Representatives of the addressed parties,
my name is Shook, the representatives of the Hellfire Legion have already established contact with me in Liberty, New York, to be precise. I have waited for some time to contact you directly, since I was on a self-probation for the whole week. The reason for this is what the subject states. Compensation. But for what? Well, I am not a Legionnaire you can find representing the Hellfire Legion the way others do. I was a fugitive not long ago, not from the Navy, but from the Core. I lost a lot of things, a lot of chances and successes and a very good future. A friend of mine who was operating under your banners here in Liberty provided me with shelter and eventually with a chance to join your ranks. I accepted the offer with mixed thoughts, I am not a person of favors. So I promised to pay the favor back, I didn't get anything other than a ship, weapons and the identifications. I wanted to prove my worth and I did so by executing a lot of the Legion's enemies, I hope you will like what you see and that it is a fair compensation.

I'll start off by stating that Task Force Gladius' past actions ensured such an extremely oriented group within the Legion simply couldn't carry on. While I do approve of striking first when one is certain of the consequences and the real enemy, there must always be limitations. Absolute freedom is oppression by another name. I'll skip past the ideological ranting, that's not what you contacted us for.
I'm a former Knight of the Core myself, and I've done things and abetted various crimes I'm both never going to forget or truly make up for. I don't know what it is you did that you feel you have to make up for. But trust me when I say that I understand and you aren't being judged under a scope of prejudice for it. I don't care where our Legionnaires come from or what they were, only what they'll be and I need no compensation to act like that, though I am of course coloured impressed by that list of obliterated Republic vessels.
You've proven your mettle as a Legionnaire, but more so than being capable. I need to know what you intend to become. So tell me, what do you see yourself as?

what I intend to become? I don't know, my chances were crushed as the selection of Guildmaster Frostbite chose to send me away from his forces. It happened without any expectation and came out of the blue. Until yesterday I saw myself as a sword, now not anymore. The favor has been compensated and my perspectives have shrunken once more. I don't know what is to happen now myself, perhaps I need to find a new source of motivation. Something to work for, I've had that all my life and this is the first time I don't.

I've had a very large change of perspective since we last spoke. We all need something to work for and to associate a sense of accomplishment to. I'll give you one again. And I swear it with every ounce of integrity I still have left, you won't be tossed aside like a disposable asset ever again. Move yourself to Monterrey and reach out to us.
