If they aren't where you expect them to be, it's probably because the wreck in question has been looted since the last server restart.
If they show on the scanner but do not appear, it's probably because you have already looted that wreck - you can only loot a wreck once per character.
Daily server restarts (!) will mean the guns are more available, you shouldn't have any problems finding them.

Oh.. it puts them back after every restart? Byt he way anyone who wants to buy codename weapons ask me ill always have some, i have 4 extras right now, ill have more later in about 4-6 hours from now when i get on.

Yes, I believe the wrecks are reset with each restart.
The damage boost to codenames actually makes them worth using on fighters now, a bit of skilful flying and an uber-weapon like the Nova or Inferno can worry gunboats and maybe even cruisers, which I think is how it should be. Don't bother going against a bs shield though.

Well one very useful thing a fighter can do to help his teams battleships in a war match, is to have all tizona cel cid, or whatever they are called and an inferno launcher which all do lots of shield damage, and attack the other teams shields and then when the shield is down go to another BS and attack that ones sheild, it would be a very effective support strategy. I claim ownership of this plan too. :sleep:
One problem... I have found that the missile turrets, while not all that handy against capital class ships, are very useful against fighters. That, and you have to get past my bombardment of Kusari plasma for that to be of any use, ;)
Still, it's not a bad plan. That's about what would happen if, say, this were a real space battle. But be warned that you fighters are also going to have to worry about our fighters, so don't get too over-confident.

By the way i have spent a long time learning to dodge 4 gunboats 2 cruisers and 1 RH BS and killing them :) so im pretty confident that you'll have a hard time hitting me.
By the way i still cant get the guns off the imperial navy fighters and I've never looted them before...
