*Re: Explaining Myself*
To Grand Admiral Golanski and the Admirals,
I'm not very good at being formal about stuff, and you probably want to hear as little from me as possible right now, but please hear me out!
I was at Freeport 11 twice during the crisis over the CORE base; I guess you probably already know that. I was there on a humanitarian mission: together with some like-minded station crew from Cairo we organised the delivery of basic supplies for the Zoner inhabitants of the Freeport. Maybe more importantly we were able to provide screening against potential infestees during our time there. The point is that we did what felt right, and especially with regard to the screening I have no regrets that we were able to operate in a way that allowed the Order to continue its operations for the safety of humanity on both sides of this sorry scrap.
It would be dishonest to come up with any reason behind what we did; it was just gut feeling at the time, and most if not all reasoning happened in retrospect, but both me and the handful of staff from Cairo currently lodged aboard my ship in fear of their lives make it clear in the strongest possible terms that we are not traitors. We go as far as to point out that no orders came down from the Overwatch forbidding the supplying of the Freeport, nor have we broken any Protectorate law as they stand.
I have much to be thankful of in you all. I do not forget the feeling of seeing the Order ships coming to my rescue in Liberty, nor the time and effort spent to my benefit ever since. Despite the apparent disagreements, and there are many, I believe as much as anybody else here does in The Order and want to see the day that we finally make Sirius safe from the Nomad threat, and that we are willing to put whatever bad feeling they're might be between us to bed in the name of a greater purpose. Currently my ship is sheltering at another Freeport, and we would like the admiralty's assurance that we are safe to return to home space and continue our work in the good name of the Order.

Return to base
From one side, explaining actions of you and the people that accepted you as commander during the incident is more than it could be expected from most... from the other side of the coin, you have disgraced The Order and your uniform by sending it from... some unidentified Freeport rather than having dignity to report about your mission's success or failure to us in person.
None of your own initiative's ending parameters indicate that returning to Cairo is not an option. Crew, yours included merely fulfilled orders from a superior officer and cannot be held accountable even if their decree was found illegal. An officer, as this prestigious title entitles is position of great power but not without expectations that go along with it. You are expected by your peers, superiors and anyone who follows you to be a shining example for anyone around you. Failing to display courage in standing up towards possible judgement is of a poor example to our soldiers, reducing morale and possibility of desertion is a heinous act to commit.
Admiralty is utmost dissapointed in your conduct rather than what you actually did. Admiral Shepard was herself directing some of the Zoners and Freelancers to ship aid to Freeport 11. What happens now is up to you but I hope you will not choose fate that will undo you.

*Re: Acknowledgement*
To Grand Admiral Golanski,
I am grateful for the understanding you've shown us here. I'm sorry I have not been able to return to Cairo until now, but I am finally making preparations to leave Freeport 11 to return home with everyone. It will be great to get back to working on my projects in the relative peace and quiet. I did make some progress on one piece of work in my absence which I hope you will find really interesting, but that can wait until a more appropriate time.
Hope you're okay, and I really hope the peace negotiations are going well.
