Realistically balance would need to be thrown out of the window too for that. A guardian should easily be able to wipe out one to three rogues.
We recently held Texas for an hour and faced no opposition because our numbers were too big. That's not realistic at all.
Today I held a Redemption and a Dunkirk out of battle because I was handling a Murmillo, with my Dunkirk, in a fair duel. I won, but at a terrible cost to my ship's structure, which could have been none if the whole fleet engaged. How would you, inRP, explain doing this every time you find an enemy but have a considerably bigger fleet?
Nothing will change in ganks. People hate to lose, so to be sure they don't die, they bring Battleships, crusiers, gunboats and more, even for a snub fight (1v1).
I have no problem with either ganking, nor being ganked. If you want a 1v1 fight, go to conn.
Can you imagine a pilot back in the Battle of Britain saying "everyone else stop shooting -it's just that guy and I?" In Desert Storm, did the coalition say "they're outnumbered here - let's leave our planes on the ground?"

That's also how you make the community angry at you. If you want to have fun for everyone, give everyone a chance instead of ganking, RP or not. No need to be a dick because it's more realistic.
