Sender: Général Jean Yves Patrice de Justéton Recipient: The Rheinland Bundestag
Bonjour mes dames et messieurs, the government of Rheinland.
Je suis Yean Yves Patrice de Justéton, nobleman de Kingdom of Gallia, général de Marine Royale Gauloise, captaine de R.N.S. Ressentiment.
Aswell, I am the representative of the Marine Royale Gauloise and the interests of the Kingdom.
The strength of the Republik of Rheinland has brought word even to the other side of Sirius, to our prosperous Kingdom.
Though our nations are far from each, the modern ways of traveling will bring us together, maybe sooner then expectable.
Both our nations have one thing in common. Tough wars which damaged our wealth, hindered our economy to flow, leaving back many poor and unemployed citizens.
Hereby, la Marine Royale Gauloise offers interhouse trade agreements to expand our relations and enlarge our wealth. Already now convoys of companies of your nation, such as ALG are entering gallic space for trade.
We would like to take the opportunity to offer the same in return. We have heard of the munitions and equipment that your organisations and companies produce - something that would potentially aid our war effort and our stockpiles for our foreign legion.
The Marine Royale Gauloise would request permission to establish military convoys, with a maximum of two escorts per convoy, to enter the Republic of Rheinland and purchase these military materials from the Republic.
In exchange, we will be able to ship certain materials to your borders as well, depending on your current needs, or an additional form of payment for the duration of procurement, should it be necessary to encourage trade between the Houses.
Moi, et la nation gauloise is awaiting Rheinlands response.
Sincèrement
de Justéton, Jean Yves Patrice

Herr Yves Patrice de Justéton, I am Admiral Driedrik Sterr.
While your offer is most generous, I believe the image you portray of Rheinland and its people is all but outdated. What was depleted has been restocked, and the economy of this nation thrives and grows by the day once again thanks to the relentless tenacity of our people.
That being said, even I as a man of arms can understand that your proposal implies many things other than simple trade. You surely understand that if the Bundestag was to support the war efforts of your nation against our neighbours, it could and possibly would be considered as an act of war and a direct attack against the Kingdom of Bretonia and the Republic of Liberty.
I believe you are familiar with the laws of the Federal Republic of Rheinland, which include the disallowance of foreign military vessels and trade of light arms, military vehicles, munitions and nuclear devices trade for non Rheinland affiliated companies. Transports of gallic origin regardless of their affiliation will be allowed in Rheinland and treated as civilians by our military, as they already are, and we encourage you to hire our companies for the time being if you wish to engage in trade for the aforementioned goods, with each request being looked upon by the Bundestag and or the Rheinwehr if need be.
For the time being, I am afraid I cannot grant freeway for military vessels in service of the Gallic Crown anywhere in Rheinland for the time being as per the law other than for diplomatic purposes and with prior notice, nor can I allow for your captains to purchase goods whose hauling is otherwise exclusive to Rheinland companies, a list which you can find here. However I shall forward the request for exceptions in our law to be made in your name and before the Bundestag and speak in behalf of your case for the betterment of both our nations.
