Friends, it's time to wake up now.

Our people in Omicron Delta have received this transmission send from the Core on a public channel. Everyone there in the system has received it. And if you thought the situation can't be even any worse, take a look at this.

I don't know how it happened, but they have Finn McCool, representant of the Confederacy of Freeports and head of the Ingenuus Research Group. All we know is he was in negoations with the Core in order to find a peaceful solution to this catastrophe in Delta, and obviously the negoations have failed, resulting in him being kept as a hostage. While it is already insane the Core sieged the Freeport a few months ago, causing thousands of casualties on Zoner side, this is an entire different level. With him being unable to do something, it's now on us to do it.

But what can we do? Fighting fire with fire?

I'd rather not. The Core managed to regain it's strength after the first Core-Zoner-Conflict a few months ago, and we still didn't manage to repair the Freeport from the attacks. This is something we can not win. We aren't warriors. We are Zoners, and negoation is what made us what we are. We have left the house space to stay away from trouble and war. Now we are confronted with another war. We can't win this war. A war started by idiots from both sides.

We are running out of time. Respond to this within the next 48 hours. Share your opinions, discuss, prepare, find a consent. This channel will remain open for all adressed groups. After 48 hours, we will act in the only reasonable way.

Here is my suggestion, friends. The Core might not be the biggest warfleet out there, but they are a warfleet and that makes them having one warfleet more than we have. They have the training. They have support. They have coordination. Let's be realistic. Most of us have none of it. We can fight them, but we wouldn't win this fight. So let us rather not fight. We are Zoners. We are pacifists, and here we have to accept Freeport 11 is lost territory.

I suggest we surrender Freeport 11 to them. This way, the station will remain. We can get our friends and families from the Freeport and can bring them to Planet Gran Canaria. I might be able to contact Chairman Pines of Orbital Spa and Cruise to help us bringing the people to Canaria, while we would need to contact other friends to give us logistical support on the Planet. Medical teams and supplies, mobile home units, food, all this. I am sure we can get things working somehow. But we need to act as soon as possible, and we have to appeal on the Core's generousity to allow us to do it. I rather lose this way than lose watching even more innocents get hurt or even worse. We can't win this. But we must not lose this.

If we don't surrender, the Core will definitely kill Finn McCool, as he was the one that demanded Fillian's head during the first Core-Zoner-Conflict. Not only that, they will either conquer the Freeport with force, or rather eradicate it once and for all.

We can't allow this to happen.

Kid, now listen closely: I understand that you feel afraid now, and there is no shame in this. The situation is dire. However, understand what this man of universal wisdom said about fear and freedom. Take it to your heart, and the wisdom will not fail you:

“He who has overcome his fears will truly be free.”

And once you have managed to reign in the fear that holds a firm grip around your heart, where buried deep within the spark of freedom and the will to strive for it lies, you will understand this:

“It is better to die fighting for freedom than to be a prisoner all the days of your life.”

Mr. Finn McCool will also understand that we cannot be bound in our actions by his fate. He would not want you to despair because of him being held by the Core. One life is nothing when freedom is at stake.

If you are not willing to sacrifice one life, you should not be leading in times of conflict.

You seem to misunderstand, Elder.

When they kill McCool, they will attack the Freeport in Omicron Delta. They have the power to destroy it, that is obvious. This is not about sacrificing one life. This is about the lifes of all the people on Freeport 11 that can't be evacuated now, due to the NEMP bomb's resulting chaos. We can't access the station. We can't get our people down from the Freeport.

And when the Core is done with Freeport 11, who says they will stop? Livadia and Corinth are just too close, just as Freeport 8 in Sigma-15.

If anything, we should have sacrificed the Arcadia and the I-401 way earlier. Now we have to face the consequences. Let's not allow this to turn even worse.

Short version: There are no more living people on the Freeport.

I was there, yesterday, when Freeport Control released wave after wave of escape pods before life support systems shut down. I was there to oversee and try to coordinate the effort of locating the pods and having them picked up as fast as possible in order to avoid even more loss of life.

As I wrote in my witness statement, the vessels Digger Fish of the TAZ and the Spirit Walker of the Solar Runners picked up most of the escape pods, while other vessels assisted and transferred them to those two vessels. Said ships managed to slip out of Delta before the Wilde could close off the escape route. I kept contact with them, and they reported that they delivered the survivors to O49 safely.

We do not know in which condition they are, however one thing is clear: There is no meaningful number of people trapped on Freeport 11 any more. Everybody who is there now, is dead because life support failed.

The Freeport is just a symbol now, nothing more, nothing less.
The Core does not hold anybody hostage on Freeport 11. They are safe or dead.
And we can act.

Listen to me my friends. Something will happen when the time comes.

And each and every person in Delta will witness it.

You might not like it, but it will be our last choice if we want to stand up to The Core.

Really!!! What the hell are you doing?

Core is a band of bullies and murderers. But worse, Zoners representatives are soft people, we are people of the frontier and we are between "la espada y la pared". Maybe we are not, all of us, soldiers, but most of us are warriors no some traders working under zoner flag or rats lab.

When was the last time that ours "loved" leaders did an expedition beyond the mapped universe or they defended their people against external forces or did ANYTHING?

We live in the edges of human universe, we are not house people because any of us take the most difficult choice: go to the unknow and make a home there.

You really believe that with our experience in others wars can´t make ours ships in true warships or we can´t use a weapon against who attack our home.

OSI, IRG and CoF you are a shame for the Zoner people because you are out of the reality. In a universe of guns, words are useless, like you.

Grow a spine and say now "NO PASARAN", but you never will do it you feast in yours profits or lost in yours labs or been the nice guys.

You never were Zoners, gone beyond the know space, lost almost everything... You are blasted cowards.

From now I don´t recognize you like our representatives. You can´t be you betray us.
From now every Core is fair game, every Cast who godship "a los calamares" is an enemy and every human that shoot a Zoner "es un cadaver andante".

If you deliver or punish ours brothers in those ships then you will be the enemy. "Y os doy mi palabra de honor" in that you will be doomed, I had more than my share of battles but I never hated my enemy only traitors.

Mannock out.

To Kyu Akibara, and the Confederation of Freeports.

It is with great displeasure that we were once again called upon to aid in the defense of the Freeport with very little detail as to what had transpired. As we had stated to the Confederation and The Core during our initial investigation of the matter, a mutually beneficial solution could've been found to avoid further loss of innocent life. Our peacekeepers spent several days securing the Freeport and asking questions to ascertain the catalyst which caused the events that have since been occurring in Omicron Delta.

As you yourself had come to uncover, two vessels were responsible by becoming involved in a conflict, and thus pinning another reason for The Core paramilitary to blame the entirety of the Zoner Community, and make use of its ruthless tactics to eradicate the civilian population of Delta, or force them in to submission and slavery. Their utopia is a lie, and their methods will be the end of direct opposition, as you are no more soldiers than they are diplomats. Had the Confederation expelled the Iona 401 and Arcadia from the protection of Zoner law for their actions against the Core and poor representation of the Freeport 11 occupants sooner, conflict may not have escalated so quickly. Had this attack truly been unprovoked as was originally stated, our stance would be that of last time, and the only reason we remained on scene for an extended period of time was to complete the investigation in to the assault of the IRG vessel Fianna by the Core, which was without merit or cause, despite their claims. Those actions are borderline unforgivable.

However.

Due to the unprecedented need of several within the Zoner community that are attempting to rise up against an overwhelming and coordinated force - as admirable as such actions may be, we advise against directly confronting The Core as it will only bring more bloodshed. This has become nothing more than tit for tat, and when Zoners had begun to retaliate beyond defensive stances, we effectively withdrew our peacekeeping support, and will not partake in a direct war against an enemy that does not have a moral compass stopping them from achieving victory. They will kill even the impartial to prove their point, and I personally fear for your well being.

Thus, the only support we can offer at this time is strike craft to aid in the evacuation of those who do not wish to pursue conflict, wounded personnel and relief convoys. Without Sirius backing you this time, due to The Order once again using your laws and people as human shields, we will not participate in direct conflict.

With solidarity,

Curator Leviathan & The Inner Phalanx

Kallisti,

I was there with Sonya and Hagbard escorting the two rescue vessels. Luckily we made it safely to Omega 49, but what happened before that was something that I had never seen before. How can someone claim to be human and still perform such genocide, I fail to understand. Furthermore, sending that taunting communication that this so called "Empress" adressed to us all, talks about a new kind of madness. And those who have met me know that I'm no stranger when it comes to surfing the fringes of the mind. This though, left me speechless. As we roamed the Omicrons and the Omegas on our way to Gran Canaria with the wounded, my mind kept looping and looping on those dire 23 seconds in which the skies turned white and a thousand lonely murder victims yelled at once.

We cannot let this go unpunished. The Telemakhos is at the CoF service for any kind of retaliation and/or rescue mission. Brother Finn counts on us, and we cannot disappoint him. I'll move to Freeport 1 right now and I will wait for further news. Do not take too long to make a decision people. The future of Zoners hangs by a thread. We cannot let them trample us like this. After all, Core is only the new kid on the block. They must be dealt with.

Blessings,

Dear Kyu Akibara

You are looking for peace and that is a noble cause that the Seraphim totally endorse.
I am pretty sure your proposal would indeed solve the conflict with the Core in omicron Delta, but I fear it will open the gate to a dirty future for zoners.

Indeed, if we surrender without conditions to the Core and abandon Freeport 11 to them, then this will create a dangerous precedent for other parties. Especially, on the same basis the Corsairs could obtain Freeport 9 and 5, Outcast could go for Freeport 10, and then even the House governments would probably try to get the hand on our freeports.

However, I totally agree with you, the zoners on their own do not stand a chance against the Core in a military conflict. But, despite of their propaganda and territory claims, the Core is just a small paramilitary organisation. They are very far to be a House. They lack resources, economy, knowledge, technology and population. Believe me, they would be wiped out of Sirius in a very short time by the Order and the Corsairs if both these factions would concentrate their forces to fight the Core. Remember the power of zoners relies on their allies and relations. Nevertheless, I do not encourage to pursue this useless military conflict with the Core, too many lives has been lost for nothing.

This mean, if we cannot sign peace with the Core, and I still believe we can, then indeed we have to abandon Freeport 11. But if we are going to this extremity, then we must sabotage and destroy the station before leaving. It is out of question that we give a Freeport to some brigands that are willing to take it by force. If we have to leave Freeport 11 then we must nuke it and let the remains in inhospitable radiations for centuries if not millennia. More than that, we must also ask our allies and convince other factions to take economic sanctions against the Core. We must also sue the Core in House courts for what they did. Attacking zoners should not remain unpunished or this will be the end of zoners.

Best regards,

Dankien Moebus

Recording.

After both sides were weakened during the conflict at Freeport 11, the Nomads came to strike those left standing. This would be the end of a war in the Omicrons- Whoever is left would be vulnerable. Yet the Core cannot be permitted to gain more footing.

As I've seen, the Core is somewhat divided. Not all of them are so blood thirsty as the likes of that empress character, and are feeling the pain of loss just as much. But it seems that those in positions of leadership are in disagreement with the more sensible of them, sadly.

Mister Moebus' words are wise. Should the Core not forfeit, we should not grant them such an easy victory. If we cannot reclaim Freeport 11, it should be destroyed, and better yet with as many Core thugs aboard as possible.
We can't fight a war alone, but perhaps we don't need to. We have allies, and this act will undoubtedly gain some sympathy at least.
And, if we can gain support from those within the Core who do not agree with their leaders, it may cause a divide within their ranks.

I'm not so keen on politics, but I believe this is a conflict we cannot forfeit. The Core will only keep pushing if we give in.

If this comes to war, all of us must, above all, do our part to defend the innocent.

[Recording end.]
