Mykolaiv was alive with activity, orders had been given, work-crews assigned and Commissars continuing to oversee operations. While Berth I was occupied with continuing to produce Warships for the immediate Fight, Berth II was devoted to a more experimental route. Inside the Berth one could see the distinct shape of an old-style Coalition Battlecruiser, it's paint job having faded away due to both what it has been through and how many years it has sat in the Berth being examined by both the Ministry of Truth and Dr XiaoBei's team. Most of it's experimental technologies had been stripped from her, leaving only it's core systems barely functional and scorch marks upon it's hull from where it had taken damage.
While the events that took place on-board the ship in the past were classified by the Ministry of Truth one could tell she was not a new ship, while the technology was still some-what modern the style was meant to mimic that of the predecessors of the small nation in the Omega Region. If one looked carefully enough they could see the ship's inscription in red letters on the side of the ship, it's paint partially chipped away and other parts covered by scorching making it much more difficult to read the name.
CPW RESURGENCY
The ship was however about to aid the Coalition once again, despite it's damaged and somewhat degraded state, it would prove of great benefit to the Coalition's war effort in the Omegas and beyond. on the far side of the vessel a small Storm Gunboat could be seen docking with the larger Battlecruiser, it's tethers connecting to the ship in order to prevent it from being accidentally nudged and drifting away.
Onboard a team of Coalition Engineers, clad in their black Hazardous Environment Suits, prepared themselves to step onboard the Resurgency, hoping to create from this old ship's design a new addition to the Coalition's Arsenal as ordered by Premier Warner, whose predecessor had sealed the Resurgency's records. Gregori Schultz fidgeted as the airlock went through it's cycle of decontamination before they boarded the vessel, his crew of 4 infront of him laughing and joking as they hauled their equipment onboard, leaving the younger engineer in the Airlock as Schultz forced himself to take deep breaths inside his sealed suit before stepping onboard the vessel.
With a sigh he followed his work-team, his boots echoing as they hit the deck-plates of the ship, two members of the team split off and started to take one of the ladders down to the lower decks towards the Engine Room to restore the power. Schultz followed the other two down the corridor towards the CIC. Hopefully they will be able to access the Computer Core in order to acquire the blueprints for the Resurgency.
As they moved through the corridors, walking with purpose and their feet carefully avoiding debris that littered the corridor in some sections, they finally came upon the door that led into the CIC from the rear entryway. Gregori and Vladamir, who was older by him by four years and a very quiet yet stern man, managed to get their fingers into the groves of the door and started to pull it open. The Resurgency's power hadn't come on yet so the two men were forced to do it manually while James, the third member of the CIC Group stood to the side with a smirk on his face.
"Hey Gregori, don't hurt yourself, wouldn't want Shinji to hear your whining from the Engine Room."
The tone of his voice grated at Schultz's ears, James had no idea when to shut his mouth. Gritting his teeth the native Coalitioner snipped back as Vladamir merely grunted in exertion.
"Stow it Bretonian, I don't see your smug face breaking his fingers on this door, you worried it might ruin your 'perfect manicure'?"
As James' scowl grew Schultz's glare lightened, feeling quite pleased with getting under the other man's skin. Finally the door slid open, it's tracks letting out a high-pitched noise as the doors slid upon them and opened up before all three of them stepped onto the CIC.

The CIC itself was in rough shape. debris littered the floor in several locations, the Holo-Console in the center of the room which usually displayed the region around the vessel and any 'objects' close by was covered in a massive layer of dust along with every other surface of the room. Schultz was immensely grateful he was wearing a suit right now...From the looks of it even breathing this air would send him into a coughing fit from the dust...
As they moved further into the CIC Room James went to the Holo-Console and started to carefully brush off where the control panel was. sending small clouds of dust into the air as he cleaned his workspace, Vladamir as stoic as ever simply marched to the Engineering Console, reached into a satchel he had slung over his shoulder and pulled out a PDA with a cord. Jacking the cord into the console he activated his helmet's comm unit.
"Comrade Shinji, we are in the CIC and waiting for you and Adam to turn on the Primary Power Grid so we can begin a systems check on the Resurgency's software to ascertain if it is safe to initiate a data transfer from the primary comptuer core. what's your status?"
It was quiet for a moment before a smooth voice was heard through all of their units, the Kusari man sounded slightly irritated and they could hear Adam, another Bretonian defector, chuckling in the background.
"Corporal Shinji here, we are nearing the engine room, this ship is a mess, the bare minimal was done to prevent this ship from falling to pieces during it's mothballing so we've been having to either manually bypass doors or go around blocked off corridors. If that wasn't enough Comrade Adam simply will not stop talking..."
This made James laugh out loud as Adam finally stopped his chuckling to quip in his own view on the matter.
"Come now Shinji, even you had to admit it was funny, it was too quiet and I was simply trying to lighten the mood."
That somewhat mocking quip caused a deep sigh of frustration to be heard from the former Kusari man as Schultz joined James at the Holo-Console, except on the opposite side where he started to brush off the dust on the Holo-emitters away in preparation for the activation sequence.
"It was not humorous at all Comrade Adam...You broke protocol, switched your comm device to be only received by my unit before screaming like a banshee when we rounded the corner...I cannot tell if you are an idiot or simply just wanted to see me jump." he commented while Adam started to chuckle once again, taking deep quick breaths in between his chuckles as Schultz just finished dusting the console off. Vladamir, now sighing and shaking his head placed his head into his palms as Adam's voice once again came through.
"Oh come on Shins! It was just a joke! I didn't expect you to react like a mortar shell was coming at you. Still...It was fun to see you dive right into that maintenance tunnel like a Marine into a Foxhole." the man managed to get out in between his mixture of chuckles and breathing.

As Shinji and Adam made their way through the Engineering Deck's corridors they could see obvious signs of critical damage, bulkheads were heavily damaged, exposed circuitry from panels could be seen and a large amount of scorch marks could be seen frequently in the hall. Shinji calmly walked over a pipe that was littering the hall as Adam was giggling behind him like a Kusari schoolgirl. Obviously still amused at the 'prank' he had played on the Kusari man not long ago.
"Are you going to give me the silent treatment the whole way to the Engine Room?" the man-child managed to get out past his giggles while Shinji kept his eyes focused on the task ahead of them. They were almost to the Primary Blast Doors that separated the Engine Room from Corridor C, from there they should be able to restart the Reactor in order to get at least the Data Core online. However he felt it would be faster if his 'backup' wasn't such an immature...child. Without acknowledging the man he turned the corner to come face-to-face with the Blast Door. Adam not far behind him as he also rounded the corner, giving a small whistle of admiration. The door was one of the few things in the hall that did not show signs of battle-damage, it was almost pristine aside from the damaged control panel to it's right.
"Comrade Shinji, have you reached your destination?" Vladamir's voice echoed in his suit as Shinji started to feel around the bulkhead for the manual override for the door. "We are still dark up here, Doctor XiaoBei wants us to get those schematics as soon as possible and we cannot do that without the power being restored."
Shinji by the end of Vladamir's sentence had just managed to find the outline of the panel hiding the override and had ripped off the cover plate, a manual lever that would open the door was concealed inside, Adam was leaning against the opposite wall as Shinji started to pump the handle, building up a 'charge' for the door to open. After five-six cranks of the handle the door slides open slowly lifting into the ceiling as the two engineers ducked under the door and entered the Engine Room.

The Engine Room itself was an even worse mess than the corridors, the battle-damage was much more evident here with several consoles showing signs of having exploded, old pools of dried blood could be seen where men and women would once stand or sit, keeping the ship and it's reactor together in their final moments. The reactor itself took up a large portion of the room, it's length stretching from one end of the massive room to the other almost wall to wall. Dark and as dead as the rest of the ship they tread within.
Shinji activated his comm unit to contact the CIC team.
"We have reached the Engine Room, the damage down here is promising, just by the looks of things I may have to bypass several power conduits in order to simply get it online as there are several breaches in the lines."
He waited a moment while Adam moved past him, reaching into his pack to pull out his tools as he reached the reactor's interface panel, and started to go a cursory glance over the damage to the reactor's interface systems. Shrugging to himself Adam initiated the start up sequence while Shinji was pre-occupied with his report.
The Kusari man having heard Adam start to 'mess around' with the controls reached out a hand in a slight panic.
"What the hell are you doing?!"
As he said this the Reactor began to return to life, lights around them flickering on and the life-support systems could be heard pumping oxygen into the compartments again. Adam, being quite happy with this, turned to Shinji with a knowing smirk on his face as the other man just gaped at the idiotic behaviour displayed.
"Relax Shins, there's several built in bypasses for when the Reactor Control System detects a fault. You really need to learn to loosen up and take a breather!" the now dubbed 'idiot' in the mind of Shinji proclaimed loud and proud. Shinji stared at him for a brief moment before shaking his head, muttering to himself quietly as he turned towards the Power Distribution Console on the opposite side of the room. "And you wonder why our instructor was nervous about your transfer...."

As the Reactor came online the lights in the CIC came to life and the sound of air pumping into the room could be heard. Consoles flickered to life as the Holo-Table started to display their position in New Moscow, docked at Mykolaiv's drydock.
Schultz smiled and nodded to Vladamir who returned the nod and contacted the Engine Room once again.
"Engine Room this is the CIC, systems are coming online, patch up what you can down there and stand by. Also please make sure Adam stays out of trouble Comrade Shinji while we attempt to access the Computer Core and download the plans so we can complete our job." Vladamir orders. The reply he received was not from Shinji but from Adam whose cheerful and irritating voice rung in his ears, causing the man to cringe and desperately lower the receiving volume for his comm unit.
"Hey, I always stay out of trouble Comrade Vladamir, I know this type of reactor like the back of my hand!"
Schultz shook his head at hearing that reply while Vladamir kept his temper in check and deadpanned at the communications console infront of him. He was not impressed from the looks of it and his eye was twitching behind his helmet's faceplate. Schultz turned his attention back to the Holo-Table and started to access the Computer Core's Library. Parts of it were fragmented from the first glance which made him frown, it was like the crew tried to erase specific sections of the database before leaving the ship... Making a note of that he started to search for the schematics.

As the engineers worked deep into the night they encountered various issues. Shockingly not all of them were caused by Adam whose behaviour would suggest him at some point causing a catastrophic failure of a vital system which would result in the ship either decompressing or being the cause of some form of reactor malfunction. Most of the issues stemmed from the Database which had various sections either corrupted or outright deleted, making Schultz feel un-nerved.
If the state of the ship was any indication it was obviously a hellish event that the crew had gone through and classified enough that it warranted the database being strategically altered or outright wiped. Schultz sighed as he scanned through another section of the database that had been completely corrupted to the point of being unrecoverable. Looking over at James he shook his head. who was hard at work himself across the Holo-Table, his own PDA linked up to the Resurgency's database.
The Bretonian returned the shake of the head, apparently he had been getting the same problems that Schultz was, someone or something had 'gone to town' on the database as it were, making locating the schematics much more difficult than it should have been. Vladamir, still at the Communications Console, turned around towards Schultz with a grim expression on his face.
"Comrade Schultz, Command is requesting a status update on our mission. Have you found the schematics yet?" he queried, making Schultz sigh, reaching up with his free hand to rub at his eyes in frustration
"No, I swear it's like the crew attempted to purge the database before departing, I am detecting multiple corrupted files and blank sections where large amounts of data was deleted. We're still looking however so see if you can stall Command until we got something substantial for them." he urged as he turned back to his work, his eyes darting from file to file as Vladamir turned back to the console to keep Command off their backs until they got the schematics.
Eventually a file caught his eye as it was one of the few files that did not seem to be corrupted, with a smirk he accessed the file and sighed in relief as a holographic image of the Resurgency came up along with technical specifications...He had found what he had been looking for...
