Triple Hazard Pay, Inc. Transport "Badlands Ranger"
2230 ship's time, Detroit Debris Field
"Oh look, we're almost there." Deployment has commenced in earnest for the highly risky free-floating construction of a Bustard from downloaded specs. With literal scrap metal being pulled together to make up portions of the chassis, a large sum of materials can be avoided; the Nodtviet is never intended to enter planetary atmosphere, avoiding the single greatest obstacle to ship design.
"We've erected the basic skeleton over there, as you can see." The ship deploys the team of dedicated engineers, intent on picking them up in a few hours. The Repair Ship shared amongst the THP senior staff Lucky Break is furthermore on scene with heavier dedicated repair equipment, that with a few "encouragements" can also be set to ship construction, albeit very slowly, relatively speaking.
I can't wait for this baby to be fully operational. It will be glorious.

"All is proceeding as I have foreseen." The fleet has deployed and the Lucky Break has been relieved twice.
"All right, we're dropping off another pile of goodies for the engineering team." The ship calmly offloads its cargo at the construction site, which after a month of effort is now a proper bloody Bustard shape, with some pressurization. Having no internal power or anything resembling advanced technology, only the presence of THP guns have kept it from being hauled off as scrap. However, today marks the commencement of a proper frame for the ship.
I can't wait for my own customized ship coming off the Nodtviet's line. It'll be awesome.
