Current Rule:
Quote:3.2 A player who was killed during a PvP fight in any form, must not enter the system where the fight took place or re-engage the attacker(s) for 2 hours from the time of their destruction, or until this/these ship(s) leave(s) the game.(There is a 5 minute window after death in which you can leave the system with an empty ship.)

Proposed Rule:
3.2 A player who was killed during a PvP fight in any form, must not enter the system where the fight took place or re-engage the attacker(s) for 1 hours from the time of their destruction, or until this/these ship(s) leave(s) the game.(There is a 5 minute window after death in which you can leave the system with an empty ship.)

Reason:
Activity is not what is has been. Perhaps lowering the "cooldown" could make it so that players are not locked out of system for longer period of time than they have time to play?

TL;DR
Should we set PvP Death Timer to 1 hour?

Not 1 hour.
2 is enough.
Used to be 4 hours and was OK.

it would not change activity if you decrease to 1 hour.
Not by much, anyway.

Four hours back when server was 200/200. Sure.

Two hours when server is 50/200. Not that nice.

You forget though that you do not need to log off your character. Just go to another system.
it is not like FL has only one interesting system and the rest are no good. Just go somewhere else after the pvp encounter is over and you have your pvp penalty.

Yes, one hour would be pretty nice for the current amount of people. Less time out of game = more time for interactions and more time spent in game if your gaming time is limited.

Also public poll would be better as people can vote with their alts or just withno leaving opinion why. This way it will only get a heavy deny.

Sadly, community is so toxic that one can be persecuted based on his opinion on the matter. Staff can see the votes though.

Yes, I agree with you. Just because of this kind of attitude I stopped posting my own opinions and feedback. Just don't care anymore.

2 h is fine.
In reality, if you know the rules well enough, you can pretty much ignore most of the 2 h stuff anyway.
