Greetings honourable Daimyo,
I am writing to inform you of an event that occurred recently. Liberty Capital Vessel 3rd|LNS-Enterprise, Piloted by Cpt, Gardner was intercepted in Honshu heading to the New Tokyo Jumphole, this Carrier class vessel was very imposing against my lone bomber. Luckily for me, this behemoth was willing to leave our space peacefully, not one shot fired at all, well from him anyway. It turns out that the vessel had no intention of visiting our space and ended up here by being extremely unlucky. I offered to escort him out of our space and he accepted. On route were engaged and pursued by a KDS Destroyer. I tried multiple times to delay the KDS vessel but my attempts were futile and they were catching up to the retreating LNS vessel. I was left with no other opportunity to engage the Destroyer I kept the pilot busy until the convoy could escape, after a short skirmish I pulled back an there were no losses. Prof.Nerva was already on the scene before I had even detected the vessel and spoke on behalf on the Cpt whilst his communications were being repaired. Now, I don't know much about science, or nomads but you'll want to hear what he has to say.

Good work,
Regardless of the reason the vessel had to be in our space, it was brave of you to not only approach the Liberty carrier but to also engage the KDS Carrier alone with no nearby support. The existence of this increased capital presence within Kusari home space has lead me to think that our patrol forces should not only be more frequent but also more heavily armed. Now, pilot. You have mentioned nomads and next to nothing else, I hope that Prof.Nerva can provide some clarity on this particularly on the input he believes the nomads had on the situation.

Watashi no namae wa Regis Nerva desu.

私はこの悲惨な状況に直面している間に、あなたの組織が提供したすべての援助に感謝したいと思います。
I am sure you are well aware of the danger that is represented by the Nomads. It seems that certain Nomad factions, have developed a new type of jump drive.
Their current technology not only allows them to jump faster, but now they can abduct ships that are in close proximity to their ship. Personally, I've seen it happen twice until now.
Coming back to Liberty Capital Vessel 3rd|LNS-Enterprise, it wasn't "jumped" once, but two consecutive times. They were fist "jumped" from New York to Shikoku. and then from Shikoku to Omicron-Delta(we think), I found them in Omicro-Kappa.
I hope I am wrong, but i think we are going to see an increase in nomad activity and nomad abduction. They seem to target bigger ships in order to take them out of combat as fast as possible.
For now, please transmit to your forces(especially to your bigger ships) that if they see a Nomad Vessel charging straight towards them ignoring any of the other ships, to launch everything they have against it.
Unfortunately, Nomad ships are extremely agile. I would advise not sending send any bigger ships alone in patrols, keep one or two fighters around them at all time.
I will describe in detail the whole journey from Omicron-Kappa to Galileo in my next transmission. My current position hinders my communication systems.

P.S. Please excuse my Japanese skills, it has been years since I have last used them.

Dear Prof.Nerva,
Thank you for getting back to me. These new jump drives seem like a great danger and opportunity if we were able to uncover one of these "New types of jump drives" then perhaps we might re-engineer them to our use. I assume you are familiar with these sorts of sciences how complex do you expect this device to be and furthermore how difficult would be it to obtain one fully intact?
I think that the chances of acquiring such a device are really slim. We are all familiar with with the speed and maneuverability of Nomad ships.
My opinion is that, at least for now, we should focus on trying to improve the current jump drives that are available for us.

Dear Prof.Nerva,
I understand. I have assigned Yatoji Augus to your operation, he is one of our science operatives and he can requisition resources if required.
*Enter Yatoji Augus*
He will be leading the support the Tears of Izanagi can provide you in this matter and as long as we agree to share our results with each other there isn't much we can't provide.

Greetings, Professor.
Just as Daimyo Kijima introduced me I am one of his advisors in these matters;
Having read over your communications thus far I personally belive it might it still be worthwhile to venture into the Omicrons in attempt to discover such a device even if we couldn't reverse engineer it and improve the jump drives that we have currently we may be able to see if we could prevent this from happening further.
Especially if our enemies adopt this technology as part of their battle tactics our small fleets would struggle in engagements, being that having a Togo potentially teleported halfway across Sirius would definitely make a massive blow against our pilot's morale in a skirmish.
I understand the implications of testing such a device to be... Troublesome, but it could be of benefit to the whole of Sirius should we decide to share this information. Especially for us and our allies in The Order.
I believe testing such a device would be quite troublesome. Fortunately, with recent robotics advancements it shouldn't be hard to control a ship from a safe distance. There is a high change that we will lose some ships, but the potential discoveries can help the entire Sirius System.
An Omicron incursion would be possible, and we might be lucky to find some additional information. I must admit that although I spend most of my time in the Omicrons, I am by no means a military man. Nevertheless, what I can assure you of is that we will need all the help we can possibly get.
Would it be possible to set up a meeting? I would be easier to discuss the details face to face.
Regards,
Nerva
P.S. Also after the LNS fiasco, some sake and sushi would really help.

Indeed, testing such a device would be possible but recovery of the test vessel would be the main hinderance, especially if it had found it's way into a planet...
In regards to meeting I have an outpost available to me where we could discuss this over a drink if you wish.
It would be great to meet you in person instead of questioning you in trade lanes for a change, though I will ask that you come alone as Daimyo Kijima has requested that it's location remains secret. Not even our new recruits know of it's location.
I am currently in the Dresden system. We can rendez-vous in Sigma-13; from here you can escort me to your location.
I believe this course of action will help ensure that I was not followed. Furthermore it will also help should any third parties decide to engage my ship.
