This is Captain Nagasawa of the GMG-Okinawa. I am delivering a message to all GMG Vessels..... at gun point.
The Liberty Rogues demand that all GMG Vessels stop exporting slaves from Liberty space. Otherwise they will stop all GMG tagged Vessels and force them to hand over their cargo. Failure to comply with these demands will result in the destruction of all GMG tagged vessels not only in Liberty but its bordering systems.
Fred simply grinned to himself as he glanced down at the ship before him. The poor GMG transport had no way of escaping him, their hull not even having any sort of advanced reinforcement, filled with Helium 3. Oh yes, Helium 3, the one trade the GMG valued so much.
"Good work. For your sake, I hope someone replies to that transmission." he continued, watching the ship engage its engines once more, leaving unharmed. Perhaps - for the last time. It was time to do something about the GMG export on slaves, something the rest of Rogues felt quite a bit. All they needed was a bit of a nudge and remind them that profits are a mutual thing.
Project shelved. Refer to this thread for further details.
The safety of all Guild members and property is of great concern. Please return to Guild space as quickly as possible so yourself and your ship can be checked over to ensure that no harm has come to either of you. We can speak further in private once you are at an appropriate location.
Mr. Fred,
Despite the...methods you have employed to send your message, I do not have a death on my hands. That is appreciated.
However, it is clear there is a misunderstanding at work here. The Guild is not complicit in any form of slavery, and opposes the slave trade; the transport of slaves in Guild space is absolutely prohibited. You may be confused with the lawful transport of displaced peoples and refugees who have fled areas such as the Gallic front lines to Planet Pittsburgh, in a deal made with the Republic of Liberty. These people may only be transported in appropriate ships with appropriate supplies, on, importantly, a voluntary basis. Unfortunately, there is a long-standing bureaucratic inaccuracy thrown into the mix, in which these people are often erroneously categorised as slaves. This could not be further from the truth.
These volunteers are given honest work in Guild space and the opportunity to build a life from themselves. It uplifts them from a dire situation with an uncertain future, improves their quality of life and reduces the pressure on the Republic of Liberty to look after these people, when it is otherwise occupied with a violent war.
I hope this clarifies the situation. Please inform me if there is anything else I can help you with.
