To whom it may concern,
If I may introduce myself first: My name is Elena Voigt, and as I'm speaking to you, I represent the Forlorn Hope, a band of professional mercenaries and partially traders expertised in a many different ways.
We couldn't help but notice the comm message you publicly sent to all of Sirius, containing a description of what The Sol Project stands for and what you strive for.
The goal of re-establishing contact with Sol is a very interesting and honorable goal, but a severely costy one for sure as well. That's why we suppose you can need every helping hand willing to support your project, which is the reason I am contacting you today on behalf of my organization, to discuss with you in which way our mercenaries can help you on your journey, either through financial help or actions, even though we personally would prefer the latter option. Also, if joint efforts are desired by your side, we will also have to discuss how such a deal could look like, in detail what we can offer you, and what you can give us in return.
Either way, we are already eagerly awaiting your reply, and hope we will be able to get to know each other better and cooperate in the future.
Yours sincerely, Knight Captain Elena Voigt
The Forlorn Hope
I seriously excuse for the late response. I am pretty sure you understand that at the start up the work is overwhelming.
Let me say thank you for your offer. Of course, as a private project the major part we require are finances. We thankfully accept private donations and even negotiate investments with a level of influence and insight in the project.
However the possibility that the project will allure hostilities is very much imminent. So, we could gain a mutual benefit out of our relation. Does this sound interesting?

Dear Prof. Dr. Samson,
Yes, I do understand your lack of time to respond to incomming comms when being confronted with setting up such a large project as yours. Hence, there's no need to apologize really. I myself was fetched up with a personal issue, which explains my delayed reply.
We can definitely talk about some financial support from our side, we've got some money we could theoretically offer you. On the other hand, as I already said, our main job is fighting. And if you might allow me to blow our own trumpet a bit, we're quite good at it and have a certain talent in our ranks. However, before we make a final deal about this, I'd like to know which sort of hostilities you are expecting, and with which organizations if you can already give us hints about that.
I'm glad you mentioned it first, because we are certainly interested in having some sort of insight in your project. My organization is always keen on learning about the latest technologies, and as I see it, you could invent revolutionary things very soon. If so, we definitely want to be a part of this.
That's what we'd have suggested. What do you say?
Yours sincerely, Knight Captain Elena Voigt
The Forlorn Hope
of course, we could grant your group access to the project directly related to the investment your group wants to take. This is up to you.
The question about hostiles is a difficult one. Luckily we haven't noticed any hostility so far, but we have also done evaluations about potential threats.
Our group is based on the independent and anti-governmental culture of Zoners. This fact may instantly result into a handful of aggressors. Like the Core.
Even though our group doesn't adopt the Zoner reputation in general as we handle our diplomatics independently aswell. We also fear hostilities and terrorism from technofascistic parties and terrorists, but also house military and corporations have been evaluated as a potential threat. I hope I could give your party a light insight into this.

Dear Prof. Dr. Samson,
We will have a discussion with the other members of my organization whether and how much we are willing to invest, but I believe you can expect at least something.
Coming back to the topic of hiring us. It's good to hear you handle your diplomatic relations yourself instead of letting yourself lead by the CoF. As far as we heard, problems are brooding in Omicron Delta again, the Core seems to become interestingly active again. I hope that as long as you stay more or less independent, you'll be able to stay out of that drama - especially since we might be able to frighten off some baddies, but we won't be able to handle the entirety of Core aces.
Protecting you against terrorists on the other hand would be a very doable thing, but as with the matter of donations, I want to discuss it with my fellows as well before strucking a final deal. I'm sure you will understand though that if House officials show hostilities to you and your project, we won't be able to help. A good reputation with all four houses is the main basis for our operations all across Sirius, hence I see us unable to gamble with our good standing.
Yours sincerely, Knight Captain Elena Voigt

Hello there again Miss Samson,
I must admit what happened earlier this day weren't the ideal circumstances for us two to finally meet in person, as I said quite ironically right before I'd have decided to resend my last transmission.
Anyways, it seems we both got out of this situation more or less unharmed, which I'm very glad to see. After all, we still wanted to make a deal right? I'm afraid we're struggling a little too much at the moment to be capable of donating any reasonable sum of money for the time being, however we are willing to catch up on that later as soon as we got the means to.
We do hope that your project could already make a step forward since we last talked. And do not hope that it already attracted jealous eyes of some not-so-high-esteemed organizations. However, I wanted to make sure you know that anytime you'll get into trouble and need somebody to safeguard your project from hostile hands, please make sure to hit us up. We got some guns at our disposal, would be a shame if we wouldn't target some bad guys with them for you, wouldn't it?
Yours sincerely, Elena Voigt

I am happy to announce that we have finally finished all evaluation of the project costs, contracts and investment options. Therefore I want to propose to you a security contract you might be interested in. I hope this option is suitable for your faction. If you require details about and seek for an investment feel free to ask.

In case of damage or destruction through no fault of one’s own the Forlorn Hope will receive a compensation of 75% of the repair costs or vessel prices.
Employees of the Sol Project have the right to order the Forlorn Hope to leave the Sol hypergate site area.

Hello again Professor,
I'm very glad to hear that evaluation process has finally been finished. As it cannot be disputed that this took a while, I think it's a positive sign, hinting that you got a lot of parties interested in your project, which is a great thing to note. It has been a very ambitious project from the start, and I had actually believed it to be a bit too ambitious for most people to put time, effort and especially money into it, but seems I've been wrong.
What you offer us a is a very interesting contract, one that I would like to elaborate about a bit further concerning its details. Because as I looked through your suggestion of a deal, I found a few lines that could use clarification from your side.
First of all, there are the words "fixed charge". Of course, being payed money in return for guarding your project is a very doable and logical thing, however I like to say that simple payments should be the last excuse for not having any other more interesting, more in the long run benefitial ideas on how to pay somebody back. Hence, even though we got nothing against payments, we'd like to suggest an exchange of certain knowledge in return. I'm very sure that in the course of this project, new technologies will be discovered, and we're more interested in learning about them than finding even more money in our pockets.
Second, paragraph number two contains a line that might could become troublesome. How are we supposed to keep our relations to the Sol Project hidden if we are going to guard their facilities and drive their enemies out of there again. It will become very obvious very soon that we're working together with you, hence I'm not sure how long this part of the contract will be able to stay active.
And third, the last line is somewhat irritating me as well. About which areas are you talking in detail? The ones containing facilities, construction sites and so on, or any area you don't want us to be in in general? Because if it was the latter, I'd find this part of the contract troublesome as well, maybe even the most, and we'd have to discuss this part of the contract in more detail to find a mutual agreement concerning this.
Otherwise, please give us a bit more time to evaluate a few things ourselves before we can call the deal struck once and for all. Thanks for the given time in advance already. We're already looking forward to hearing from you again.
Yours sincerely, Elena Voigt,
Knight Captain
