After the loss of their second destroyer and the complete destruction of the Battleship Leicester with all hands lost, the Bretonia Armed Forces finally admitted defeat. The Armed Forces and Police Authority responded by restricting all traffic to the station, officially declaring it "Abandoned due to severe radioactive contamination" However, they ordered the Battleship Ark Royal to keep an eye on Belfast and to gather a fleet aswell as a boarding force to subdue the Mollys. Based on the currently shifting lines of combat within Bretonia - to include the Kusari Naval Forces capture of Glasgow Outpost, it was more likely that the Ark Royal would have been sent to the front lines against Kusari.
The outbreak of war in the Taus prevented the Ark Royal from making a move, however.
With the Gallic attacks on Bretonia taking up all of the Armed Forces military capacity, Belfast is not likely to be retaken any time soon.
Despite the low threats weighing on Belfast, standing in the open would left the station an easy target for any of the Mollys' enemies ,therefore preparations to protect their assets were set in motion, slowly in the first steps of the Kusari war, but with the current instability in Bretonia due to the two warring kingdoms, the deployment of the long planned minefield around Belfast has recently sped up.
Even if the Mollys were already prepared to sabotage the station by setting up explosives ( including nuclear devices produced at Mull ) in case all hope to defend Belfast was lost; they recently started to gather and store more and more explosives aboard the station to be able to destroy it enterily if any bold enough party would be willing to board their facility ( be it the Royal Navy, the Armed forces, or anyone else ).
The molly agenda consists of two steps :
-Store more explosives ( mostly nuclear devices ) to be able destroy completly and instantaneously their facility if boarded.
-Prevent any attack that could lead to the station's board, including massive fleets, by laying a minefield all around Belfast.
Step two, Belfast Minefield ( note that Plutonium shall be brought to Mull where it will be processed then shipped to Belfast ). Finally, we decided that the Plutonium explosive charge will be processed along with the Black Market Munitions directly at Belfast.
