This says it all. Any suggestions?

Carlos Rivera: Corsair Brotherhood Pirate - Retired, shifted to Tripoli Shipyard's Research and Development engineering teams
Anthony Cameron: Guild Core Bounty Hunter - Killed in Action, committed suicide after being trapped in Omicron Minor following its destruction
Juan Ruiz: Outcast Ghost of Razgriz Pirate - Killed in Action, killed by the Sirius Coalition Revolutionary Army during Bretonian piracy raid
Michael Winchester: Liberty Security Force Agent - Missing in Action, likely killed during Rheinland espionage mission or trapped in Rheinland Space
Eric McCormick: Order Pilot - Retired, shifted to planetside training of new recruits

Liberty and Nomad Backstory, Very interesting - read it!

Last straw is buffing it with... a power buffer. It's saved me before.

(Shame, I love that game.)

Well, I don't have a power buffer and I can't really go out and get one either. Any thoughts about the toothpaste?

No idea on the toothpaste.

No one in your family has one? Or a friend?

DO NOT toothpaste, try taking it to a local game store, the one I worked in had a CD buffer designed for game disks.

FFVIII is a good game, but I love VII best, but I gave it to my gf, she loves me for it xD

I'm pretty sure you know what torrents are. I advise that you simply find a torrent of the game, download it, then either burn it then use it on your PSX/PS1/PS2 if they're chipped, or use an emulator to play it on the PC. You own an original copy of the game, so it isn't illegal for you to do so.

If it isn't scratch that badly, you can always see if you can copy the files from the disc to a new one. Write protection is bound to be a bit of a problem though...

Anyway, that's my halpz.

Characters:

[FF] Seth Askura - Serving commander in the lawful mercenary unit "Faith of the Fallen"
Askura - Off duty commander in the lawful mercenary unit "Faith of the Fallen"
Muraka - Elderly Kusarian trader.

[FF] Is now a (mainly) lawful mercenary group. Anyone under the tag who commits unlawful activities should be reported at once to myself, [FF].Jaden.Crow or [FF].Klauss.Schneider. Thank you.

I would reccomend a gamestore, or similar shop, as at least here, where I do live, they usually do the "CD/DVD repairs" for a VERY small charge, and from my experience, even if you scratch the CD with a knife and the throw it out of the window, they will still make it looks (and work) as a new one.

EDIT: *looks at the post bellow* From my experience, the toothpaste have tendency to kill the CD for good.

I buy things I don't want to make an impression on people I don't like.

There's nothing wrong with using plain toothpaste to remove scratches. Some people are just paranoid.
Try this method first, if it fails take it to a game store to try to fix it, if that fails then download a torrent of your game. Like Askura said, it's legal since you own a copy already.

I mostly lurk around Media Center these days.
