~~~ Background Story ~~~
In the early 7th Centuary, many blue-collar families in Liberty found themselves out of work and in financial trouble. Some ended up joining the Xenos, some were cast into poverty, and some pooled their resources and bought some ships to leave their troubles behind. Most of this later group ran into trouble eventually and were lost. There was one group of families that prospered. Becoming Nomadic Wanderers, they would drift from system to system, staying alive and selling their services of entertainment or unskilled labor to whomever were willing to tolerate them. They slowly built up important skills for a space-going culture, and developed the ability to defend themselves. Eventually one of the skills they started selling was defense and protection. In this market, they found they excelled.
~~~ Capital Fleet ~~~
Liberty Dreadnought "ALS.Ragnar?k"
Coming from the same hull background as some of the later liberty Warship designs, this was the original ship of the families. As this ship became armored and had weapons installed, it started to resemble a Liberty Dreadnought.
Luxury Liner "ALS.Ark_of_Redemption"
The growing strength and prosperity of the Ragnar?k families encouraged the Ark of Redemption to join up. Up until that point there wasn’t enough strength of the fighting capacity of the families to sell military services. With the addition of the Ark of Redemption, the families became powerful enough to begin mercenary operations. They named their Military branch “The Legion of Armageddon.”
Talarca Light Cruiser "ALS.Warspite"
With the increasing difficulty of the missions, more of the fighting forces of the families had to be deployed in conflict rather than protecting their homes. This encouraged the Families to commission the Warspite, a Talarca light cruiser. With the Addition of the Cruiser, the families could deploy stronger forces to conflicts while still maintaining strength to defend their homes.
~~~ Description ~~~
The legion of Armageddon are a collection of families that travel together. They offer a variety of small crafts and trinkets made by crafters on their ships, as well as military power. They do not hunt bounties or attack individuals. They are an honorable outfit, fulfilling their contract completely before taking on a new one. Individuals in the Legion do not take on contracts, as that is the sole responsibility of the Leadership. When not under contract, they can be found in a variety of places, drifting through space. It is rare for any of their larger ships to go near a base, but it is not unherd of for the Luxury Liners to make a visit, and entertain the locals. Some people feel that the Legion civilians are an unsavory presence near a station, leading youth into corruption, and therefore prevent them from coming close, however, the legion have many skilled technicians on board their ships, and often the repair and improvements they can offer are welcomed on the station despite what people think about them.
~~~ Role ~~~
We expect the legion to be Mercenaries, hired by large political bodies for enforcement of rules for the duration of a time or for engagements. It will have a few Capital ships from diverse sources, but besides the Talarca Cruiser for limited fleet engagements (at a hefty fee. That’s the protector of our mothers!), they will not be used in combat, but instead for RP purposes. We will have a set place where contracts are posted, as well as what contract we are under, and the terms for completion. We don’t hold confidentiality, and we cannot be hired to attack or escort individuals.
~~~ ID & IFF ~~~
The ID is Mercenary. IFF is Freelancer.
~~~ Diplomacy ~~~
The Legion of Armageddon are loyal only unto themselves. They work for whoever pays them. They do not take persecution personally, and maintain neutrality to others in all but the most hostile cases, However, They will not accept contracts against the Xenos by any Liberty Faction. They will also not take a contract that is designed to protect smugglers of slaves or Cardimine, although they will take contracts from factions that engage in such activity. They will not accept contracts from or for the Nomads at all.
~~~ Ship List ~~~
The Legion fly Civilian Ships
~~~ Equipment List ~~~
The Legion use commercially available weaponry, as well as weapons that are made available via contracts with other factions.
~~~ Zone of Interest ~~~
The Legion of Armageddon operates in all known space. It stays in the vicinity of the city ship “Ragnarok”, although such ship is stationed a few hundred K from any place of activity by others except during system transitions.
Also, what are you trying to accomplish? Why the heck would the Outcasts, Corsairs, and Blood Dragons all give you chaps ships? Why do you need an unlimited ZoI to protect from nomads? You're telling me the best way to protect people is to kill off the weaker ones? Were you smoking something during this process?
"The Order: UNFRIENDLY" So, you fly as the order, but don't really like them?
Jack Handey Wrote:I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.
Now bare with us people, the more you make comments, the better you help our RP. "What are we trying to accomplish?" We are going for fun, really. Thats our main goal. Critizism is good and I thank you for that. And thank you for pointing out the weird things. But notice that the order breakaways were a neusance for the Order and thus arent friendly towards us, but i do agree, they should at least be neutral. And come on people, its OUR RP and we are playing the role as we WANT to play it. And having an unlimited amount of space to fly in, gives us mobility. Freedom. It gets boring sitting around one or two systems doing the same things over and over again. That information will be edited as needed. So I once again thank you for your critisizm. And why so many ranks? To give my guys something to work for. And if theres only like 3 ranks, they'd get bored too easily. Plus Ranks in LoA signify the amount of time a member has been with LoA. My second in command has been with me for over five years now. Those are the reasons there's so many ranks.
And finally, give us a break people, we are NEW to this realm of Roleplaying. So cut a little slack, we are trying our best to fit in correctly.
Might want to revise a few things
1) ZoI is too big
2) Ship list should be revised, not recommended to have ships from opposing faction I.E Blood Dragon, Outcasts
3) Way to many ranks.
EDIT: And was the 500mill deposit been paid yet?
Ok first thing the shiplist, your enemies wont let you fly their ships.
Deposit for what? No one has mentioned a thing about a "deposit". Becoming official? As for ranks, re-read my post previous to yours, I edited it after you read it. As for ZoI. I'd rather be able to fly anywhere than be stuck in a few systems. It gets boring just camping around.
Markus, thank you for pointing that out, I have been posting each one of your people's critisizm on our own forums so that my guy in charge of building our RP role can take a look and refine it as needed. Thanks people!!
Gets boring flying around in some systems? If you want to stick to RP, you have to stick to your ZoI, and Blood Dragons ships and Outcast ships aren't available to Order.
This seems more like a clan trying to get better in PvP rather RP, in my eyes.
