Yeah hehe, i also posted something about another use for the repair ship with POBs.
1. Repair ship actually ONLY repair ship hulls, I think it also should can repair the damaged weapons for allow return to the battlefield.
2. As I posted here would be great allow the repair damaged POBs. Read the link for more info, just ignore about attackers to Core1 bases, because is not allowed anymore without a POB attack declaration HERE
I hope this Repair ship can be really useful in the future with these posibilities.

Hehehe, i think you didnt read the link... I say there, the base of course will still consuming and dropping health due no enough suplies, the thing is just repair the base hull for allow more time for the resuply.

Bring enough repair ships and you can counter wear & tear damage for free, as repair ships consume no commodities when repairing. Do you understand now why it won't happen?
I know, but understand that the reparation will have effect just temporary... the hull health will still draining at same rate due no enough comodities on base, its just restore the base health to allow owners bring the suplies. The base health draining will be the same in all times because the base have not the resources for keep it alive, lets say... its just a temporary fix. And would be a ship repair limits, for example 1 for week so. For example, use the repair ship for restore base health, tomorrow the base will have a little less health due no comodities, but if you try to repair again with the ship... no effect, or base turns hostile... something for limit it.
The objective of this is to improve the amount of interactions with corporations/factions who have a base and creating new services.
I say it because the hard limitations in the base resuply. Im helping some players with that and its really a pain. Overall with the low amount of players alive these days!! Hyperjumps distance is nerfed up to 4 or 5 systems, dont remember, Barge is removed, 5000 cargo transports cannot hyperjump... argh.... what is next? hehehehe.
If the repair ship will cannot help with bases... after talk with several players we all think the Barge should be back, just with a little bit speed improvement, 5 minutes for engage cruises for 90m/s... it would use 150m/s (like transport thrusters speed) would help a lot. Of course still cannot use tradelanes or planet dock hehe, just that little speed up.
