Conrad Lynch sits in the small bar of Arecibo Base awaiting the arrival of everyone that is to meet him to discuss his ideas concerning the Junkers and the forming of the Junker Shipping Cartel. Sitting at the largest table in the bar, he talks quietly with a couple 'henchmen' and makes small talk until everyone arrives. Otherwise the bar is empty, having rented it out for the evening.
Once everyone has arrived and has made themselves comfortable, he lights up a cigar and begins...
"First of all I would like to thank each of you for coming and taking time from what I am sure are quite busy schedules, so I shall get straight to the subject at hand. I have a vision of the Junkers becoming an even great presence throughout the Sirius Sector, but this will require a good number of us joining together in what I was thinking we would call the Junker Shipping Cartel."Conrad states before taking a swig of Bourbon and a few puffs from his cigar.
Then he continues after that brief pause,"I believe that we should put the this group out as a public face and business venture. Taking on jobs to haul cargo like any other shipping company, except for the fact that we would be able to take shipments to places that other companies can't."with only a short pause to take another swig from his drink, he continues once more,"As the Junker Shipping Cartel, we should only take on jobs that are legal and legitimate, as our ships would be tagged as the Company, and we would be representatives of all Junkers. This would increase our standing among the other various factions and organizations throughout Sirius."
"I am not saying that we would not take on smuggling or less reputable jobs however."He states with a sly grin before continuing,"But with these particular jobs, we should use ships that are not tagged as JSC ships." taking a few puffs from his cigar, "We should setup a few dummy or front businesses and have these... under-the-table jobs handled through them. These dummy businesses should have names that would actually reduce suspicion and thus be paid less attention to... something like 'New Hope Industries' or 'Prosperity Cargo' or some such name, and those ships openly tagged. These two to three 'fronts' could handle legitimate business as well, so that along with their names, the reputable business would help keep suspicions away from them."
Conrad looks to each person present in turn as he speaks. The whole time trying to judge how they are receiving his ideas.
He takes a few more puffs from his cigar and another swig before he continues,"As to the darker aspects of our ventures, and actions that we need to take against our enemies, we should have ships that are hacked and unregistered, so that they do not show to be Junkers to outsiders."He seems to take this subject very seriously as he speaks,"Those actions we have to take that traditional governments would call 'Black Ops' would have to be handled with these particular ships."
He pauses, looking at each in attendance with a firm expression,"As to that matter, I would like to address our relations in Kusari space. I would like for us to work on our reputation with the lawful groups of that area so that we could maneuver through that area more freely. Also increasing our rep with them would make it somewhat easier in dealing with those damnable Hogosha!"He almost spits at the mere speaking of their name.
"I am not as familiar with the outer reaches as those of you that are part of the Congress or Marauders, so if I am off base here, then I would like to hear your thoughts on dealing with the issue in question."Conrad says before his customary swig and puff,"We have a MUCH broader presence throughout Sirius than the Hogosha do, yet the Corsairs are allied with that group of trash. We could offer them much more in an alliance than could the Hogosha. If we could get the Corsairs to align with us against the Hogosha, along with increasing our rep with the Kusari lawful groups, we could get a firm foot dug in that area as well."Mr Lynch pauses here briefly to snub out his cigar, finish off his drink, and motion for his glass to be refilled,"I also believe that would make things easier for us in the Sigma systems bordering Kusari space as well."
He continues with another aspect of his vision,"Also, I believe we could bring greater wealth and prosperity to our people by purchasing products from those who can't sell their goods beyond local planets, bases, or neighboring systems. We could purchase products from our fellow brother and sister Junkers at a percentage hire than they would get from their normal customer, and in turn make a profit selling it in farther to reach places that will pay more for said products."He seems to honestly brighten at this part of the plan,"The better we do for our people, the better they do for us, and us for ourselves. This would encourage more to join us, expanding our influence more and making our people wealthier and more upstanding in the eyes of others at the same time."
Conrad smiles as he begins his conclusion,"This is my dream, and I realize that it is an ambitious one, but I feel not unrealistic. I know this will require many people, and many ships. I realize that if you wish to take on multiple roles within the organization as a whole, it will require multiple ships... to that extent, I am looking to put back a percentage of my personal profits into the Cartel fund to help members in larger or additional ships until we get all aspects of the group in full swing."
"I am not suggesting that I be the headman of this group, as the name by definition suggests, but should be ran by a founders council or similar. I would be one of the council members of course though."he finishes flatly.
"If there are any among you that are members of the Congress or the Marauders, I have not had the privilege of meeting anyone from either organization as of yet, and would like to talk to each of you seperately or together as you please."He looks to everyone in turn as he takes another drink and says,"I could go into much greater detail, but do not wish to take your valuable time any more than is needed. If you have any questions for me I would be glad to answer them."he ends as he looks to everyone in turn, listening to them each intently as he drinks from his glass and lights up his cigar again.
<<//OORP// - I have not met any of the Junker Congress or Junker Marauders since I started play. I'm simply looking for good and extended RP which is why I put so much thought into the character and organization. I simply have not seen anyone from the two PC Junker factions online, so I put some thought into a new one, thinking that they may not be very active. I would not be opposed to joining either, and bringing my ideas to them along with the RP. This whole thing is meant as a kickstarter for RP with Conrad Lynch and an attempt to bring in as many others as possible. If you like what I have done here and would like to have Conrad in your faction, them simply PM me with how you would like to initiate Conrad's recruitment into your group. I look forward to some good RP with Conrad >>
Seras was wearing her usual red uniform that made her look more like a police or security officer than and Junker when she walked into the small bar. She scanned the room until she found who she could only assume was Conrad Lynch at a table towards the center, surrounded by some hired muscle. She gave him a toothy smile and a quick wave before turning and making her way to a small table in the back of the room and waited.
As she listened to his speech, she wondered why she had even shown up. She wasn’t even considering joining up since she was plenty happy among the Junker Marauders. Maybe she was bored… or maybe she thought she might be able to give a few words of advice to the eager upstart. He did seem like he had the best of intentions even if Seras did think the man had a bit of a messiah complex.
She remained quiet up until Lynch mentioned that the Junkers should try to improve relationships with the Kusari government and corporations. She couldn’t help but let out an audible snicker at the thought but she did her best to not completely start bursting out with laughter at the thought.
After the man finished up Seras decided to sit back and see how things panned out so she just ordered a shot of whiskey, leaned back in her chair, and rested her legs on the table in front of her as she watched how things panned out.
Rico is sitting back in his chair taking a well earned break on his station in Inverness casually scanning the various monitors and screens that cover the walls of his inner sanctum. One screen in particular catches his eye, there seems to be a strange gathering in one of the usually quieter bars on Arecibo station in the Puerto Rico system, The Junkers Congress home system.
It almost seems to be something out of an old earth mafia movie, a very bizarre scene indeed. A small gathering of what looks to be civilian pilots sits in the Junker bar at a table with a strange character at the head of it addressing the few people who have gathered there. Out of sheer boredom Rico listens for moment to get the gist what he is saying. Rico wishes him well. When it becomes clear what the man is actually talking about Rico switches from the CCTV feed on the screen over to something more entertaining. Some Tau variety show with dancing girls and comedy acts.

I think the reason you haven't seen any Congress or Marauder ships on is because you don't know which tag to look for but Congress is the 4th most active group in the game, and is usually 1st or 2nd. I have nothing against you or your organization but you are mistaken about the activity of the 2 most prominent Junker groups. I would be happy to discuss this further in private with you.
