You aren't wrong. I wasn't expecting to hear from you. At all, really. I'm surprised. The last time I saw you was while we were in the Omegas, and you were loitering around there and Cambridge with some Coalitioner, I believe.
First and foremost - Who is Amy Smith? I don't know anyone by that name, unless you meant Cromwell. I know that Amy. She's usually loitering around on the City Ships. Maybe try sending her a message specifically? You'd probably get a better answer.
Second - Your offer of help. This isn't something I can really decide on myself. As you could imagine, people in my position have and always will have trust issues. Letting anything get close is a risk in its self, and you can never be too careful when it comes to personal aid like this. I'm sure you understand, right? There's a lot that could be put on the line just by saying a single word, misconstrued or not. I'm not usually one to risk it, but... I'll think about it. In the meantime, I do have some questions for you. There's always been some level of confusion as to where you somehow manage to appear at the most convenient of times. I'm assuming you're going to answer 'purely coincidental', right?
Why the sudden interest in helping us? It isn't about being willing to put your life on the line, but really the motives behind why you would take such a chance in the first place. It's... Weird. To me, at least. Maybe I'm just used to having guns pointed at me wherever I go, but I'd really like to hear your motivation.
Emissary... That is a name I haven't heard in a very long time. I can understand where you come from, as there are instances where people I've come to trust have turned on me, or proven to be something dangerous. Though, I'm a little surprised Thallia would say anything in opposition to us. What could she have said? There's never really been an instance of us betraying someones trust, really. Confidentially is something we value. While many of us might come from past occupations in which we've defected or left, it's never really affected how we operate. It's a little disheartening to see such rumors circulating.
You're not the only person the Order want dead, you know. If I'm not mistaken, The Lane Hackers made an attempt on our lives on their behalf several weeks ago. I recall Yoshida telling me how close they operate. A little funny, and disappointing to see such skilled people in the ways of technology bowing their heads to one of the megalomaniac's of the Omicrons. And you're right - they don't forgive, or forget. They need to learn to move beyond bitter grudges and their rough past to continue along the path they once stood for. As for your connection to the eh... Nomads, it wasn't going to cross this conversation, but I'm sure any clarification you feel is necessary can be done in private, as you've requested. I'm not bothered by your friends in the Coalition, as they're not an enemy of ours.
...
If you were to ever harm Raven in any way, the repercussions would be severe. Trust goes a long way, Emiko. Ours is hard to regain. It won't happen in a day, a week - probably not even within the month. A bridge that was burnt needs to be completely rebuilt, not repaired. You can continue this approach to earn our trust back. I still need to discuss this, and think on it more.
