Basically, this stinks. I've been back less than a week and nearly every sanction thread I've seen posted has some kind of argument with the admins in question. The admins are doing their job to the best of their ability, something which a few choice people should be reminded about. If you've got a problem, ASK (NICELY) for the admins to check it out, and send in your evidence to the contrary. The following is what I see happenning at the moment:
Quote:ADMIN: Player sanctioned for [insert actual sanction text here]
PLAYER: No, you're wrong. You don't know what you're talking about etc etc (note that no evidence is being put forward here)
Outside of the internet, I work in a bar. It's not a great position but it demands a little respect from people who want drinks from me. If someone gave me that attitude across the bar they'd be thrown out, no exceptions. I am, however, paid to do my job so I do have to put up with some crap here and there. The admins here don't have that luxury. They are doing it for YOUR sake, and to make YOUR time here more enjoyable.
Unfortunately, it's a job that has to rely on you lot having some form of intelligence (by that I mean the general public here). The admins have to make decisions based upon screenshots and any other evidence they might receive. They DON'T have the full picture, yet they usually get it right. Mistakes, however, can be made and yes, they should be pointed out BUT WITH THE PROPER RESPECT. Just because they have sanctioned you wrongly (in your mind) that DOES NOT make them the enemy. They are admins because they are judged to be unbiased. I'm fed up of writing about it now, so I'll summarise:
This Discovery community needs to stop acting like a spoiled child and give respect where it is due.

To the admins:
Sorry if I've started something I shouldn't have, and no offense is meant towards you guys. All of you can more than handle yourselves against this mass of idiots but stuff like this really gets on my back. I've no trouble fielding any 'comments' that come my way because of this so if you could keep it open that would be great.
The way I see it, is if you are Red then you are dead, the NPC's do not give the option of scanning for an ID so why should a player, they just attack head on,and if you are not quick enough to kill or get out of their way then you are dead, and you can't complain to the admins about it. if a player is red to another then he or she is an enemy or has been colaberating with your enemys, oh I know the old rep fixing shout will pop up, but if you were dumb enough to be red to players, that are your enemys then it's up to you to find a way to fix it on the qt, it can be done I know I have done it many times and you don't have to dock on enemys bases to fix it just a few bribes here and there. The soloution to that would be to start new players neutral for a limited time to give them time to decide npc which faction the want to join. As for engaging cruise to catch up why not, in all the space sifi movies I'v ever watched, if a cruiser spots an enemy and they are going to raid an enemys territory, they sure as h are not going to let that ship escape to warn there friends, if all this was so then there would be a lot less sanctions for for the admins to deal with and everyone would know where they stand. My opinion for what it's worth.
I find it odd I have been agreeing with Axe recently, because I never really did in the past.
But this time, he is dead on.
Although the admins do a great job. There are exceptions and things that look bad. I don't want to go in to detail...But if your in the wrong place at the wrong time, so to speak, and your in the screenshot or whatever...Your probably going to be treated as everyone else breaking a rule would or was treated in the sanction.
This may bring players to think that they where treated unfairly. Sometimes the lack of knowledge of the rules is an issue, even though not knowing them is an excuse for violating them, it is still a common issue on the forum.
Hence the arguments.

I've seen maybe 1-2 sanctions I didnt agree with (based on only what I saw) (went and read first page or so last week to get a better feel for the rules)
As for that red = ded guy ........
what if your LPI, and theyre zoner GUARD tagged ?
Thats NEUTRAL, but will STILL be red.
More importantly its against the rules, no matter how much you cry.

Hopefully that red-ded guy is allready banned.
The lpi and the zoners tosh if they were to meet then one or the other would be right out of their ZOI, can't use that as an example, doh
Atom, want the red is dead mentality? Go play on Hamburg. We don't do PvP server rules here, mate.
And Zoners and LPi meeting is just fine, Zoner influence stretches right through Sirius, their fingers in every pie. Better to give them the leverage to keep their neutrality.
Thank you Axe, (Who'd of thought I'd ever be saying that), the post si well thought ought and lacks your usual barbarism. A little respect for the work we do would be nice, but then we all know that this position is by and large a thankless task. I knew that when I signed on and I have never expected any different. It's aprreciated, though, when folks stand up to defend us. Thank you. *tips hat*

Fine, then Interspace Commerce and Liberty Navy Guard tag. Very easy for them to be red to each other. There will ALWAYS be examples for both sides of the argument. Common sense needs to prevail, and the way to use that common sense is to scan for the ID.
Hi Del didn't particularly want it just thought if that was in place it would cut down a lot of your sanctions, and i can't see where the PVP part comes into it, in the course of normal play. most factions that come across an enemy go to it anyway ie corsairs V outcasts and pirates v traders and BH and mercs v bounty's, thats all PVP as I see it, all be it in RP
