Sorry, there's a change we did earlier today that most likely caused you to be unable to be registered for any event. Previously, we were grabbing and storing the currently mounted ID when you entered a base (and logged on a base) but it was causing problems with the combat events at the time and we moved that registration on the moment you entered space.
If you were already docked on suffolk then this is what probably caused it as you were not initialized with any ID. It will be fixed tomorrow.

Okay. Just checked with another member. Seems something else is at play here.
Another player just did the same run in their Dunkirk and had no problems (just for clarity)
To explain. My serenity (The BAF|MN-Cornflake) was docked on New London. I logged it, flew over to Manchester to store some cargo on one of our armoury type ships, then flew back to Suffolk. Grabbed a load of Marines, then set out. By the time I reached Manchester again, I realised I'd missed the serenity when changing my ID's to the official one, so stopped off at Winchester and got one of our guys to give me an ID. From there I continued on to San Diego. I'm assuming it's registering the undock from Winchester and saying "You're not meeting requirements", thus ignoring me, and no bonus?
The event is awesome.
It created what we have been lacking a lot: Points where you can actually log and be in the middle of it immediately. Activity hubs.

+ 1
It was really rejuvenating to log in and dive directly in the event. That was something disco really needed. I've managed to get a kill and was paid instantly on top of the cargo delivery which was also paid.
All this is similar to other MMORPG where participating in something is rewarded and you see it being by progress (on forum - event info) or by in game reward.
"You receive a bonus of 5000000 credits and contributed 5 points." - Kill was not so important nor the money for me but the words "and contributed..." were representation that a player does something of importance to the event as a whole instead of mindless killing. And to know that if you fall you will give others "points" to progress is also forcing you to be careful with engagements.
