Now nearly a decade at war, the Bretonian people have grown weary and tired. The Bretonian Government needed to make a breakthrough, they needed to take control of the war. If they didn’t then they would risk losing it all. The Liberty Navy had taken a beating, meaning more pressure was on the Armed Forces again. This called for a new Task Force, with a goal to beat back the Gallic threat in Magellan, primarily. Initiated in 822 A.S, the Armed Forces assigned Joe Atkinson to run and execute it's orders. Joe Atkinson, a former Admiral in the Secondary Fleet, a man from Suffolk Island on Planet New London was part of the Battle of Leeds two years prior to his transfer to the Task Force. This was one of the reasons why he was seen fit for the job amongst his other traits such as: Passion, Patriotism and having a great deal of respect for the men and women serving under him. He seemed the perfect candidate for the job.
The Task Force is run from the H.M.S Caledonia, a state of the art warship which is able to dish out immense firepower and act as a FoB for the rest of the Task Force. Supporting the Caledonia is the Sentinel, a 'Crecy' Class Destroyer. The Sentinel is a feared vessel amongst it's enemies, it's 4 years in service has seen it fly in over 3 major battles and hundreds of smaller skirmishes which resulted in major enemy losses added up. The Task Force is primarily made up of "snub" craft which are based in space ports on Planet New London. The largest wing in Task Force Ascendance is "Rainbow" Wing.
The Task Force is in it's early months and has yet to see much action, but with the growing assaults from the Royal Navy - they are soon to prove their worth up against the main Fleets in the Armed Forces.

Divisions of the Task Force:
Rainbow Wing
Rainbow Wing is the Task Force’s elite fighter squadron. Formed in the early months of the Task Force, the Wing has since developed from a scout and recon tasked group to a more combat related role. There is no set vessel for the pilots to fly, but their more preferable fighter ship - not only from Bretonia but Liberty and the BHG. It is the largest Wing in the entire Task Force boasting over 200 pilots and 50 in reserve locations.
Formed from former S.I.S members, elites in both land and space, the squadron operates both on the front lines and behind the enemy lines, operating the 'Hussar' class light fighters, as well as multiple other granted light fighters to the squadron. Their main purpose is to intercept and pursue enemy vessels, and shoot them down swiftly.
