic Royal Navy?
Encountered Colonial Remnants by Yuma, Coronado system.
Oddly, they didn't seem to be eager for a fight, which was rather disappointing.
Had this strange little conversation however. Do what you will with it. =CR=FV-Olympia|01: Xander: We do not seek aggression this time. Unless you choose to initiate. GG-Asagao: Why is that? Why did you even attack, last time?
=CR=FV-Olympia|01: Xander: I expected your Corsair friends would inform that we wish to improve relations. GG-Asagao: Oh that's nice. But Corsairs are Corsairs. And Gaians are Gaians...?
=CR=FV-Olympia|01: Xander: I am in no position to initiate diplomacy of course. However let's say they are thinking that we can find a middle way. GG-Asagao: What caused this so sudden change? Weren't you happy to shoot people like me in the past?
=CR=FV-Olympia|01: Xander: Last time it was you who initiated aggression with the reason that we were "burning the heart" of Yuma. However, i must inform you that we are not harming the ecosystem of the planet at all. GG-Asagao: Oh well. I'm not really into all that 'save the nature' thing, to be frank. I'm like... More the mercenary kind, you see?
=CR=FV-Olympia|01: Xander: I see... So you work for whoever pays you more. GG-Asagao: Money is one factor, yes.
=CR=FV-Olympia|01: Xander: Inform your superiors about what i said. There may be a chance of official diplomatic channels perhaps. GG-Asagao: Hai hai... I will pass the word... Oh. So Yuma is that. I see. Your last refuge after all that beating you took in Tau 44?
=CR=FV-Olympia|01: Xander: We retook Tau-44 as of this moment. GG-Asagao: You did? That's nice.
=CR=FV-Olympia|01: Xander: Yes, we did. Not as an official statement however i think your organization can turn to be... useful to our cause... against Gauls GG-Asagao: Does that mean you intend to use Gaians as pawns? That's not very nice.
=CR=FV-Olympia|01: Xander: It's not like that. Its more like you could prove quite resourceful with certain things. GG-Asagao: Like..?
=CR=FV-Olympia|01: Xander: That is for your superiors.
After that, I moved to California system to assess the situation there and the area potential for future operations. Had some fun with a Liberty Navy missile gunboat and a pilot named Armada. I was very nice though.
I incidentally was also able to take a few nice pictures for my portfolio.
Needless to say California system might be quite fun to visit in a close future.
I'd like to request a Chameleon to participate to some sort of event thing in Tau 44, wherever that is.
Be nice and have it ready for me tomorrow with luxury pillows in the cockpit, please?
I am here to report a Bretonian Armed Forces soldier breaking a cease-fire agreement we have signed with the Bretonian government. After the assistance I have provided to Bretonian officers in repelling a Cult of Technology incursion in Poole, this cheeky bastard has decided to back stab me for no apparent reason. The Auxesian pilots have joined him shortly, but that's another story.
Late yesterday Flora, Michael and I saw an opportunity to move some of our stock on Crete to our buyers in Kusari. The Sequoia and Flora handled the pick up while I aboard Kabukicho lined up the buyers. Our friends in the Unioners provided additional support, sending Mary Dross of the repurposed liner Graf Zeppelin, and Derek Lutz of the Falkensee. The commute to Kusari went so smoothly I had more than enough time for a quick fire power dreadsquat sesh. And I tell ya, the afterburn in my thighs would made a scorcher bomb feel like a water pistol. At this point I commandeered Buckthorn moored at Kabukicho and joined the flotilla. We attracted some attention from a Kusari official who was handled aptly by Flora while the convoy loaded with kyushu rice. From here we were to take the cargo to Bering to resupply our Unioner allies.
An associate from the Hogosha Alliance captaining the Fisherman joined our party at Tokyo and accompanied us for the remainder of our journey. The way to Bering was a pain in the arse but aside from a few scratches and the smell of Derek's underpants we arrived all the same. Flora, Miya, Mark and our Unioner associates then put in at Freeport 2 for some R&R. Michael, myself and our Hogosha associate then sought out a Unioner scrapper in the field who was keen to provide us with some quality military salvage. The voyage to Tripoli was as harcore as 50 300k superflex bicep curls on leg day. But then that's Rheinland for you.
All in all the clients on New Tokyo are happy, the Unioners are happy, the Hogosha is happy and i'm bloody well happy with my new Kusari Rice concentrated uber protein mix.
