I'm Operative Lennox of the Order Primary Fleet. I'm coming to you in need of your cooperation. A certain scientist of our organization has lately had a breakthrough regarding a material called Azurite A6. Said material is very hazardous and is, as we speak, threatening his research. In order to make a field test to determine if he was right, we will be using a Nomad power cell as a energy source.

Now, he was also the one telling me about your organization. He said that, if anyone, you were able to help us with this. You are probably aware of the mass a power cell holds and therefore needs a special containment unit to be transported in. Otherwise, so our scientist said, the energy output would render apart everyone aboard my ship. Since that's not an option, we require such a vessel. I hope we can count on your help. We will, of course, deliver you everything you need for the construction.

Regarding Azurite A6, i'm curious as t' why you need such a large power source, when a smaller, more suitable energy source would be more appropriate for testing. But, that is my personal opinion of course.

So t' see if I understand correctly, you are in need of a containment unit t' house a Nomad Power Cell, correct? Is that all? Please clarify, and I will see what we can do.

Greetings Mr. McCool,

I'm glad to see that you're already in contact with Erzie, quite a brilliant mind that one.

But yes, we will use a power cell for the field test in order to see the most extreme outcome. While a rather ordinary power source might suffice, we do not exactly know how much energy the azurite can consume. In addition to that, we need an object that has a great mass, is small in size and generates a lot of energy. For the exact purpose, please refer to Doctor Erzie, for I'm not a scientist and don't really know the technological details either.

As for the containment unit, we need one such vessel to be able to hold a nomad power cell within a cruiser-sized ship for as long as possible. As already stated, if required, we can supply you with the necessary materials needed to construct the unit.

You mentioned that you will be using a cruiser-class ship t' hold the containment unit and power cell? I do have a list of questions pertaining t' that:

* Will this ship hold any other purpose beyond housing the containment unit?
* How long do you intend t' conduct your research with said vessel and unit?
* Where will you be conducting said research and tests?

T' elaborate, a cruiser-class vessel frankly will not be able t' handle the power consumption needed t' sustain the cell unless all resources aboard are devoted towards said containment unit. If you are wanting t' utilize the vessel in more military endeavors as well as conducting your research, then you may want t' acquire a larger vessel. That also goes into the length of time you are wanting t' conduct your research. If it is temporary and you are only interested in testing out Azurite A6 reactions, then the cruiser will suffice. If you are wanting a more length project, spanning say 6 months - 1 year? Then again, I would recommend a larger vessel OR retrofitting your vessel completely as more of a mobile facility than a ship with multiple uses. Lastly, such research with Nomad tech is, shall we say, not without it's caveats. Least of which would be say the Core or other "human" interests. You may want t' find a suitable system far enough away from known Nomad presence, as tampering with their technology may attract unwanted attention. Just a word of caution of course.

Hello again, Mr. McCool,

after careful consideration it seems to be wiser indeed to conduct said project in a larger ship. Regardless of where the experiment will be held, we can't afford to weaken our defenses in sacrifice of the containment unit.

That said, the exact duration of the field test is yet to be determined. It's also possible that the test won't take much longer than a couple of hours. I'd prefer, however, that you speak to Doctor Erzie regarding this matter, just to be sure. As for the location, we will be using a jump drive device to travel to a rather remote place, given that the doctor doesn't have much energy left on his ship and cannot afford to make many more jumps. Accordingly, we would also need the containment unit to be resistant to the energy output from the drive itself, as I think that it will have a negative effect on the cell if no precautions are taken.

Good morning Operative Lennox -

I am glad you have taken consideration into my questions. Indeed a larger vessel will prove safer as well as allow you t' retain some systems currently aboard.

As far as locations, I would assume you will be jumping from the Omicrons, and will be unable t' handle a larger, sirius-wide jump. If I may suggest, conducting a short-range jump t' the one of the Omega systems, perhaps Omega 9? Besides some smaller mining installations, that system is relatively void of life and would be suitable for a test.

I'll discuss more fully with Dr. Erzie and determine what materials we will need t' build such a containment unit, then we can iron down a suitable system for the test.
