**OOC** I tried to make this post more open-ended and therefore more RP-like so other people can post if they wish to. The reason for this is that some people have asked me while I was using my Yamato character as to why he is floating around Kyushu when he is supposed to be dead/missing.
"Konichiwa and good evening," says a gray-haired anchorman, straightening his tie before pointing a large viewscreen behind him. "This is Kanagi Kasuki for the Kusari Broadcasting Station on Channel 9. Coming up soon are our reports on the latest battle between our glorious Navy and the savage Bretonians, our insider information on education reforms, and our interplanetary weather broadbast. But right now," says the man with a grin, "we bring you live action at Planet Kyushu as police and military units are in a joint operation to arrest known criminal, Eiyuu Yamato."
Taking a brief glance at this notecards, the man continued. Opportunities like these were great. They boosted viewer ratings and made the government happy with free propaganda. "Eiyuu Yamato, originally thought to be killed in a recent action against combined Warriors of Aesir and Naval Forces, is apparently still alive and is in hiding on the outskirts of Kyushu. We got our tip from an anonymous patriot."
"Eiyuu Yamato is a known pirate and terrorist, believed to be responsible for the demolition of the Nanta Outpost in 2002.5 as well as the more recent sabotage of our mighty Battleship KNS Nagumo. He is believed to be traveling with a Bretonian Navy veteran named Billian Earmshew Sr." The man paused, at the name, realizing that it had been probably misspelled.
Another man briefly walked on screen and handed him a set of papers. "This just in. Police units report that they have reached the area and set up a perimeter. Sniper units are in place and heavy military soldiers, artillery, and aircraft are in the area. Our New Helocopert Unit #1 is also present. Switching to Helo Cam."
The screen suddenly switched to a camera onboard a helocopter, whose rotors were drowning out most of the pilot's words.
"Well Kanagi, looks like the tanks are rolling in with the shock troopers. We're moving in for a closer look. The first police units are in position and have broken into the first buildings. These guys are the experts, the top urban warfare troopers than Kusari has to offer. I expect we'll have that criminal in no time." The copilot shouted something inaudible to the pilot, who subsequently announced, "One of our reporters, Saya Nomoinu, has reached the area and is traveling with Police Unit #2, Blue Team. Switching to you, Saya."
The screen changed again, this time to a woman trying to tug a police trooper outfit over her kimono. "Thanks Poiji. Well, everything seems to quiet so far and it's possible that Yamato isn't even here but our team is now moving into the next intersection where we will rendevous with the Army's tanks and mechanized infantry units."
Suddenly, the sounds of gunfire erupted in the distance and Saya signaled to her crew to move towards it. In the din, voices were heard frantically shouting to one another followed by blood-curdling screams. The rattle of machine gun fire and rocket launchers enveloped the area. As Saya's crew neared, the voices became clearer.
"Shoot him, Red Team, take him down." The fire was more of a trickle now, with only a few troops able to put out a few rounds. A quick procession of footsteps was heard and a slashing noise, as two soldiers collapsed, drowning in the blood coming from their throats.
Saya arrived just in time to capture this on film. "Oh my Eris..." A man in a metallic exosuit was methodically slicing apart the police troops amid a bloody ground with a long, deadly katana. Just then, a fresh unit of soldiers, this time with heavy weapons, arrived on scene and pumped several rounds right into the forhead of the man, who collapsed to the ground.
"Disposal Team Alpha, secure the target. It's over." The commander turned his back and ordered the troops to move out. That was a fatal mistake. As soon as the disposal unit neared the body, it came back to life and in a swift motion, decaptitated all five of the troopers. Within seconds, the commander had been impaled along with the rest of his squad. The tanks and heavy infantry turned around and began firing their destructive weaponry, peppering the area with deadly shrapnel and laser beams. Saya screamed.
In the massive dust cloud that had risen, Saya could heard the sound of metal grinding against metal and heavy machinery collapsing with a ground shattering boom. As the noise quieted, the dust cleared and Saya saw the man, now drenched in blood, standing amidst fallen soldiers. The blood was not his.
The viewers of KBS 9 watched transfixed in horror. Saya, in a state of panic, pulled out a small automatic pistol and pointed it at the man as he walked closer. "I'm not going to hurt yo--," but he was cut off by the sounds of a clip being emptied in rapid succession. A look of sadness spread across the man's face momentarily; he did not want to hurt people. It was stupid actions like this that forced him to.
There was a scream and suddenly the camera screen was coating a layer of dripping blood. The cameraman's wimpering could be heard.
"Point it at me," the man commanded politely, but the cameraman was too frightened to move. In disgust, the man grabbed the camera himself and pointed it at himself after wiping the lens clean of blood. After messing with a few buttons and settings, he pointed it at himself again. It was now broadcasting to every viewscreen in Kusari. At a separate station, the anchorwoman of channel 52 jumped in surprise when her story suddenly changed into the face of an armoured man.
"Citizens of Kusari, I am not a terrorist. My actions are done simply in self-defense, though I'm sure your government wishes you to believe otherwise. This reminds of in fact, of an ancient Earth film, V for Vendetta I believe... you all ought to watch it." Changing his tone, the man looked towards the sky befor continuing. "My friends and brethren, members of the Blood Dragons, we have been betrayed. Someone has fallen from honour and is actively aiding the Kusari government. Rest assured, I will rip that person to shreds myself. I must vacate this system quickly, as it is no longer safe for me here, but I cannot say where I will be going. Only that I will be joining General Nakazawa in hiding. Do not fail our people."
With that, the camera fell to the ground and the man walked off into the distance. The camera picked up his voice barely as he spoke into a headset, "Earnshaw, did I give you enough time to get your ship?"
The whole of Kusari stared in disbelief. According to the KBS, those were their best trained urban warriors, felled by a single man. The thought struck fear in their hearts.

After the initial stage of panic passed over, Kusari officials frantically waged a war against the media in a attempt to censor the gory broadcast reverberating through the airwaves. The Kusari government was in a state of chaos, hindered by excessive bureaucrats and red tape.
The only effective measure undertaken was the mobilization of the entire Hokkaido 2nd Squadron, which was dispatched with two battleship groups to impede any escape from the Kyushu system.
Elsewhere, in an underground facility on New Tokyo which officially did not exist, the staff and government agents of Unit 450i milled over a series of papers, maps, and diagrams covered in symbols and lines. Illuminated by only one central light fixture, the room was shrouded in an unnerving darkness.
"Where do you think he'll go?" asked one man in a calm, inhuman voice.
"Either Tau 29 or 31 seems logical... but we can never been certain with one like him."
A third added, "The probability of the subject fleeing back to Kusari space seems highly unlikely. Even he would not be so irrational."
A door, invisible in the darkness of the room, suddenly opened allowing for a sudden expanse of light to filter in the room. The men inside winced, their eyes accustomed to the dark. A Kusari Army officer walked in and silently handed over a portfolio to the first man, who was quite clearly the highest ranking of the three.
"Are these the files?"
The officer nodded and excused himself, closing the door on his way out. The room was dark once more.
"These pictures were obtained from the video footage that was broadcast. We have added them to the profile archives and are having our experts analyze them for any information that may prove useful."
"Good," said the first man. "Hakkaido's 1st Fleet, 2nd Extermination Squadron has been assigned to find and subdue the subject. Though it is doubtful that they will be successful."
The three men seemed agitated. "He has been a trouble to us for far too long. We must stop him before he flees to Bretonia. What other measures have been taken?"
"Well," the second man said quietly, "we have relisted him as one of the top fugitives in Kusari, alongside General Nakazawa. Although we already have Nakazawa in custody, sometimes it is best to give the public a scare. They will be more willing... to submit to our authority."
The third added, "we have also limited access to and from Kusari systems. Unfortunately, there is little we can do about the Bretonian border, due to our untimely conflict with the savages."
Angrily, the first man slammed his fist onto the table. "This is not enough. We cannot allow him to escape. You leave me no choice but to execute Order X777."
"But sir, it is not ready. She cannot be deployed until we have integrated--"
"Then, Tokei-Tai General, I recommend you do everything in your power to ensure that she is ready for deployment. Or it will be your head on the line when Yamato escapes."
"Yes, sir," said the second man in defeat. He motioned toward the third, whispering, "Contact Unit 450b. Authorize immediately neural transplant and initiate downloading of combat training programs 003-245. Skip the second development stage. Do whatever you have to but make sure it is ready for action." He quickly added, "Just remember, we need Yamato alive."
Uneasily, the third man nodded and left the room, temporarily bathing it in light.
The first man, calm as ever, absently gestured to the door in reference to the third man and muttered, "When he has finished his orders, kill him. No one can know of this." With that, he also exited the room, leaving the second man quivering in his seat.

The sounds of police sirens broke the calm typical of a tropical Kusari night. The wind blew softly amongst the trees ominously as a police hovercruiser slowed to halt, giving off a soft pulsating noise as its generators hummed. Two elite Kusari officers stepped out of the vehicle and drew their handguns, cocking the pistols. Using their large size, they formed a human shield for a small man, who just clambered out of the car. He too was armed, but mostly hidden beneath the shiny armor of his police escorts.
"TKT Lieutenant," he whispered quietly, so as not to create any noise. "What is the hour?"
"Nearly midnight. They should be here any moment, Tokei-Tai General, sir," said one policeman in a gruff voice. "Their messenger will have the codes."
"Alright," he replied, again a whisper. He shivered suddenly. The night had just gotten colder.
A bang suddenly shattered the silence. "TKT Lieutenant, what was that?" asked the started general.
"I'm not sure," replied the gruff lieutenant. "Corporal Saiso, did you see anything?" Saiso did not respond, standing still with his gun in defensive position.
"Saiso!" commanded the lieutenant, slightly louder before shaking his companion. A sticky red fluid began running down the corporal's shiny armor. Saiso had a blank stare, and a charred entry would right between his eyes.
"What the... General, get down!" In the time it took the lieutenant to realize what had happened, a hidden sniper expertly reloaded his high-powered rifle and took aim, putting an explosive tipped round right into the lieutenant's neck, which exploded, decapitating the man.
"Dear Eris!" whimpered the general who randomly fired a few shots at the nearby buildings before leaping into the cruiser and driving off, staring backwards in fear. In his haste, the general failed to watch his driving, and the policecruiser hurtled off a small cliff into the expansive ocean that covered the planet's surface.
"Mission accomplished," said a voice as a radio responded a staticy reply, "Excellent. Return to base for debriefing."

On New Tokyo, a man walked down a hall in a secret facility built into one of the few mountains on the planet. He was trailed by two scientists, each wearing stainless, white labcoats with folders of documents and files in their hands. Neither were very high in the hierarchy of Unit 450, and saw this as an opportunity to earn a promotion.
The trio paused momentarily, revealing the man for the first time. He wore a crisp black suit, a black shirt, and a black tie, which when put together seemed to make him fade into the darkness. Perhaps that was the intent.
Seeing the man pause, one of the scientists quickly offered the directions.
"Silence, you pathetic excuse for a scientist," commanded the man menacingly. "You think that I do not know my way around this facility?! My men designed it. I am listening."
The two scientists, unable to hear anything, wanted to ask what he was listening for, but restrained themselves, fearing his reaction. But the man heard it. Almost inaudible, but still present. It was the sound of screams and pain and suffering. The man grinned.
Chuckling loudly, much to the puzzlement of the scientists, the man continued walking down the barren hall, making twisty turns every so often until he reached a large vault, labeled with a plaque, "The X Project". Again the two scientists stepped forward, to place their fingerprints and do retina scans in order to enter, but the man pushed them aside.
"Sir, you need two people with clearance to--" but much to their surprise, the door clicked in recognition and opened, whlie a robotic voice announced, "access granted".
"Sir, if you don't mind me asking, how deep do you go?" asked the second scientist, speaking for the first time.
"I do mind," was the man's reply.
Seeing his irritation, the two scientists immediately tried to impress the man, leading him to one of the rooms containing one of their prototype weapons, tagged as X102. Moderately interested, the man picked up the weapon and examined it, before suddenly pointing it at the first scientist and firing. The startled man collapsed in a painful spasm, writhing on the ground in pain from the electrical shock that permeated his body.
The man threw the gun down in disgust. "It's not lethal."
"Well, sir," the second scientest tried to explain, "this weapon is for disabling enemies and--"
"Terminate the project. It is a waste of funds. We have enough non-lethal weapons as it is. If you can't kill with it, I don't want it. A crowbar would be better than that."
"Yes, sir," was all the scientist could say.
Realizing that the man was more irritable than before, the second scientist glanced back at his still-writhing companion before leading the man to a second room in the complex.
"What does this X003 do?" asked the man after looking at the sign.
"The X003," said the scientist with a hint of pride, "is one of our oldest projects. It's a biological weapon that can selectively destroy a nation based on genetics. Currently, it only works against the Kusari people, but we are adapting it for functionality against the Bretonians. Unfortunately, the spores are currently not contagious and --"
"So," the man cut in with a mean smirk, "how long have you been 'adapting' the organism against Bretonia?"
"Well, four years but you must understand that its only--"
"Four years?! You must be joking, Professor. This is what you have to show me? A disease that cannot spread itself and only works against our own people. Do you think this is humorous, because I can assure you, Professor, you are walking on thin ice. Waste of funds."
The man walked out of this room as well, now thoroughly disgusted. "Take me to X777, professor."
"Um, sir. That.. well... Sir, the thing is, I can't do that. X777 is not one of my supervised experiments."
The man grinned even more widely. "I know. It is mine, for the Tokei-Tai."
*****
The scientist gasped when he saw the contents of room X777. There was a naked woman, half encased in a metallic alloy, strapped up to various tubes and wiring. A plaque on her helmet read, "Subject X777. Origin 06-06-06-1988. Identification 0777-66. Project Unit 450." Her eyes glowed a frightening red hue.
A nearby meter indicated that incubation period was due for completion in 10 days, 08 hours, 43 minutes.
Distractedly, the man put his face up the glass casing in which the woman was held, whispering, "Welcome to life, my dear."
He suddenly snapped back to reality, straightening his black tie before walking out of the room, trailed by the downtrodden scientist. The door closed behind the two.
"Tell me, professor," said the man, suddenly cheery. "Do you have any other projects?"
"Sir, I've shown you all them already."
"Good."
The scientist collapsed to the ground, his coat painted crimsom. Clutching the knife in his belly, the scientist turned to his side, in a rapidly expanding puddle of blood.
"I'm sorry but it had to be done. There are some things you just aren't supposed to see." The man smirked again, pulling the short kodachi out and wiping it clean on the scientist's lab coat. "Don't worry. I'll put a recommendation for you to receive an honorary award on behalf of the Kusari nation for your work. Perhaps even a Takoji-Nobel Prize."
The man walked away. He had no such intention.
