//DO NOT POST HERE PLEASE. This is a story that will be coming in parts, like every other here. It is directly related to a my two characters piloting Silent.Night.
It was a quiet night on New Berlin. The snow was falling silently. Thousands of white snow flakes were falling around a dark figure standing in the snow, observing the lights of the nearby town. The person was wearing a long black hood. His name was Leo. He was a mercenary, working for who ever paid the best, and he currently had a job to do. The figure started moving fast but without a sound, heading towards the town, leaving his footsteps in the snow. He was walking down the wooden path, in a great hurry. He took a turn from the path, into the woods, heading away from the city. There was no path to where he was going. After thirty minutes of walking he stopped, in a small opening between the trees. He lowered his sight towards a metal construction on the ground. It was a hatch. There was no snow on it so Leo concluded someone must have opened recently. He crouched and cleaned the thin layer of fallen snow. He found a little console with ten digits. He entered a code he was given and the hatch released the locks and opened slowly. Leo walked down the small stairs, into the underground.
A bright light blinded him for a second, but he quickly recovered. He found himself in a corridor, with a single door at the end. He headed towards it, looking at the metal plates that made the walls. When he got to them, he reached for a catch, but there wasnt one. He didnt know what to do now. He looked over his shoulder to the end of the corridor where he came from. The door suddenly opened, letting him enter a small room with a single chair and another door on the opposite side of the ones he just came from.
-Sit on the chair please. A female voice said.
Leo looked around and noticed a camera and a small speaker in every corner of the room. Door behind him shut just as they opened. Leo carefully approached the chair and sat down.
-Your name please. Said the voice again.
-Leo. He replied.
-Anything else besides Leo? The voice asked.
-Leo Leonardo The Third.
-Please stand by. The voice said.
Leo sat there for a few minutes, thinking. He was looking at the shiny metal walls. As he was thinking, the doors in front of him opened, and the voice said.
-Please proceed to room 017.
Leo stood up, and looked through the newly opened door. Again he saw a corridor, but with numerous doors along the each side. After a short walk he found the room 017 and entered it. It was a small room, with no more then two cubic meters. As he was looking around, the door behind him closed. As he was trying to figure it out, he felt that the room started moving. He couldnt figure the way or the pattern of the rooms movement. In a minute or two the door opened. It was no longer leading to the corridor Leo came from. He was looking at a dark room, and a large office desk in front of him. Only source of light in a room was a large aquarium behind the desk. He could see a shape of a man sitting at the table, illuminated by the aquarium lights.
-Sit down. The man said. I see you like secrecy. He said looking at Leos hood.
-Just like you, it would appear. Leo replied.
The man smiled and continued.
-My name is Fridrich von Hadler. I called you here because I need you to do something for me. He said.
-Im listening.
-As you already know, the war rages between Kusari and Bretonia.
Leo nodded, and Fridrich continued.
-The situation does not look like it is soon to change. We Rheinlanders have certain data, one that might just help wage the war, so we need it transferred to Kusari. Fridrich explained.
-Why dont you send the data yourselves. Leo asked.
-We cant get connected to it. Fridrich simply replied.
-I understand.
-Excellent, lets get started then. This is what you must do
Fridrich explained Leo what to do, who to give the data to and where. Once everything was agreed, Leo stood up, and so did Fridrich. Fridrich stretched his arm towards Leo to shake with him, but on his surprise, Leo just looked down at his hand, but didnt take it. Fridrich placed his arm back beside his body. Leo turned around, and headed for the exit. Fridrich looked at his back and asked.
-What are you hiding under that hood?
Leo stopped, but he didnt turn around. He just turned his head a bit to the left, and then he turned it back towards the doors and went through. As Fridrich looked at Leo leave, he could have sworn he saw a top of gray tail under Leos hood.
Leo returned to the wooden path, and headed back the way he came. The snow was still falling, but light was on the horizon. The dawn was coming. He arrived to the old military hangar, where his ship was landed. He entered and sat in the pilot chair, to rest a bit. After a couple of minutes he heard a noise behind him and turned around.
-Morning Aeris. He said.
-*yawn* Morning Leo. She replied. Back already?
-Apparently. Leo smiled.
-Dont get smart on me She said. So, what is it this time?
-We need to transfer some data to Kusari, but we cant go through Sigma 13. I doubt the miners would welcome us back after we snatched 6 of their Skyblasts.
-Where does that leave us, Bretonia?
-Or Liberty, but we arent welcome there either.
-Dont you think Bretonians will try to stop us from smuggling military data to Kusari?
-Well, they dont know we have it, so it shouldnt be a problem.
-When do we leave?
-Well, we can go after breakfast, if its okay with you.
She asked him few more questions, and he explained her everything. After breakfast, they took off. With few problems on the way, including some nasty tempered Hessians, They arrived to Omega 7, ti Independent Miners Guild base Freistadt.
-We must stop here. I need some tools and additional metals and minerals for engineering. And the ship could use a H-Fuel refill. Aeris said.
-Okay, let me dock. Comms opened, Freistadt, this is Silent Night, requesting
They docked. The base was large, made of gray and white colored metal plates. Lights were everywhere. They put on their hoods, exited the ship and looked around. There was a lot of ships in the docking bay.
-Ill go to the commodity and equipment dealers. You can get a drink in the bar. Aeris said. -Ill join you when I finish with shopping.
-Okay. Ill wait for you there. Leo replied.
Leo went to the bar, and Aeris headed to the shop area. She passed a few corridors and exchanged couple of elevators, and finally got to the commodity shop. She went inside.
The dealer approached her.
-Good day, how may I help you?
-Greetings. She said. I need the things from this list.
Aeirs handed a data pad to the dealer. He read it, and stated that he has everything except the two needed tools, and that she will have to stations equipment dealer about them.
-Very good. Transfer the stuff to hangar, bay 3. My ship is there. Aeris said. Now can you tell me how to get to equipment dealer?
-Certainly, just go left after
Once she got directions, she headed there. After buying the remaining two tools she went to the bar to find Leo. She found him there, drinking a white liquid.
-Milk? She smiled.
-Ah, thats the good stuff He replied.
-Whatever you say Bar men, Ill have a scotch.
-Coming right up. Bar men replied.
Once they were done, they went back to the hangar, got the stuff into the ship, and decided to get some sleep before they get on their way.
