Well, our naming conventions keep to "not oorp name" ideal. Now, is adding country tag(i dont know better term for it) like US, RUS, PL, SRB, CRO/HR and alike considered out of roleplay?
If it is not, I would like to suggest it to be so, because its getting anoying. In online roleplaying name that supports only english with latinic alphabet there is no difference if you meet your countyman or not. Since, your characters might not be.
I mean, I can understand patriotic urges and alike, but this is not place for them. Most patriotic stuff I see as pass on server is naming ship name of your hometown, or capitol. Thats is somewhat fine, if tag/id/ship are corresponding to name (Bretonian battleship named L?beck is somewhat strange sight).
Is there anyting that should be done, or could be done about it?
WHY? I have nothing against if national sign is placed behind name and cant cause missunderstand with faction
I hate OORP names like "scoobydoo" or "you.have.problem" or wannabe Rheinlanders with English names without RP background (for Example Shimada is borned in kusari but from early youth grown in Rheinland)... and I uber mega censsored hate blood adragons with non-Japanese names.... member of one of the most nacionalistic faction in game with name "Steve_Barnaby"? doh..
I agree it is quite annoying, though I don't think this should be a rule.

I agree with the OP, the Russians do it alot. It gives a bad first impression in my opinion, seeing a player with a country tag.
P.S. The word 'Addition' in the title is missing the second 'i'. Also 'seeing' should have a double-'e'. And 'county' needs an 'r' to make it 'country'. Take your time making a new post!
With all of the factions that are available to characters - I'm NOT in favor of people putting national tags of some kind on their characters.
Just for example, is someone with CO appended to their name is some way a Corsair as part of their name, are they from Corsica in real life, or from the U.S. State of Colorado?
At the same time, we've got to keep track of GC, RHA, SCRA, LH, MR, BD, S/D, ICC, and 50 some odd official and unofficial factions on the server. I was in a group with someone tonight and he said, okay, who are those guys? BK - are you guys the Burger King franchise, or are you from Bangkok?
It's confusing as hell already - I'd be in favor a rule banning country affilitations.
(And as you said, Deiter, you've got factions WITH country initials just to make it MORE confusing.)
