I noticed, in the rules, this line:

The following actions are considered cheating on this server:

......
Disabling vSync to gain a framerate of 160 or higher.
......

Why is this considered cheating exactly? I'm confused.

Preferably, for the sake of nobody learning about what may happen from this exploit, please PM me about this. I don't want a bunch of people reading this thread, then trying to replicate the exploit.

I'm actually curious, myself. I thought the human eye couldn't physically process a framerate like that, anyways?

The human eye can process a very high framerate (it's something like 300+).

Your monitor however, cannot. State of the art max out at about 144fps, and most are 60fps (and if your connection is wrong, you may only be having 30fps on your 60fps monitor).

Having a framerate over 160 causes the player do de-sync their location from the server. It causes jittering or stuttering, but only to the server and other players, not the one who is jittering.

The idea in getting the highest framerate possible is that it reduces mouse lag input, so the more frames you get, the closer the response from your mouse is to real time.

Something to hide huh? Smile))))))))))))))

Just use your graphics card's software or whatever you use to cap your framerate at 160.

It's a pretty widely known thing that's easy to see ingame, most people that do it don't last long before getting banned.

Yeah like it's a very, VERY, obvious thing when someone is doing it.
