Wartime Supplies GRN - CR & Council
Trade Tug-O-War Event
DESCRIPTION Both sides are preparing for the deciding battle, moving huge amounts of supplies towards the front lines and ready to offer any and all transports capable of cargo delivery to contribute, while at the same time funding groups to hinder the preparation efforts of their opponents.
DETAILS Delivering cargo to its intended destination will raise the war-score for either side, the completion of which will then be used to obtain a special Flagship class event ship for the duration of the final battle. The goal score is set to 500 000 units of cargo, but be warned - the default bonus for the delivery of this cargo is below the average trade route. It will be up to either side to motivate shippers into supplying their efforts, or perhaps will they rather have the opponent's cargo not reach its intended destination? Cargo Information:
Gallic Wartime Supplies- Shipped from Planet Honshu to Battleship Guillestre (Tau 23) CR/Council Wartime Supplies - Newbury Impound Complex (Poole) to Sabah Shipyard (Coronado)
~Event Note: Apologies to everyone who feels like the suppliers do not make sense - I had to balance by time traveled.
•Both of these cargo items may be demanded by non-generic IDs anywhere and the trader killed if they refuse to comply.
•Generic IDs (except for the Pirate ID) may demand this cargo in the case where either official faction involved in this event have posted a bounty board for it and said characters have registered on it. Factions that use the Freelancer ID as their base are counted as Non-Generic in the context of this event.
•This cargo can be hauled by any ID that can dock on either base.
•You will contribute your points as long as you sell the same amount of cargo on the destination station as the amount you bought on the starting station.
Other information will be updated on upon starting the event at 18:00 UTC.

PSA: If you have been having stutter/FPS lag on Disco where it does not run as smoothly as other games, please look at the fix here: https://discoverygc.com/forums/showthrea...pid2306502

First question might be a bit dumb, but do official factions with their own version of the Freelancer ID count as Generic IDs in the green rule?
Will pirates who hit both sides have a place to sell the cargo? Like a neutral Freelancer/Zoner base? ~ No, they will count as non-generic factions. Pirates will not have a sellpoint as the profit margin is tiny (1,5k)
The event will become active in 1 hour 30 minutes.

Hi and thanks for the event!
There is a communication/link problem:
top header says :
"Active Event: "Wartime Supplies" A large battle is brewing in the Tau 44 system between the Gallic Royal Navy and the joined forces of the Crayter Republic and the Council. Both sides are preparing by shipping supplies to the front lines, which will later allow the construction of specialized ships to aid them in battle. Help either side by hauling the supplies, or hinder their delivery yourself."
first date in that header is : (December 10, 2016)
Not sure how the event plugin works, but could I suggest adding an additional source of supplies for each side, located inside Gallia? A council one in Champagne or similar, and a Royal one in the system of New Paris perhaps?
Same distance as the current ones, same destination.
+ note about :
CR/Council Wartime Supplies - Newbury Impound Complex (Poole) to Sabah Shipyard (Coronado)
seems there is no "CR/Council Wartime Supplies" entry in the "dealer" window of the Sabah Shipyard.
Maybe I'm wrong but this can confuse occasional/new players.
About events in general, please be more explicit in the announcement details, new or occasional players -specially when not speaking english easily- may not understand abbreviation like GNR, CR or others practical aspects (like exact destination in some previous events etc) that looks easy for experimented players.
last : maybe I missed a part but look like the bonus isn't very high, this because I could do more profitable run without any risk.
Thanks for attention and again for this events and all other that bring more fun to the game.
I find it pretty silly for Outcasts now to force CR to focus on Coronado when the focus should be in Taus.
You are hurting Tau activity (and thereby yourself) by making your siege coincide with the Tau event.

Strategically it makes sense. The CR are focused on the Royalists, and left their home somewhat vulnerable to an attack, so the Maltese send in some ships to do some damage. That way in the long run, the CR won't have an overpowering foothold in the Taus, as they'll lose some ships fighting the GRN and some back home fighting the Outcasts.
