Alright I'm back with my ship model, I need advice.

Alright I'm back with a somewhat complete model of the previous one I had posted earlier this week.

Originaly the ship was to have a longer hull but i just cut it down by about 1/3rd. So this is what I ended up; a new gunboat.

I need some advice on texturing it but my real problem is getting help with the mounts.

The rear tells me Kusari and the top looks sleek and fast. So maybe an Advanced Kusari Interceptor?:huh:
It dosn't look like a gunboat to me.

Gunboat, hm, how about a Xeno Cruise Liner or an LWB Explorer?:laugh:
On the other hand a lot of small factions lack a warship line (sarcasm).

However, good start, keep practicing. The model itself doesn't look finished to me, so no need to do steps 2 and 3 before 1 is complete. Let your mind flow and play more with the abilities of gmax.

Yes, as I said before, potentially a kusari type ship.

But due to the minor differences as pointed out by 13cent it could fall into a Talarca category.

Must say, I like the ideas of lateral vertical wings. The only other discovery ship to have such concept... I think, not sure, is the Bretonian Paladin HF I made.

We might add up in more of these designs, which hasnt very much been used around. (and please no one suggest any more catamaran they are so ugly...)

Yeah i was gonna say those side panels look familiar, except this does't look as much tie because of it's extended length. Looks like good potential of being a GB or a freighter.

EDIT: Just noticed, i know it's early days but...cockpit? Where's it gonna go?

It looks right along the lines of Jinx's GC line. I don't know if RP would dictate a GC gunboat, but that's what it looks like.

@Ash: The cockpit? In the front view, you notice the top center of that ship where it's been raised a bit? Since this is suppose to be a captial ship design, I wanted a small fortified bridge there.

@Yue: Isn't the catamaran that kusari bomber? The one that looks like a freaken boat with those two long pontoons in the front? *shudders* I don't even know how you ppl can fly that thing.

Makes me think of a blockade-runner freighter or transport. A Kusari-made Armored Transport, maybe?
