Good day, dear sir or madame.

My name is Clarissa Fairchild and I represent the Cold Lake Consortium, a joint venture by Ageira Technologies and Deep Space Engineering aimed at innovating in area of interstellar travel. We work to create the technology of long-range hyperspace jumps. As you might know, Ageira made a certain breakthrough just recently, which allowed DSE to complete building of the first Experimental Gate within Alberta system.

The next phase of the project is to build a remote end of the hyperspace bridge to make it actually work. The Consortium was created to facilitate this task. However, to truly demonstrate the full capability of the transportation technology we developed, the remote Gate must be placed outside the House of Liberty.

We carefully considered our options and decided to ask for you support in negotiations with Bretonian War Cabinet to get permission to build the second Gate in Bretonia. There are few reasons behind this choice. First of all, Bretonian systems lie within the range the Gate is projected to cover. Second, they are Liberty’s closest allies. Last but not the least, we understand that, given the developments on the Gallic front, backup route between the two Houses might be necessary to continue trade and maybe even provide robust military deployment.
