Windowed Freelancer

I found that having FL windowed on my screen makes it 50x easier to switch to skype, or msn while playing. That way I can talk to people, get advice, change music, or anything else without having to alt tab.

Does anybody else do this? And if not, is there a certain reason playing in windowed mode is "not good"?

Windowed mode is very good for trading. I can trade longer and actually enjoy trading with Skype and Google Chrome without Alt Tabbing.

Its not good for combat though.

maybe i should make my window 800 x 600 instead of the larger one... then i'd have more space for internet and such..

The only problem is, it doesn't refresh while it's not selected. If it did, I'd love it.

How do you get it to run in window mode? FL Account Manager will do it, right? But will it include the servers?

Either with FLAM or with changing the Shortcut properties so -w is at the end of target
line.

It should work and just follow those steps. All steps have pictures too.
Just instead of Maplestory use Freelancer.

Oh btw, do you know if fraps works properly with this? Like, normally when I'm recording and tab out, the video I'm making freezes the last frame until I tab back in. With this program thing, does that still happen or not?

Just run FLMM and then use your regular Freelancer shortcut, it auto-attaches the mods regardless of if you start the game THROUGH the manager.

The only thing is you need to decide if you want the server added through the global workaround mod, or just a direct connection added into your shortcut (along with the -w)
