"A few days ago, I came across one of your ships known as the Dawnstar. The pilot in question being Roy, I had a small talk with the fellow and passed along an offer that some of your people might be interested in. In return how ever as would be typical, I would like someone with the capability of repairing, optimizing, and basically ensuring that the Cloak of my ship once again ran as was intended. If the Captian of the Dawnstar had been laxs. The offer was for getting a peek at a Resheph's Sensor array, the one that can peek into distant stars in real time. so if there is mutual interest send back a Transmission.”
Apologies for the delay in reply, we have several projects running at the moment and sometimes things get lost on my desk. Roy informed me of your situation, I'm currently waiting for Finn to return from a project he is inspecting but I believe Ingenuus is more than capable of assisting you in this matter. Before we can begin preparations our R&D team will need your ships information, weapons load-out, power array, sensor array, the works. This information will allow our teams to specially tailor a repair and refit process for your particular vessel and cloaking device to ensure that both work optimally together.
Moving onto the second part of your offer. A good look at the Resheph's Sensor array would be a boon to not only Ingenuus, but my own personal research. However I would like some acknowledgement that the Order Primary Fleet is in approval of your offer. My previous personal experience with the Order has lead me to believe that they are rather protective of their equipment.
"First I will speak on your first condition in respects to the Order. I am no longer of the organization and nor have I been for quite some time. My current status is what I can only be described as Freelancer. The Resheph I have has not been their 'equipment' for years."
The second matter being the one you first addressed. I will have the required files sent over as this is something already previously worked on with someone else but me and the person had a falling out. Reservations have already been made to the ship to accommodate what they said it would need, to this I will send the specifications on that alongside the required data. I suspect that alongside the improvement to the cloak will also come the knowledge on how to repair it should it sustain damage? I only ask this because the current state of the cloak was both because of prior events of combat and the outdated technologies violent tendency, it was modelled off the original Osiris' cloak.
I will send along the specifications once we have a solid deal."
After discussion with the design team I have some recommendations.
Firstly, IRG R&D staff suspect that your cloaking device may be an inferior model to whats currently available on the market. However I've sill asked Finn to take a look at it when he gets a chance. We may as of yet be able to bring the original device back online. However I highly suspect that we will be unable to do so. Therefor I recommend a complete rebuild of the Cloaking Device from the ground up, based on IRG designs rather than Order technology.
Additionally, while IRG recommends following all manufacturer guidelines for preventative maintenance at your locally qualified IRG repair center; I'm sure we can discuss and outline basic repairs for you and your new device.
Finally, if you are not on the best of terms with the Order we will need to arrange for a facility for this upgrade to take place. I'm sure you'll understand but due to the current political situation within the Omicrons our own shipyard in O-74 is off the table for use. I'm open to your recommendations for a facility to use, perhaps someplace hidden in a nebula.
“The current cloaking device is prehistoric, based off the original Osiris’. Be it the revival of the already installed device or a new one, I don’t mind either, How ever the expectation is that it will be a cloak that can be held indefinite. If you are a person of morals, this is primarily for defence and not attack. The purpose of my vessel is to house the downtrodden, those worth protecting. By consequence of the situation, if the cloak works, the same conditions can be opened to any of those of your group who need protection or be it needed containment.”
“If it needn't be done while attached to a facility then that is the option that will be driven for. I have a few places in mind. That being said it would be mandatory to have forewarning. While I am not apart of the order, old habits die hard and I am a paranoid type of person. The key attribute for the ship's survival and defense primarily is its stealth. There are various measures in place to ensure the continuation of such and I would ask if it would be workable. It would be required for people to be processed by a biometric scanner to ensure a nomad is not slipping aboard, as well as I would like dossiers on the intended workers to ensure there is not a mole in place that I would know of, despite of what you might assure me of and it would be a case of once started, it needs to be finished before the departure of the crew. Trust is luxury..”
If these are workable terms then we can progress and while work is being done. Then I will personally take you to fill my end of the agreement. That would be in a separate location. I know it may seem like unnecessary hoops but dependence has been solely on myself and I seek to keep you and my own people safe primarily. Imagining it would be a concern as to my priorities of when in conflict. Your people and my people are my prime concern and not the ship.”
