Quote:Profil von Kapitan Hanzel von Gort
Hanzel von Gort was born in the metropolitan city on the planet Hamburg.
He was the son of Karel von Gort and Helga Stahl.
His father was a high-ranking officer in the Rheinland Militar, a rank he had attained over his life-time of service.
Serving in the army was a family tradition Hanzel would soon follow.
And why wouldn't he? It was just something that you just do.
It is as normal as to care for your country as it is to care for your family.
Hanzel was so determined that he enlisted himself for Junioren training [which is a early preparation training for youth] in 805 A.S.
He threw everything he had at his training and would soon be the best of the best inside his squad.
Afterwards, he went to the real training in 807, which he passed with flying colors.
His father was most pleased, and arranged that his son would be onboard the gunboat he commanded, the RNC Amsterdam.
Eventually his father succumbed to alcoholism, which led to his dishonourable discharge.
As a oppurtinity to uphold his family reputation Hanzel von Gort was offered to take command.
The Militar obviously knew after all the generations before him that this family was gifted in a way not many families were.
Hanzel would offer to serve Rheinland for many years to come, and uphold his family legacy of born patriots.
Also has a secret crush on his Bestmann Gretyl Bauer.
Quote:Profil von Bestmann Gretyl Bauer
Gretyl Bauer came from a farmer family in.
She always was fond of her fatherland, and the Gottzkanzler - she even had a hologram of the Herr von aller Herrn on her wall.
She grow up living the rural life in a typical Bauer (farmer) family.
Things gotten worse for all farmers on Stuttgart after SynthFoods started buying up farms, yet her family managed to keep up a decent income, even though it wasn't much.
After a lot of her friends had joined the Militar, and Gretyl soon grew tired of seeing the same old crops everyday.
Gretyl decided on her 20th birthday that if she were ever to see more of the universe then she would have to enlist with the Rheinland Militar.
She was enlisted for training on 16 September 814 A.S.
During her training she proofed to be quite the marksman, and not a woman to be messed around with.
Eventually, she would come to serve aboard the Amsterdam as a boardgunner.
Quote:Profil von Doktor Flick Zhivago.
Flick Zhivago is an old man in his early sixties.
He was one of the last living bunk-buddies of Karel von Gort.
In his earlier years Zhivago flew in the Totes-eskader, which was the one of the most ruthless of fighter squadrons in Rheinland.
Death was a better alternative then to be captured by these men, as Zhivago proved.
Torture, sleep deprivation, manipulation - he did anything to make sure the enemies of the Vaterland would talk.
He also served the Rheinland Militar as a weapon-scientist, though he was eventually forced to resign after his weapon project CERBERUS MK-II backfired and flopped. He is still active as a interrogator onboard the Amsterdam, which gives Kaptan Hanzel an edge over the rest of the Militar concerning field-intelligence.

Kaptan Hanzel: One hell of a week, he, Gretyl? Bestmann Gretyl: One hell of week indeed. It definately beats the old patrols we had to do in Stuttgart... pff was that boring. Nothing ever happened there. Only the occasional Junkers pass there. And they don't even carry contraband! Kaptan Hanzel: Yeah, you got that right.. It's a good thing we established contact with the die harde Kern von die Rheiland Militar. They offered us a lot more exciting work. Bestmann Gretyl: Yeh... it's amazing.. I don't often go to the New Berlin system, being stuck on this old hunk-a-junk... I'm amazed we are of help at all. Kaptan Hanzel: Now now... this old hunk-a-junk has been in service for years, and has kept both my father as well as his father more then safe. Besides, it's ain't too bad here.. we got a spaceious cockpit, as well as enough room in our command lodges. Bestmann Gretyl: A good thing you command this ship... meine Kaptan... <looks shy at Hanzel:ylove:> Kaptan Hanzel: I wouldn't want to you to bunk in with the rest of those soldaten, you know what they are like... <A small laugh bursted:laugh:> Bestmann Gretyl: Anyhow, I'm tired... I am going to bed. Kaptan Hanzel: Yeh, me too. I'll be going too soon, just need to finish up the ship logs for this week. Bestmann Gretyl: Goodnight, Herr von Grt
<Bestmann Gretyl walks of to her lodge> Kaptan Hanzel: Oh yeh.. good ni- Hmpf, she's gone already...
"It's been some very fruitful days recently. I should get to write some shiplogs to make sure my vater knows about my accomplishments".

Quote:It all started out the day we got into contact with die Harde-Kern von die Militar*.
Life changed fast.
Here we were patrol Stuttgart and see the occasional Junker Congress vessel pass by... now we find ourselves in the middle of the Harde-Kern chasing all sorts of bad guys.
I mean, the first day we started tagging along with one of the [RM] named Karl Westerman... and we find ourselves chasing a Wilde Hessian named , whatever that may be...
It had a callsign on its shipcomms. Unforgiven, I wonder why *It* chose that word...
The chase was endless. We search everywhere. We even discovered a jumphole that could potentially lead to Hamburg. Because the Wild (maybe it means crazy?) person was sighted in Hamburg.
We continued our hunt. But during our hunt weird things were happening. We kept hearing voices yet there was noone there. Karl Westerman was muttering about that *It* was trying to control his mind...
I just don't get it! How can someting control your mind?!
Quote:"Doktor Flick said there were entities in this universe barely noone knows about. He seemed to know more about them, but he didn't share anything... maybe it's better if we don't know it. You can't be afraid of something you don't know, right?"
Luckily, Karl, being a very strong Militar managed to somehow resist whatever *It* was trying.
We eventually located the ship callsigned Unforgiven after a long system sweep in Hamburg and we managed to disable it. Still *The Voices* still hallowed in our minds.
And *They* will continue to haunt me and my men for a long time.

Bestmann Gretyl: Kapitan? I want to talk to you about something Kaptan Hanzel: Was ist Looss, Gretyl? Bestmann Gretyl: Do you have a moment? I'd like to talk to you about something... do you rememb- Kaptan Hanzel: Wait a second! We got an incoming transmission.
...incoming transmission... Comm ID: [RM] Viktor Blumberg
Heil Kaptan von derRNC Amsterdam! I need assistance, there's a Bundschuh terrorist attacking me. I need help!
Find me in the shadow of New Berlin, mach schnell!
Kaptan Hanzel: Guess it'll have to wait, Gretyl. Man your gun turret! Men, get to your stations! Bestmann Gretyl: Ja, mein Kaptan! Crewmember #1: Herr von Gort, we are ready to engage cruise!
<the Amsterdam engages its cruise engines>
Kaptan Hanzel to Viktor Blumberg: Sit rep! Viktor Blumberg: I'm taking heavy fire... be here quick, I won't hold out much longer! Kaptan Hanzel: Hold on! We're coming! We've brought some extra nanites and a few shield powercells so you will last the battle! Viktor Blumberg: Danke!
<the Amsterdam slowly encroaches into the battlefield>
VF)Finn Vollhart: Prepare to die... Viktor! Viktor Blumberg: Nooooo!
<the Amsterdam jumps into the fight and jettisons a few bats and bots>
<Viktor quickly tractors in the goods and utilises emergency repairs>
Viktor Blumberg: You got here just in time! Vieler dank! Kaptan Hanzel: Keine dank! Now shoot that criminal already! I will support you with pot shots and extra nanites if you need them!
Viktor had real trouble gunning him down. The Bundschuh was clearly a more experienced pilot. Things started to look grim when a Hessian appeared. Luckily another Militar showed up.
Hessian Pilot: Prepare to die, fascist dogs! [RM] Pilot #2: I've heard reports of a fight. Location? Kaptan Hanzel: Ja ja! Das shadow side of Planet New Berlin. Be quick, we got multiple bogeys!
<the Amsterdam continues shelling the hostiles while the dogfight continues>
Crewmember #2: Kaptan, open the airlocks, a new set of nanites are ready to be jettisoned to help herr Blumberg! Amsterdam Intercom: CARGO JETTISONED, SHIELDS: DEACTIVATED. Kaptan Hanzel: Viktor quickly take these rations! Viktor Blumberg: You owe my thanks. Without you I wouldn't survive this!
At this time there's a dogfight between 4 fighters. We could only do so much to help as our guns are ineffective. Then suddenly the RNC ******* Rheinland Cruiser started interfering.
RNC-[censored]: I kill! Kaptan Hanzel: Stand down, Kaptan von die [censored]. Your ship ain't needed here! It will only put our boys in danger.
The Cruiser Kaptan totally ignores our repeated requests.
Eventually the Hessian perished and the Bundschuh made a run for it...
Kaptan Hanzel: Good show, Militar. Viktor Blumberg: Danke for your support Hanzel. We will keep in touch. Auf Wiedersehen. Kaptan Hanzel: Auf wiedersehen, Herr Blumberg.
Kaptan Hanzel: Good job manner. You did well! Bestmann Gretyl: No no, Kaptan, WE did well!
<Crewmembers cheer>

Later that day...
SHIP LOKATION: Battleship Straussberg, New Berlin
DATUM: 12-13-816
Crew member #3: Kommandant Hanzel, we have received a message.
<Crew member hands over a print-out of the transmission.>
Comm ID: [RM] Isolde Jaeger
Heil RNC Amsterdam! I will be doing some missions in name of the High Command in Omega-15. Care to come along and help? It can get pretty rough out there, and seeing you're the only one's in the region I thought I'd ask you to come... I've heard all about you on report from other Militar.
Oh, and I'll share the reward, and I'll make you get credited to accordingly.
Meet me at the Brandenburg Border Station.
<Gretyl comes walking out of her deck, you could see she's been sleeping, her eyes are pretty much shut.>
Bestmann Gretyl: Official missions? In Omega-15? Hmmmmm. Kaptan Hanzel: Think about it. This could be our time to make ourselves known. My father would be proud!
Hanzel's eyes sparkled at the thought of that. Bestmann Gretyl: Well, I have never been there before... she did say it's dangerous. But what the heck. No one ever said it was going to be easy! I'm with you Kaptan! Kaptan Hanzel: If we succeed, we might impress die Harde-Kern. Besides we gotta serve our Vaterland! FUR DIE VATERLAND! Bestmann Gretyl: FUR DIE GOTTKANZLER!
<The crew repeat the same words as if it were a battleroar.>
Kaptan Hanzel: Now then, let's get going, Leuten!
Crew: Ja!
Crew member 4: Kaptan Hanzel, the ship has been fully resupplied and is ready for take off! Kaptan Hanzel: Fantastik! Prepare yourself, we're going to launch!
<the Amsterdam detaches from Battleship Straussberg>
Battleship Straussberg: Everything's go for a launch, good luck out there! Kaptan Hanzel: Danke sehr, Straussberg, we'll see you around, be safe!
Battleship Straussberg: Ja ja. We can't wait for good news on your missions in Omega-15. May the Kanzler's grace embrace you all!
<the Amsterdam engages it's cruise engine and flies to the tradelane that leads to Brandenburg Border Station>
Isolde Jaeger: I'm glad you showed up, Kaptan. Kaptan Hanzel: The name's Hanzel von Gort, but use Hanzel, please. Isolde Jaeger: Very well Herr von Gort... errr- I mean Hanzel.
Doktor Flick: That's cold hard discipline for you, haha. Isolde Jaeger: Anyhow, let's be on our way. Bestmann Gretyl: Hold your horses. What about a briefing, Frau Jaeger? What are we up against. Isolde Jaeger: Omega-15 has became pirate infested. Hessians and Corsairs roam freely there. Expect heavy resistance. Bestmann Gretyl: Good thing you brought me along then. I'll make quick work of them, haha! Kaptan Hanzel: Show-off. <Hanzel laughs:laugh:> Isolde Jaeger: Errr... okay... either way, let's be on our way. Let us see if you can walk the talk. <laughs sarcastically>
And so they started moving. Isolde, flying a Wrath, formed up on the rusty old, yet strong old Amsterdam.
Dresden wasn't far, merely one tradelane away from Brandenburg.
When they got there it would only be a few tradelanes till they would find the Omega-15 jumphole.
After jumping to Omega-15, they found themselves in a barren system.
Not much there... at all.
Bestmann Gretyl: Is this ...it? This plays is practically dead! Isolde Jaeger: Just remember this is a borderworld... just because you don't see any tradelanes and civilian transports flying around doesn't mean the place is dead.
You'll soon find out, anyway...
