I am contacting you on behalf of the Chavez familia with a request. Commandante, you were the one who confiscated 13 energy cells from an IRG vessel commanded by a Hans von Goeben. As you might have realized, the IRG is not interested in having a diplomatic solution and they would not compromise and unlock some of these cells for our use. They are - and this has been confirmed - useless or even dangerous without being unlocked by someone from their group.

So, this is where my little sister comes in. She knows Mr. Hans von Goeben really well, they have cooperated on some scientific projects and he has helped my familia to become a significant player in the artifact business. Ana, my sister, agreed to talk him into unlocking cells for us - if necessary without IRG knowing. She is good at these science things. The price however is that most of these cells go back to Señor von Goeben, but honestenamente, at the moment they just take up space and even could be used as bombs against us if the IRG's threats are correct.

As the Señor is not of the military kind, hates violence and appreciates good contacts with the Corsairs, it was easy to convince him of sacrificing one cell for the irrigation project near Villa Formosa on Crete. TBH diplomacy suggested this one, so the Chavez famila stuck to this part.

Now, the cells are your property at the moment. I suggest you give me an idea what you want for handing the cells to me and get some of them unlocked. The Chavez clan is willing to negotiate with you or your familia for these goods.

If everything goes well, we will get 1 or 2 energy cells unlocked, without IRG knowing if necessary for our use. Interested, Commandante?

Oh I see. It is the Power Cells you are inquiring about. Bueno, okay...

You know, Seniorita, I believe it was my duty to have confiscated these power cells from the IRG|Hans.von.Goeben . I think it is for the saftey of us all that locked power cells that are acting as bombs would be regulated through the passage of Omicon Gamma, my sweet and precious casa. I believe you are feeling the same way, si?

It was my first intuition that the IRG would not be interested in communicating. This ... Goeben... he was not mucho talkative either and did not want to chat much, rudely cutting me off from communications. Si... I was not impressed at all.

You see, Seniorita. I have a few questions about this. Why do they even want them so much back? You are telling me they want to threaten us by using these cells as bombs. Firstly, this shows my choice of action to be correct, as I confiscated dangerous unauthorized ammunition. Second, if they want to bomb us, that means they have mucho more of them in their stock. A few bombs gone missing is such a big deal to them? Thirdly, you are mistaken that they are not useful. We can use them as bombs too, and if they are unlocked, then we have enough power to do wonders!

It is therefore a mystery to me why they insist on having them back, as it looks to me they can always get more. From some reports i read, I know some groups they only allow several to have. And we have currently 13.

In addition, Seniorita Chavez, you must take me as some sort of patron? As much as I would love to help with some irrigation, do you really thing a power cell is needed to pump water? Seems like a waste, or perhaps you need it. I know that there are needs for other people of the Empire to use these cells too if they become unlocked. I was recently also contacted by another pretty Seniorita who runs Peutro Del Sol and she was interested in two as well.
You know... if we want to be serious about this, these power cells may be the key to having us Corsairs improve our lives so much! I rather be a patron for that, si?! Rather than giving it to this gringo.

Anyway, Seniorita, I am open to discuss this all with you. I regret that I do not even know you properly, and si... giving so many of these cells to some corsair seniorita stranger would be foolish of me, especially when you say you are good friends with this Hans gringo. You are very pretty, Seniorita, but charms cannot entice me to eagerly agree to this deal. Excuse me if I am unaware of you either, our Empire is quite big.

Thank you for the compliments, Señor, but I'd prefer if you treated me like the representative of the Chavez clan. Obviamente, I understand that you do not want to part with what you confiscated that easily. That's why I approached you in the first place.

First, you were perfectly right to confiscate the cargo. No one claims anything different, except IRG, whose words are nothing more than white noise. Their ships will be in our crosshairs soon enough.

Second, I cannot comment on the actions of Mr. Goeben during the confiscation process. I can just imagine that he was not very pleased about giving up cargo that the IRG claims is worth somewhere between 250,000,000 and 750,000,000 depending who you ask. I guess that is somewhat understandable.

Third, non. We have not been threatened directly, I think. IRG mentioned that these can be used as bombs. I would not want to sit on them at the moment as long as the IRG might have means of setting them off. It's more of a bad feeling than a real threat.

Fourth, I can confirm that the e-cells currently are completely useless to us. Completely. As long as they are not unlocked and activated, they are not much more than some item taking up space, and it could even be dangerous if the IRG can trigger them to self-destruct. Dangerous dead weight in our hands, that's not what I think we need.

Fifth, I think you misunderstand the scope of the irrigation project. It is huge and it will hopefully turn the Santa Estrella valley into a green valley that can significantly improve our food production. Perhaps next time we do not have to bury our family members in the next famine. So... this is far from "just some farmer stuff no one cares about", plus this project has been discussed by the Elders, so you should likely put your critizism towards them. The Chavez family decided to follow through with it. If you are clever, you position your familia in a way to profit from the development in Santa Estrella valley now that you know what is going to happen.

Sixth, the Seniorita who runs Peutro Del Sol asks for two energy cells, which likely should not be a problem. However, again, the IRG will never unlock them for us. Never, ever. Our only key to unlock the cells is the direct contact that only Ana Catalinia can establish.

So the deal I could think of is: we hand back a majority of cells to Senor Goeben, and in return he unlocks the ones we need for us secretly and helps us install them. This is - according to Ana - high tech material beyond our knowledge, so we would likely ruin it without external help. I understand that you do not want to part with the cells easily, so the Cavez family is willing to offer you the following compensation: 100.000.000 credits plus 6.000 square meters of land in Santa Estrella Valley on the secure claims of the Chavez familia - build yourself a nice villa or do whatever you like.

I understand you come from mucho wealthy familia. You speak of credits and land in this way of noble people as if it easy to throw around.
I see now why I have not heard of you and your familia before. We are of different classes and I really only am aware of some familias more than others, and most women from burdeles.

It is not every day I am contacted by high class people, and even less I get to argue with them:

I firstly do not agree the price range is these numbers. I know first hand they are worth even more. 925,000,000cr to be exact. This is from IRG themselves. To compare this to something we have, this is almost the same as two Murillos. Would you be willing to give away 2 Murillos so easily, seniorita?

Secondly, It is still not fully clear to me why they want these things fully back, and in addition, seriorita, bombs are useful to us in one way or another. I know the Hons gringo had told me to have fun with the bombs, and so if I cannot find mucho use for them in technological ways, I may have use of them in other ways.

Third, the power cells are being kept secured on a ship orbiting in Gamma. If the IRG do decide to blow them up... if they even can... then they wont do much devastation I would think.
But you know, seniorita, I can even call it bluff that they can blow them up remotely. I do not believe it as I think if they could have done it, they would have done it.

Now I am tired of counting all these points further for now, chika, but I can tell you that I am not fond of the deal you are proposing to me.
100 million is no bueno and 6000 square meters of land is laughable, considering the land TODAY is a waste dump. Even if it was not, you are only offering me about 77m in each direction of land for myself. Please, do not treat me like peasant with cheap comparable deals.

We will talk later about the deal. I will think about it over some marijuana, rum, and perhaps one or two acompañantes.

There is no shame in not being wealthy, but it would be a shame if you did not use an oportunidad to advance your family, don't you agree?

Honestenamente, I do not care what the IRG claims it is worth. At the moment - that's a fact - they are worth nothing because we can't use them. And I doubt you just want to throw them at something and hope they detonate because that's not how explosive ordinance works. An unarmed bomb does not detonate when dropped. You could as well take the same weight in concrete or a huge rock and drop it. Just that this rock or the concrete block is not holding a key to wealth, food security and improval of our stationary infrastructure.

We know what these cells can do and we want to use them. I think we agree there. Using them in the Santa Estrella Valley and in upgrading Puerto del Sol sounds like a good investment into a Corsair future for me, plus also sounds like a personal opportunity to advance.

I have to apologize about the number I mentioned. A correct number would be 300.000 square meters, that would be enough for a hacienda surrounded by agricultural land once the irrigation project turned the desert into farmable land.

Anyway, think about your demands, and let me know what you would like to part with the cells.

I have thought about the deal for some time and I have come to a decision to propose to you.
You're fully right in taking this oppertunity for us Pizzaros to advance, so here is my proposal:

- A payment of 300,000,000 SC to be wired to The.Inquisitor[TBH]
- 100 acers of the Santa Estrella Valley Land
- A 30% share of the Santa Estrella Valley.
- A marriage between our two families.
- 1 Cell to be unlocked for the Pizarro Familiy, (x) Cell(s) to be unlocked for the Santa Estrella Valley, 2 cells to be for Peurto de Sol unlocked. (the rest up to you)

You understand just as much as me what these cells are capable of doing, but as you say I am reluctant in giving them without something in return.
The money will give us a nice start in investing our land we are asking for, and the share will be 'encouragement' for us to help in development of the land. I am also requesting one of your beautiful sisters to marry my brother Diego. I know she will like him. He is a big, hairy muchacho who as a quite 'wealthy' figure and likes kids! As dowry and a gift from our family, we shall give in exchange for the bride a nice big, juicy swine. He will be mucho bueno delicious, si! Enough to feed your whole family.

I am surprised you still insist on experimenting with things that are beyond what you, me or most minds in the Corsair Nation can understand. Furthermore, attacking Freeport 11 seems to be not in the interest of anybody, as it would neither aid us, and only strengthen the Core. At least the Chavez familia is convinced that the NAP with the Core is just a tactical decision. They backstabbed Yaren. The Chavez family does not forget. We do not forgive.

This is the counteroffer:

1. 150 million credits. You know that fluent currency is hard to come by, 300 million is out of the question.
   
2. 100 acres (instead of the 74 that I offered) is acceptable.
   
3. 5 percent share of the project, which by the way is linked to severe risk. As a shareholder, you are invested into the project's success or failure.
   
4. Marriage between the Chavez clan and the Pizarro family is possible. Find a suitably aged male teenager in your family to marry 11-year-old Emilia Chavez once she reaches marriage age, which is 16 in my familia.
   
5. My connections cannot get more than 3 cells unlocked. All of these cells' uses have to be strictly civilian and not connected anywhere to anything violent. Santa Estrelly needs one. Puerto del Sol needs a source of power. Whatever happens with the last one, is none of my concern. However, you can never meet the scientist who does the unlocking. Furthermore, it cannot become officially known that you own one of these cells as it would contradict a promise that the scientist was given.
   

Furthermore, we have a problem: the Elders have noticed that there is some major trouble linked to these cells. They have already inquired details on what is going on and they are hell-bent on discussing and solving all of this in front of a Coursair Council of the Elders court session, it seems.

My suggestion is: We delay this a little, and come up with facts. As soon as the Chavez clan holds the cells and we also hold the scientist with the keys, things become a lot easier at the court. We would not want the Elders to crash all plans and decide to do something else with these cells.
