However, nice that Discovery is getting more followers :)
As for connecting with global server offline, there's a manual on that... I'd also include server IPs into servers.txt file that comes with the mod, but no admins contacted me about this so far.
Theres an old game I used to play called "Battlezone" some of you may be familiar with it, others probrably not. Anyways, the official Activision servers went down, they gave ample warning, and a group of players setup their own server through the internet (Kinda the same thing Freelancer has, just communicates IP's to the clients)
It may be possible for a big named group like LancersReactor to take it over and run it off donations like the LR is now... Or maybe design a piece of software that uploads the servers information to a website (Really just the IP) then lets clients with client software query for FL servers, it then pings each server and gets information for it... Just an idea.
And thanks Igiss, I enjoy discovery 1,000x more than I did Evolutions Nomad Revenge.
Igiss, I don't have anything more to say than what was already been said here..
Thanx for making this possible!
I, like DarkOddity, came from Evolutions Nomad Revenge.. and stayed here.
If the stars should appear one night in a thousand years, how would men believe and adore and preserve for many generations the remembrance of the city of God? - from 'Nightfall' by I. Asimov The Outcasts consider Siniestre Nube a sacred place for several reasons. Early explorers discovered a jumphole within the depths of the cloud that leads to a strange world of ringed stars and strange craft.
